The Poway Animal Keeper is a wonderful boarding and day facility for pets! We love bringing our dogs here. The staff really gives great amount of care and devotion to them! Thank you Animal Keeper!

Awesome place to take your dog

The Animal Keeper currently has my beloved doggies and they have a wonderful place to vacation. The team here is so kind and full of love.

We’re not a fan, if we are honest.. our pup is very friendly and outgoing but we came back from our week-long trip, and something is just not right. My husband picked her up from the Poway facility on a Sunday morning and she was not herself, along with the rest of the day. She whimpered when she came home (has never done that before) and has been in her kennel most of the day. At a previous facility, she’d come home very happy and would snuggle with us immediately. It wasn’t expected, but we never received an update while we were gone (which was was received at her previous venue). I cannot consciously recommend this venue because of the way our pup is reacting after her stay.

My girl is always happy to see her friends, dogs and humans, at Animal Keepers. She comes home happy and exhausted after daycare. She’s boarded here a couple of times too and it gives me peace of mind that she’s at a place she’s familiar with and safe. Im so happy to have found this place!

My puppy loves going to the Animal Keeper. The staff is super friendly and attentive and are always happy to answer any questions that come up. At first I was a bit anxious to start taking my pup there since he is a growing puppy, but the staff recommended he socialize with the smaller dogs during playtime to get him started and I loved that idea! He is doing great and seems to enjoy it. Big thank you to everyone at the Animal Keeper!

This place is incredible! The work staff is very professional and they take really great care of my puppies ???? I don't have to worry when they're in their care! So glad that I found them!!!!

Justin was fantastic with my dog, who based on past experiences from abusive people and being at a shelter for a long time can be reactive. When in fact Leonard is a loyal, very loving dog and needs patience, understanding and a knowledgeable trainer. Another facility wouldn't take Leonard but Justin saw the potential and is willing to give him a chance. I was filled with pride for Leonard and grateful for the positive assessment and interaction Justin provided. We're excited. Many THANKS to Roberta who was so encouraging each time I called inquiring about taking Leonard to AK Poway and for Justin meeting with us and his willingness to give Leonard opportunities!

Overall a very excellent dog care place! Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Will definitely come back again. Thanks!

Had to seek a day care for my rescue when schools reopened as I am a special education teacher.My rescue is medically involved and her hours at daycare help me feel she is able to get healthy safe exercise and socialization. The staff like Roberta; Daniel and Mike and so many more there I don’t know all their names, make me feel happy for my rescue because she is not cooped up alone in my apartment all day. The staff show care and concern for my fur baby and no matter how hard my day is, picking her up there brings my spirits up again, as I see how happy she is from her time there. I couldn’t be a rescue mom without the Animal Keepers staff at Poway. Thank you for all you do to keep our fur babies safe; healthy and happy!

My fur babies can be anxious and picky with people, but they are always excited to come here. My dog goes crazy for all of the staff like she’s seeing friends. My cats are as calm as can be when i bring them in. I wouldn’t leave my family anywhere else. Thanks for all you do!

We have entrusted Poway Animal Keeper for boarding four of our dogs throughout the years. All have been rescues with varying characters and have been loved and treated with respect. Our latest pup, Fletcher, goes to camp a couple times a week for play and socialization and he loves getting dropped off to hang with both his doggy and people friends at AK!

Spacious clean facility with caring staff we have used them for day care and boarding our mediun sized dog loves the place the playtime upgrade when boarding is well worth the surcharge

My dog just had his first day at daycare this week and he was so upbeat when I picked him up, slept like a rock when we got home. I took him back today and he pulled me in to the place, super excited, tail wagging to go hang with his new friends. Thanks so much!

I take my dog Lily here whenever I go out of town to Boarding and she is always well taken care of and happy when I pick her up. :) Everyone that works there is very helpful and nice as well

They did a great job taking care of my bird when I went out of town for the weekend. She was happy and had loads of attention.

Needed to work on a project at home that needed my full attention, but wanted to make sure my 1 yr old Shitzu was taken care of, so I took him to The Animal Keeper for Doggie Daycare two days in a row. Each day when I picked him up, he looked very happy and well cared for. Thank you to all those who cared for him. My mind was at ease knowing he was getting the attention I could not give him for those two days. Thank you.

Our dog had a great 5 day stay though was happy to see us as much as the staff fawned over him (he's a corgi so of course)

My dog has become weak and lost pounds after 2 weeks of boarding with animal keeper and her bark is so laborious now. They said she was a picky eater when I called them to enquire how she was doing but it looks like she did not eat much at all. Not satisfied with the care they took. I am not leaving my dog with them again

Busy place. Very convenient place to take our dog who suffers from anxiety and can't be left alone. Just wish their rates hadn't gone up!

We have a two-year-old rescue Australian Shepherd. This was her first time overnight away from us. The handler’s were so gentle and so patient with her. I was very pleased and I hope to be doing a lot of business with them.

Had a groming included in our dogs stay and he looked and smelled nice and clean for pick up.

Excellent service! Our Xena jumps out of her skin each time we park our car in your lot. She loves her doggie day care????????

They take such good care of our dogs! You can really tell they care about the animals. One of our dogs is super shy, while the other is very dominant and they really take care of them. Our dogs stayed with them for 4 nights, so we got a discount for a bath and they did such a good job cleaning and grooming our dogs. One of the dogs (an Australian shepherd with A LOT OF fur) just ran thru some bushes a few days before we dropped them off and was covered in stickers. They did such a great job getting her cleaned up and brushed out. I’m so impressed with them. Thank you for taking such good care of our dogs!
