Wonderful staff. Very friendly and patient. They are also very friendly with one another so it feels very family oriented. Really nicely decorated. Thorough exams. My dogs tend to be defensive and somehow did not act up, probably because the staff is so nice and experienced! Shout out to Dr. Boyd and vet tech Riley (I think that's her name, she was blonde) for being so patient with my dogs!!! It takes a lot of love and talent to do what they do, especially with my animals who are more nervous. Will continue to come back as I have been the last 2 years!

We have a recommendation for our puppy from a friend. When we called our regular vet they couldn't fit us in for 6 weeks, and our girl was scratching so much she was red. Best Friends fit us in that afternoon and called us the next day to check on her. They are our forever vet!

My family loves Dr. Reinhart. After moving from Huntington Beach to San Diego, it was hard to find a vet that didn't make Lucy cringe. She loves them so much when we take the turn into parking, she starts jumping around the car practically out the window trying to get there. We adopted a new fur baby during COVID lockdown. The entire staff was so great implementing safety measures and still able to accommodate emergency visits. I highly recommend Best Friends vet hospital, after trying 5 other local vets. We will be longtime clients.

I changed vets every couple of years until I found one I was happy with. Everything they've done for my cats was reasonably priced and ethical, I never felt like I was getting random upcharges or additional services that weren't necessary. I know everyone's in business and needs to make a buck but once I know a vet is doing stuff like that I leave. This place is ethical. I've never disagreed with anything they've done so far. I appreciate it.

I just switched to this vet per a friend's recommendation. They are so kind attentive and understanding, not here to over charge and truly do care for your ???? I am so happy with our switch

We love this place especially Dr. Bob. Thank you for taking care of our puppies and our dear Snoopy (this was posted in 2015) Well, things have changes since Dr Bob sold his practice. This is our latest horrible experience with the new owners. Since Dr. Bob sold his practice this place is not the same ( we had been with them since the first week they opened) steady decline in customer service. One of our dog needed to be seen right away, we called and were told to bring him in ASAP. When we got there they told us they can't see him and told us to go to pet ER. I called and ask why they did not take our dog and the manager said they don't have any records of us calling in before bringing our dog. THIS IS A LIE. Why would we take our dog there without calling first and making an appointment? On top of that the Vet called my husband who was at work and asked him what was going on with our dog ( how would he even know we called them in the first place? if according to them we never called ) I was not able to contact my husband before that. Horrible experience. Thank God our dog is fine.

I'm not one to leave negative reviews but thought it was important to share my experience. I decided to bring my dog here because I was referred from an employee of Petco. I came in because my 5 month old Akbash had a drippy eye. They charged me $300 to test the eye and it came back negative. The vet said he didn't know what it could be and gave me some probiotics and antibiotics for the eye. He was very responsive and told me they would call to check to see if it was working and they did call and ask. The medicine made no difference at all so I let them know that. I was asked if I wanted to bring her back in and I asked why I would want to do that. I already paid $300, the vet looked at the eye and should have another plan of action. The young lady said she would ask the vet and call me back and I never heard from them again. There are many of these boutique vet clinics and I would steer clear of them. They are about making money and seem not to be very knowledgeable. I will stick with equine vets in the future. Many see dogs and they are better at what they do. Highly recommend staying away from this place. They charged me $300 to put some drops in her eye.

I started bringing my adult rescue pup here because it is where his previous owner brought him, and I am so glad that we did! The team took excellent care of our little guy during an anesthetic dental cleaning last year, and were very kind about all of my nervous phone calls. Over the past 6 months, we have gone through a myriad of health scares with our pup and Dr. Reinhart and all of the staff at Best Friends have been FANTASTIC. Dr. Reinhart found a heart murmur early and when following up with an ultrasound, we found some other heart/lung concerns that surely would have been life-endangering if they weren't caught early, however, we started him on medication and he is doing great. We also have had a months-long digestive upset saga, and they have been patient and communicative with all of our calls and emails, have checked in on him, and genuinely care about our baby. Dr. Reinhart even called a food company multiple times to try to follow up on a specific diet that we wanted to try - truly going above and beyond! She has always provided the most compassionate and kind care to both us and our dog baby. Sonia, Heather, Ashley, Hayley, Mia, and all of the other team members that have fielded our many phone calls and handled covid-pick ups have become a part of our extended doggie family! They all helped me feel so much more comfortable when dropping off our little guy when he was not feeling well. I highly recommend bringing your best friend to Best Friends Vet Hospital. They have helped make a VERY scary and stressful time for us much more manageable and we are incredibly grateful for the care that they provide for our little pup. Their prices are also fair and they don't push anything that isn't needed for the best possible quality of life for your pet.

I drive 30 minutes out of my way to go to Best friends veterinary , I always have a good experience and I believe that all of the people who work there have excellent customer service , always seem happy and helpful and genuinely care about your pets!!!

I have been taking my puppy here for a few months. She had some problems and now she has a UTI that doesn't't seem to be clearing. When I first took her in they wanted to do a urine culture for $275.00 which I declined because I have been out of work for a year. Today I had to take her back and they quoted me $298.00 for the urine culture. When I asked why it got raised they lied and said it didn't't and brought my dog out and told me they would no longer see her. I have always thuoght they were very high priced and now I am sure of it. Also, the vets NEVER come out to speak with me I would not even know any of them if I saw them on the street. I think this is very unprofessional!

These guys ROCK!!! They are the most helpful staff that we have ever worked with. Everyone is always so friendly and we love taking our dogs here. Highly recommend.

Our family cannot express enough how thankful we are that Dr. Chang and her staff took the time to quickly know our pup, Sierra. We needed answers for our pup since she was being treated for pneumonia since last August. Dr. Chang recommended Sierra’s chest x-rays to be sent out and read by an expert, it came back highly recommending us to do a CT. We went ahead and got the CT done. I should mention we were able to get the CT done ASAP due to the staff being so prompt and getting all of Sierra’s paperwork over. Although the results of the CT was not the outcome we wanted to hear, but at least we received the answers we needed for Sierra so we can make the best decision for her. Thank you Dr Chang and everyone that helped us with Sierra these last couple of days. - The Familia Family

Best Friends Vet continues to provide outstanding care for my fur baby. They've been accommodating, understanding, and figure out a plan to getting our fur babies back to good health. I'd recommend Best Friends Vet to anyone for quality care, friendly staff, and at a fair price. The office is always clean, and the doctors communicate clearly.

My pets always have a great experience when I take them to best friends veterinary hospital. Appointments are always fairly easy to get, and in some cases even the same day. They are really good about approving online pharmacy orders when I want to buy something from another store. TIP: due to quarantine owners are not allowed in the building with their pet. Be sure to call in and let them know when you arrive. Don't forget your mask!

Wonderful happy staff love my Bella's very caring doctor. Surprised at the emails by the end of the day. They check up also a day later. Love Love. Don't throw stuff down your throat.

I applied here for a low starting job that had basic requirements such as laundry, cleaning, unpacking, etc. They canceled my interview 2 times, both times I had already showed up and had been waiting to be let in by a worker. During the interview I was told the basic duties that I would be performing and it was communicated that this would work perfectly because I have no experience in the veterinarian field, but after waiting 4 days I was told that they were looking for a VetTech or someone with experience and poise in this field. Overall very unprofessional and honestly a waste of time for someone who is desperately trying to get a job.

I just want to thank everybody for taking such good care of my dog he's doing great you guys are the best the whole team you guys are special group of people thank you I from the bottom of my heart.
