The staff at mid-pen are incredibly attentive, professional and caring at a time when you're generally creative when you have to take your fur-baby in for something wrong. Incredibly busy, appointments are mandatory however if you have something urgent they will take you in and have you return at the end of the day. The staff take the time to help you understand the issues and detail out the available options, providing professional advice on which direction to go. Our go-to vet.

Terrible experience. We have moved from NYC and miss the city so much for this. Vets in the Bay Area are not anything close to the level of experience and care that we are used to receiving. We tried many clinics and this one seems the worst of all of them. The prices are completely outrageous e.g., $4,400 to extract a broken tooth! This is the dentistry clinic they work with! But at least, if the service was good but not even. Dr. Megdal didn’t care less about our dog. She didn’t even administer the right treatment to our bully and problems with her eyes got so bad a few months ago. Her licence should be removed. So if you absolutely have to go, I would avoid her at any price. From pet owners who love their dog more than anything else to another one…

My experience at Mid-Peninsula has been phenomenal. When I adopted my dog during the pandemic I was having a difficult time finding a Vet, but from my first encounter with the staff here it has been painless, seamless and a huge relief to know my little guy is in good hands. Dr. Megdal has been nothing but an angel and has treated my pup like her very own. Not once I have questioned the her recommendations as I know she know whats best for him. If you want to have top quality care for your animals you cant go wrong with this hospital and I could not recommend Dr. Megdal highly enough.

Really like Mid Peninsula. Their vets are thoughtful and caring, theur prices are fair and they are very Covid safe. We are taking our two dogs and cat and cutoff be happier with them than we are so far.

At both of my visits with different animals I felt very well informed of procedural steps and diagnosis. Each time the vet took time to go over all that had been done and what steps to take at home. It was very thorough each time and I felt my pets were very well cared for.

Dr. Forgette and staff are wonderful. Never rushed. Always available for questions. Poppy is in good hands. She may not like it, but they treat her well.

Went to pick up meds after work, it's was a pretty smooth process. I called the phone number on the sign in the designated parking area, got my info sorted out, and they brought the meds out to my car. Quick and simple. The staff was very friendly and helpful, given it was almost closing time and they probably had other clients trying to squeeze in last minute appointments and what not, they are really upholding the customer service standard, which I appreciate.

Helpful and friendly vets and staff, providing vital assistance with my cat's international travel process. It was to take my 11 yr old cat flying with me back to Taiwan. There were quite some regulation steps need to be done with a vet for export. The rabies shot was supposed to be the easiest step, but forms provided by usda aphis and Taiwan had a discrepancies about what types of shots were accepted. The vet double-checked with aphis and me and my sister to avoid taking an additional shot that would be not ideal for my cat. The rabies certificate also needed to include specific info and was revised after communicating with the hospital’s contact person. A health exam form which needed to be embossed by the aphis local office was the biggest hassle. To my speculation, aphis seemed to only accepted online submission, which could only be done by an aphis accredited vet, due to the pandemics , and no longer accepted in-person appointments, which could be done by the owner. The hospital never did this before, but was able to figure out how-tos for us. Although it did take quite some time, but at the end, all steps were done on time, and I am grateful for the assistance the vet and staff provided here. During the covid-19 pandemics, owners needed to wait in the parking lot for a staff to take the animals for the vets to exam or for other matters. If necessary, vets would call owners to communicate.

I truly appreciate the people at Mid-peninsula Animal Hospital. My “Max’s” Doctor is working hard to solve his problems and last trip my car wouldn’t start when I went to leave. They helped and let me leave it overnight when it got late. Thank you so much everyone. A special “thanks” to Shanna!

The covid safety is managed well - you wait in your car and the staff collect and drop off your pet to you. Dr Megdal is friendly and professional, and has answered all of my questions about dog care. My 12 week old puppy seems to be happy when he comes back from his appointments!

I’ve had a great experience using Mid-Pen for my cat in the past 4 years and having their help importing her successfully to Taiwan 3 days ago. I want to show my appreciation to them by sharing my experiences here: About Importing My Cat to Taiwan— I want to do a shout out to Sharnée for her patience and diligence with my many questions and requests. Importing animals to Taiwan was such a long and complicated process that stretched for 7 months. Sharnée was very professional with me through out this time. I also want to thank Dr. Santiago for making the extra effort contacting USDA confirming the vaccine that my cat had already received qualified for the import requirement, so that she didn’t need to receive the dead virus rabies vaccine (known to potentially cause cancer in cats) as stated on the Taiwanese website. It showed that Dr. Santiago was making a decision based on my cat’s wellbeing and I am thankful for that. About Their Vets— I’ve had 3 different vets overseeing my cat during these years and they are all excellent and truly care about the animals in their care. The vet (I think it was Dr. Voss) was able to tell something was wrong with my cat’s diet by looking at her fur and recommended the appropriate diet for my cat to regain her health (basically it was time to switch adult cat diet to senior cat diet.) About Customer Experience & The Owner— About 2-3 years ago, There was a miscommunication between me and the front-desk staff and I was unhappy with it. The owner (I believe her name is Holly) took the time to call me back and resolved the issue. She was professional and a good listener. I also noticed that they constantly invest in customer experience, such as how the front desk communicate with the customers and the new online patient portal that they just rolled out. About The Facility & Visiting During Pandemic— I visited the new facility in Redwood City a few times before the pandemic and it was new, clean, and spacious. I feel safe and convenient to continue seeing the vet here during the pandemic because I can wait in my car in their garage and their staff would come pickup/drop off the cat at the car. The front desk and the doctor would call my phone to communicate about the billing and the health of my cat. I will recommend using them as your go-to animal hospital for your pet.

they were very good at taking Covid-19 precautions. they meet you at the parking lot, take your pet and return when they are done. Dr. Celia, called me multiple times to talk about my cat and what I need. They were extremely helpful during a stressful time and they helped me get the health certificate required for international travel in spite of my very unfriendly cat. I am especially grateful to Sharneé for scheduling and help with the certificate

UPDATE I strongly recommend Dr. Forgette, she is very thoughtful on how she handled issues with my dog and provided great care. He got better after too. Later on I had to schedule an appointment again but she wasn't available so I scheduled with Dr. Lowery and she wasn't as helpful - at times felt like her tone was condescending and insensitive towards my dog's care. --------------------------------------------------- I appreciate them for still taking us in for an appointment during the shelter in place order during the COVID-19 outbreak. I sense they all really care about serving animals and their owners. Dr. Forgette was so gentle and kind to my elderly dog. Even though she was very busy she was patient with all my panicked dog parent questions and explained everything thoroughly. She also shared all the treatment options for him so that I can decide on what is best for him.
