Wow, i love this place!!! It is so well organized and the owners are super sweet and love the dogs, are great to their employees and have a really nice setup! Looking forward to having my doggo go!

Can't imagine taking our dog anywhere else. Dan and all of his employees put so much effort into making Planet Pooch a safe and constructive environment for the dogs. Our dog is always so excited to go in, and it makes taking trips much easier when we know he's having a blast the entire time.

This place is great! My dog loves coming here and it takes the stress out of going on trips because I know he'll have a great time here.

We had been looking at different doggie daycares in Redwood City before we chose Planet Pooch and we never regretted it! We have a VERY hyper husky and the exercise she gets at Planet Pooch is the only thing that makes her pass out at the end of the day. The place is clean and well-kept, and we love that they have web cameras so you can watch what your pup is doing at any time. They also have separate rooms and outdoor areas for small dogs and big dogs. One of the things that we like the most is the personalized approach. The owner and his stuff are very nice, we feel like they really care about dogs and always send us fun videos or pictures. Highly recommend this place!

They are the best! It’s been so great to have a place for our pup to go and be social. It’s the only place he likes to play with other dogs and people! We’ve seen his behavior improve steadily over time and we know they are a big part of it. The staff really take the time to get to know each dog and work with individual needs. We tried dog walkers and another daycare before finding planet pooch and the others just couldn’t compare. Highly recommend this local gem!

This place has taken such great care of my dog for every vacation over the past 7 years - my dog always returns exhausted and happy. He also seems genuinely excited and happy when he arrives. If that's not an indicator of a great care provider I don't know what is!

The reason for the 1 star is for the unprofessionalism met with during our pup's stay. This is the same level as using Rover, if not, worse. If you want your dog to be treated worse than you would treat them and if you want half of your dog's food to go missing in just one day's stay, then by all means take them to Planet Pooch. The biggest draw to Planet Pooch as a boarding place for our pup was the advertisement that dogs get to spend time with humans during their entire stay, the dogs get to snuggle with a human at night during their boarding experience, and that there is access to Nest cameras in the common areas to keep an eye on them. They advertise a modern (if a bit more complicated than necessary) method for drop-off and pick-up, assigned meal times, and lower prices than most boarding places. But to be honest, the headache we encountered was not worth the amount money we would have saved if we had stayed with them instead of going with a more professional boarding place. Where to begin? We were a bit apprehensive when we took him for the first time for the temperament screening and found out that we could only drop him off, no matter what, between 7 am and 11 am, not before and not after, and only pick him up during specific time intervals, but we thought that since he would be sleeping next to someone, this would be a small inconvenience compared to the benefits of him being in the presence of a caretaker 24/7 while we are gone. The fact that payment had to be made via cash or check with the "Pay to the order of" section being blank, should have been a signal of something sketchy. We dropped him off Friday morning since we had an early flight Saturday morning and couldn't accommodate the drop-off time. As we watched during the day, we noticed that most of the time, there was a lack of caretaker presence. As the day wore on, and more dogs left from daycare, a caretaker was not seen near the dogs for several hours. As night drew on, there were four dogs left outside in the Central Bark area including our own, with no care taker to be seen. The dogs were left outside in 50-55F weather, by themselves until 11:06 PM. We called them several times and tried to reach them via Facebook messenger between the hours of 9 PM and 11 PM to see what was going on and why the dogs were left outside by themselves. We have still received no answer. The next day between our flights we managed to get our friends to pick up our dog and drop him off somewhere more professional instead as we had gotten no explanation as to the reason for not returning our calls, not bringing the dogs in until 11:06 PM in such cold temperatures, etc. By the morning, we were expecting to be able to see our dog in the Nest cams in the common areas as we had paid for all-day play. There was no sign of him. We called them to let them know that our friends were going to pick up our dog and let them know that we were uncomfortable with him staying there any longer. They said that they would have all of his things ready to go for when our friends arrived, but it would have to be after 2:30 PM. When our friends picked up our dog, they received only 13 of the 24 pre-packed bags of food we had left there for feeding our dog his 3 meals/day. When we called to see why that had happened, the girl who answered the phone was completely unprofessional, did not answer the phone the way a properly-run place of business should, letting you know that you had called Planet Pooch. Her manner of answer was almost intentional to make you think that you called the wrong number. When we approached her on the phone about not giving all of the food bags to our friends for our dog, she said that they could drive all the way back with another bag to put the other food bags in, because she didn't have a bag to put all the food in, and that's why she didn't give all the food back in the first place. To be more concise and clear, I would never trust my dog there ever again. It was a complete and utter disappointment. I recommend you take your dog somewhere else.

EXCELLENT...Over 10 years, & still going!!

The worst place ever. Last week we put our dog who is part of my rescue there for one day. The facility has gaps in their fence that they know about, and through which dogs have escaped before, and our little guy ran right through the gap and was hit by a car and died. Planet Pooch has a record of bad things happening to dogs while under their care. If you care about your dog you will never bring it to Planet Pooch in Redwood City.

Our dog loves the place, and can't wait to go. The staff is super warm and friendly, and the fruit trees in the middle just make the place unique.

My dogs stay at planet pick every time I travel. The staff is super friendly and care about the well being of the dogs. My dogs are retired lab dogs, so it is great for them to stay in a place without cages. Love this place, and so do my dogs.

Our dog loves this place!

We love Planet Pooch! For nearly 9 years, we've been taking our dog here for overnight stays when we're on vacation. They go to great lengths to make the dogs comfortable. In fact, on big firework night like New Year's Eve and Independence Day, they run big fans to drown out the noise. The hours may not always be ideal, but that's only because the top focus is on creating a great environment for the dogs.

Really good service and introduction for the dogs. Our small cattle dog is intimidated by large groups but has made friends and is excited to go there!

I feel like this facility cares about my dog. I try not to leave her at day care if possible, but I feel good about leaving her with Planet Pooch.

Wonderful dog day care! The owner is really nice anr knowledgable, the staff is always friendly and caring. Most importantly, the dogs seem to have a great time here.

as a fairly new customer of Planet Pooch I am very impressed. My dog is fear aggressive of new people who do not approach and handle him correctly, Dan took a lot of time with Rocky and eased him into the group of dogs. Now Rocky loves to play with the other dogs, has learned how to approach new dogs, and the hand offs are pretty easy.
