My chinchilla was experiencing eye irritation, and I wanted to see a vet as soon as possible. I literally called over 20 vets in the bay area to see if they had any appointments available and if they treated chinnies (not all vets treat chinnies). None could see me until the end of the week or next month! Except Village Square Vet Hospital. The lovely lady who answered my call said she would ask her vet if there was anything they could do to see Lumi, my chinnie. I was so stressed and worried for my pet, and thankfully she called me back, and they were able to squeeze me in for a next day appointment. I was so relieved and thankful. I really appreciated Dr. Armor taking the time to see my chinchilla. Other places didn't make an effort to see my sick chinchilla right away. Dr. Armor explained everything clearly. She is so friendly. Since then, Lumi has been doing great and her eye is all better now. Thank you for an outstanding service. You will remain my #1 choice for my chinchilla petcare needs. Thank you!

We have taken our cat to both places and had great experiences at each one. Recently my cat has been ill and we went to the Portola valley location. They were able to get us in quickly because my cat wasn't eating. Due to covid we had to drop our cat off but the Vet called several times and explained very clearly what they thought was wrong and what treatments were suggested. Overall, we were very comfortable with the whole experience and will definitely be going back in the future.

I like the the doctors and staff here but the shopping center is not well maintained and dirty. Very unusual for such an affluent neighborhood.

Great place and super friendly and informative staff. They offer everything curbside but still in a friendly and personalized way. I'm truly happy I found them. What a difference to my previous vet. I can highly recommend.

Friendly, sends good reminders. Great with our cat who hardly put up a fuss with the doctor. Good advice seemed to work.

Came here because they were able to squeeze my pup in for a last minute appointment. For that I am thankful. Their vet, however, lectured me in a condescending manner. The message came from a good place but the delivery was offensive. I am a physician, I understand that some days are long, but I have never spoken to my patients or their family members in that manner. Oh, today they called to let us know we owe them $10 even though I paid the bill in full by credit card at the time of service. That's a first.

I inquired about neutering a male cat, and was told by the receptionist that it would cost $600-1,000 - unethical!! Found another clinic that charges $40. I'll not step foot in this place.

Everyone is very professional and kind to the frightened animals. They are also accommodating towards the humans and our problems - once, I was 20 minutes late and they already had the next (and last of the day/week, as it was Friday) appointment in the exam room, and were in the process of closing, but they still took my puppy in and gave her the final shots and checkup. The doctor also emailed me several weeks later, wondering how my puppy was doing after a deworming he performed on the day of my late arrival, mentioned above. I have never had such a plesent experience at a vet clinic, nor have I been to one staffed entirely by competent, intelligent, and compassionate people, all the way from the head Veterinarian to the receptionist. Thank you Village Square Veterinary Hospital! You guys rock!
