Just want to say I feel sorry for people have to go to this place for their loved pet. They force you to unnecessary doctor visits, test and exams. I was going to this place for years and I must say my pet is healthier stay away from them. If you have to go here just fight for what you think is good for your pet. Every single time I was there for a Vaccine or nail trim they push us to the doctor room and guess what coming out with $400 bill.

Dr. Oberholtzer is outstanding. I have a nervous dog and she makes his visits go much better. Dr. O. is super smart and her way with animals is exceptional. Dr. Oberholtzer is the best vet I’ve ever known.

WOW! Dr. Maillard is AMAZING! She went above and beyond to make sure my two dogs were taken care of. She is smart, well informed, tells you the facts, and ALWAYS returns your calls. She spent time giving my dogs a check-up prior to our move to Texas. Even knowing they would not be her patients anymore, she researched what vaccinations, flea & tick prevention and heartworm preventative they would need in our new home. She even coordinated with our specialty vet up at Blue Pearl in Irvine to make sure that all of the recommended medications were safe for our little dog, who has some health challenges. Across the board, Dr. Milliard deserves 10 Stars! In addition, the staff at VCA in RSM is kind, caring toward my dogs, and I have never waited long when I've brought one of my dogs in for an appointment.

We continue to have excellent care for our two dogs by everyone at this facility. "Dr. O" recently took a cracked molar and some small body masses from our senior maltipoo, Rosie, and she healed very well and does act like she feels better. Thank you! We have always had excellent care for our two dogs by everyone at this hospital. This past week, Dr. Elamir and the team (sorry I don't know everyone's name) cleaned both our dogs teeth under anesthetic. One of our dogs is 10 years old and it was also the first time our other pup had this done, so we were quite anxious. It went so very well and before that very evening was over, they acted like they had been just laying around at home all day. The care and post care (including medicine and a follow up phone call) was just excellent. Their teeth look great!

Staff are very responsive and easy to set up scheduling. We came here for my dog Scruffy's annual checkup and bordatella shots. Pricing was upfront and reasonable. Appointments are curbside so they will pick up your pet and bring them back and you can just sit in your car. We had Dr. O this time and while I never met her she was very communicative, informative and friendly. After the exam the office texts or emails you a link to pay so it's very contactless in that regard. All in all the visit was quick, easy and convenient and I appreciate Dr. O being so attentive and informative.I think the only issue I had (which isn't even a big deal) was that the office was supposed to email pricing and info for an upcoming service my dog needs but other than that I have no complaints! :) The staff that picked up and dropped off Scruffy are very kind as well.

Doctors are nice and friendly, so is the staff. I called told them I was here to get my dog. But they forgot to being me my dog. After about 25 minutes I called wonder what was going on. They told me they brought my dog up to me. Didn't they? I said no, it been almost half an hour. They did not seem very sorry about the fact they forgot. Its partly my fault too since I should of called earlier. I suggest calling them after about 10 to 15 minutes waiting. Or they will forget about you since you can't wait in the lobby right now due to covid. I think I will start taking my dog back to the vet I was going to when I lived in lake forest. I started using them because it was convenient. Driving 10 to 15 minutes to get there looks like it might be worth it.

My dog loves doctor O. Their friendly here. The only problem i had so far is medication refill. Apparently they record their calls but don't know who you talk to when you're trying to get a most need everyday heart medication for you're dog. Called twice they said put into fill but they just filled it yesterday when my boyfriend called to get it filled. Strongly.

Very disappointed with Doctor O and Love who I spoke with over the phone who couldn’t answer any questions on why they wanted to charge me $1,600 all over again when they ran tests 48hrs ago that came back negative and they want to poke and prod my dog this is not fair to my dog.

Dr. Elamir and Dr. O are the absolute best! Amazing bedside manner, it is evident that they truly care about each and every one of their patients. Took such incredible care and attention to my Graycee girl!

I love this place. Dr. O takes such good care of my babies (because that is what they are)! I like the online appointment feature, and I am loyal to Dr. O, but when my dogs need to be seen I do not wait. Wish the appointment scheduler had any "available appointments" and not Doctor specific appointments. I usually just call now.

They came out and got my dog from car. Seemed gentle with him. Quick to call me while I waited. Gave me options about quantity of blood tests.

They are so wonderful. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the vets, techs, and office staff. They are good with my animals (2 cats & 1 dog) and they were so supportive with my cat that passed a few years back. Highly recommend

By far and above the best experience I’ve ever had anywhere, not just at a vets!!! Dr Oberholtzer was not only so knowledgeable, but also caring, compassionate and she took the time to not only inform me of things I didn’t know, but to make sure my dog was completely calm before she ever took him back to do the procedure. If anyone needs to have their fur babies go to a vet, that’s where I’d go for sure. I know I will go back????

I have taken my cats here for nearly seven years. I have worked with Dr. Kelpe and Dr. Maillard. The vets are very caring, conscientious and helpful. I have boarded animals here too and been pleased with the service.

Doctor Hogan maybe young in age but her experience surpasses youth ! Santa Margarita Aminal Care is well equipped to handle any type of our pet care. We highly recommend it.

Had a fantastic experience with both Dr Mallard and Dr Loveland. Very knowledgeable and caring we also used their boarding facilities while on vacation and will use them again.

I have been taking my animals here for 35++ years. Dr.,Kelpe runs an amazing hospital. I wish physicians would treat their patients as well as Dr. Kelp and his staff do. We get follow up calls(plural) to see how the animal being treated is doing. Dr. Maillard is equally outstanding in her care for the animals. When Dr. Kelp retires, which I hope is not soon, it willl be very difficult to find another clinic as his. I am hoping Dr. Maiillard and other Vets buy the pratice and keep up the outstanding incredible care and treatment.

This was my first visit there, the doctor and staff are really nice. They were attentive to my pups needs and didn't try to sell or push extra services. They explained what was going on in simple terms. I really like this veterinary group and trust them with my senior puppies. Definitely would recommend to my family and friends.

We have been coming to Santa Margarita Animal Care Center for about three years. We just recently got a new puppy and we wouldn't want anyone else but Dr. McKee to take care of him. The entire staff is very loving to our dogs and great for us to work with!!! A total "5" recommendation from us...
