The Local Bark has been my husbands and I’s go to for our 2 dogs’ boarding needs for over 5 years. Their staff are knowledgeable and kind, and I have never left feeling disappointed with their services. Our favorite part of picking our dogs up (besides seeing their cute furry faces) is getting to read their report cards that the Local Bark fills out. Thank you Local Bark!

Clean, well laid out facility for Dogs. Reasonable rates for what is offered. I have what might be considered a difficult dog. He has separation anxiety and fears when outside. I explained honestly what my needs were for my Dog and was given an honest approach to what could be accommodated. Free 4 hr intake with a report card. I was in tears of joy when I picked up my Dog, seeing him in Doggie Daycare playing with other dogs. I was told from a prior Behaviorist this would not be possible due to his issues. We have a new future ahead and I am so thankful to have found The Local Bark. What you see online, pictures of facility and happy dogs IS WHAT you see in person. Look forward in building a relationship with The Local Bark and giving my dog the best quality of a doggies life!!

My dog Charley loves going to Local Bark. He gets so excited a block before we even get there. They are the best!

Waffles had a great time playing with the other doggies and when we picked her up from the Local Bark she slept the entire way home in the car. Parents and dog are really happy???? !

Such a convenient location for us, and a trusted place to bring our dog anytime we go out of town for a couple of days. Our dog is very sweet, but she doesn't do so great around other dogs...she tends to play a little too aggressively. So, they have an option called "personal care". With this option, she has her own area, and does not comingle with other dogs at any time. She gets her playtime and potty breaks by herself and the workers will play ball with her, etc. Great communication, easy online scheduling, and cute little report card that you get with each visit. Highly recommend!

Such a great place for my dog (Hank) to hang out and play all day with other fun dogs. Hank’s favorite thing is the pool play that he gets! The staff are always super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend The Local Bark for all day play and fun for your dog!

We've been to five different daycare due to moves, and Local Bark is Rory's favorite. He has separation anxiety so it means so much to us to have a place for him to stay where we know he will have fun and actually eat! The only downside is how hard it is to get him to go outside and pee at night after a day of playing. He only wants to move from snoozing on the couch to snoozing in bed!

I’ve had been bringing dogs for training and boarding to the Local Bark for nearly 20 years. We have been without a fur baby for the last 4 years but adopted a shelter dog last year. This week it was time to have him accessed for boarding in the near future. Everything was exactly as I remembered - perfect. Great professional staff, clean kennels and over the top concern for my dogs well-being. I’m so happy that they will be there to make my boys time away from us happy and fun. We were told of the Local Bark by a friend and it it is now our place to board our Alaskan Malamute every time we are in Sacramento. We have only great things to say about this place my wife loves the pics they put on the website it kind of lets see how she is doing would recommend them to anybody looking for boarding services

This is our favorite place to send our pup for daycare/boarding. They post daily pictures of all the dogs at daycare in the yard. They were very thorough in helping make sure our pup ate throughout her stay.

Our fur child Eddie LOVES to go the Local Bark. Been taking him there for at least 10 yrs now & still very happy with the care they give him while we are out of town. Gives us peace of mind & now we can view pictures of him on the Bark's website while we are away! He still gets very excited when we pull in to the driveway of “The Local Bark”. Highly recommend. ????

Our dogs are family, and Local Bark takes good care of them. They are very conscientious about making sure that dogs in their care have the full range of vaccinations and immunizations. It is a clean, well-organized facility with staff that is skilled and experienced at caring for dogs.

Tails a waggin’! I’m updating this review since the earlier review was written a while ago. I still LOVE local bark and recommend this day care and boarding as often as opportunity allows. The staff is great and their communication with me about availability and my dog’s behavior is very good. They’ve added a pool and the pups get two pool splash times during their weekly visit. That’s $5 for each splash, but they love it. The true test: my dog’s look forward to their Local Bark visits and they love on the staff the minute we get through the door- Tails a waggin’! **earlier review*** I've been using Local Bark as my go-to doggie day care for six years since we first moved to Sacto, first with our two older dogs and now with our two pups. I can't speak more highly of the staff who love on the dogs. When we had the older dogs they really took great care of Asha in her senior care stage. We now have Jasper and Eloise who have been in doggie day care a lot over the last three months. It's their second home. I adore the staff! The dogs are well cared for. I can't say enough good about the Local Bark.

My name is BJ. I have been going to Local Bark for several years. I love Day Care and the staff who care for me. I love to play with my buddies and I even have stayed several times over night. I am safe there, groomed there, and feel like a valued guest. There is a swimming pool for my buddies who like water...me, I am the life guard. I have been to Puppy Socialization classes, training with my mom and I know there are trainers available for doggies needing extra help. Local Bark is a good value for both humans and doggies. If you want your four legger to be well cared for, this is the most professional doggy care place to come.

Our dog loves The Local Bark! Staff are friendly and they are so upbeat and caring. Our dog loves the pool time play. He comes home happy whether he has been there for daycare or for boarding. They make sure that the pets are up to date on all vaccinations so I feel confident that my dog won't come home with issues.

First time been to Local bark for puppy play date . I signed up for a puppy and me which parents and their puppy came to hang out and share their experience. Staff are friendly and responsive. They will make sure the puppy is healthy before you come. The facility is clean and spacious. There comes with lots of puppy toys, placemat, pit ball, dog treadmill. My puppy enjoyed staying here and socialize with other puppies . Highly recommended. It’s only reserved for 10-16 weeks old puppy. Needed health record check before coming.

The Local Bark is my go to place for boarding, day care and grooming. Miss Copper and I have enjoyed their services for over nine years.

number one, my dog too had bad experience I too had bad experience my dog had scratch at forehead; not sure who is working in the "yards"; it looks like they have disinterested young underpaid rotating staff; not very stable staff was curt, brief when I dropped my dog off, and picked him up would never got back The mission statements, "dedicated people with love of dogs" (actuality disinterested young underpaid); "Passion for excellent service" (opposite witnessed), "happiness of the dog" (mine did not want to go back)

Our two dogs, Lulu and Phineas Finn love going to the Local Bark. Phineas loves water so he delights in being able to have a session in the swimming pool with like minded dogs. Lulu on the other hand has favorite staff members and dogs that she likes to hang out with. It's a good get away place for the dogs.

Local Bark has been the best place for us to trust with our 6 month old Lab puppy Luke. He is a high energy dog and while they had to remove him from his group activities, he still looks forward to seeing the staff every Friday. I've been very happy with the service all the way around.
