worst place ever, I doubt they know anything about grooming. Our English springer spaniel after grooming looks nothing like an ESS. There are also ~10 areas where our dog is literally shaved as bold

My foster dog, Archie, and I have had nothing but good experiences. It has gotten him to relate to other dogs and feel free to walk, on leash of course. Thank everyone for being there.

Honestly customer service was kinda whack and not very welcoming nor helpful only one groomer was helpful at the end. The problem was My aunt who only speaks Spanish took my dog to her grooming appointment, but they didn’t want to take in my dog because her vaccine records weren’t showing up although my dogs records were in another account anyways they came off with a lot of sass and unnecessary attitude towards me and my aunt who we were very respectful and patient. Anyways once I came in to talk, their whole excuse was pretty much bs and they ended up fixing the situation pretty fast when I told them, I knew they had my dogs record and they could’ve easily pulled it up, In which they did and attend my dog after I talked to them. It seems like they were taking advantage of my aunt since she’s very nice and gullible in situations like this. Overall I don’t think I’ll be going there just because they came of as untrustworthy towards their clients, so if I can’t trust them why would I trust them with my dog. who knows how they truly are towards our pets behind close doors?

I recently moved and have had to shop here for frozen rats for my snake while I source a local person to supply... Unfortunately the two times I have come here to petco, the ball pythons have had consistently either low temperature readings or low humidity readings. There is feces in the tank too. The gauge of one today had a humidity reading at 25%. When I brought it up to the manager Corey, he had told me that the gauges are inaccurate/ basically don’t work and so my concern was irrelevant. If they are inaccurate, how are staff able to correctly measure these animals specific needs for temperature and humidity? Please do not buy ball pythons from Pet Co and support the conditions these animals are kept in... buy from local breeders or adopt a snake in need of rehoming.

Worst grooming experience! No wonder why this Petco was the only shop that had more availabilities for booking. One of the groomers was extremely RUDE and offensive the whole time. They were overbooked and had to reschedule my appointment the same day. I can undertand this, but one of the groomers (too bad I did not ask her name) will not be able to provide the good care and service your dogs deserve. Not to mention the horrible service to dogs’ owners.

First of all let me just say I have rarely ever left a bad review, but a few of the employees here were offensive and rude! We have 11 animals including 5 exoctic ones, and have NEVER experienced such rude customer service from ANY pet store as Petco Redwood City! I booked a grooming appt for my dog 3 months in advance just to get told when I arrived, they were overbooked and couldn't groom my dog because I was 4 minutes late! My family had a 95th birthday celebration coming up and needed my dog groomed for the party. LEANN, the groomer was insistant about NOT helping me because I was late (by 4 minutes). She said they had dbl booked and she already started the "OTHER" dog. Then one of her co-workers came in (apparently had nothing better to do), got behind the computer and as I thought she had come with some sort of power or solution to try and fix the situation, that clearly wasnt the case. She proceeded to challenge me and escalate the situation trying to elevate me with her rude snarky attitude. At that point I wasn't comfortable leaving my dog (whom I love & adore very much), with such rude inconsiderate emoyees! I would've have appreciated at the least, a courtesy call letting me know they needed to cancel my appt, but according to the snarky employee, "They are too busy grooming dogs to pick up the phone to cancel on you!" My grooming appountment was for 9AM, at this point it was 9:25AM (wasting my time and thier own spending more time trying to cancel my dogs appoinment rather than keep it!) I demanded they get someone from Corporate on the phone while I was still there. After about an hour of being distraught and waiting to resolve this dillema... finally a kind manager named Angelina came in, and tho she informed me corporate said they can't speak to me, I appreciated the effort and time she applied to make the call. She offered to call around to try and help me. I really appreciated that someone was finally offering assistance and attempting to come up with a solution. While the manager, Angelina was on the phone trying to make arrangments to accomodate me, a competent employee named Jackie walked in and was able to groom my dog right away!! I was ecstatic!! JACKIE SAVED THE DAY!! She gave my Labradoodle a gorgeous cut!! Our whole family couldn't stop kissing and hugging my dog and her beautiful cut!! I can't thank her enough!! Jackie did an excellent job and saved the day!! My star rating was based on the rude snarky attitudes I had to deal with to keep my dogs appointment prior to Jackie's arrival.

7-31-21 update. At my visit today, I didn't think they were consistently implementing an employee mask policy. I really feel like it's essential that stores (ALL EMPLOYEES) consistently mask. Prior review *** They had the items I needed in stock and sufficient personnel. Minimum victory conditions. The store was clean.
