It's a dog's life is a home away from home for a sweet husky saber! Not only do they love him(of course) but he LOVES all of them! Saber does not like being away from home.. bit when we arrive at a dog's life when we arrive at a dog's life when going on vacation.. he wags his long tail and goes right in! They send pictures and always compliment how amazing saber did. They carefully put dogs with other like minded dogs to ensure fun for all! I love this place and recommend it to everyone!!

The manager here is top notch, and you can tell they care about the dogs.

I left my dog here for a day while I was in the process of moving, and he was well taken care of. They take pictures and videos to show you how your pet is doing, and separate them based on size and temperament. It's very affordable ($35 for a full day), especially for the amount of time and quality of care and attention they provide your pet. I wish I found them sooner. If I am ever in the Petaluma area again and need a doggy daycare, this is the place I'll be going.

Their staff are knowledgeable, caring and want to make both your experience & most importantly your dog's experience at 'camp' the best it can be. A special place.

This is the best un-fussiest safe doggy day care place in Petaluma area for my dog. There are real people (and owner) on site. The dogs get to play OUTSIDE with plenty of space in a ranch like atmosphere (with covered cooled rest buildings) and their pricing is straightforward - no upselling/hidden fees whether it's for day care or an extended kennel stay. They do offer a 10 visit pack which I have taken advantage of and they will also give a straightforward bath without any fussy other stuff. I appreciate this approach. My dog (Gordon Setter) seems relaxed visiting and leaving.

I am very pleased with the quality of care given to my dog by the capable professionals at "It's a dog's life." They listen to every word spoken, respond politely, are attentive to the dogs, and are well staffed. My dog is happy to be dropped off every morning before I go to work, and excited to see me afterwards. This is the only doggie daycare facility that I am aware of that allows drop off and pick up with enough flexibility. I give them 5stars!

Downgraded from 4.5 to 2. Dog came home sick. Took her to the vet and she took a week to recover from an intestinal infection. Staff failed to mention that they noticed she was ill when I picked her up so she exposed her sister who also was taken to the vet and was sick for a week. Was told by staff "there was something going around " with other dogs at the kennel.

They have a very clean kennel. Lots of people dropping off and picking up there dogs. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. It was great to see their products are made in the USA!

Great place to take your dog. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My dog comes home happy and tired.

A great place to bring your dog for doggy daycare!

I brought my little dog PeeWii here today for the first time, just for a nail trim and they did the best job ever! I am so happy.

Friendly Staff and my dog absolutely loves it. They all know your dog by name. We just show up and they always have a spot for my girl. Great for the day and for an over night stay!

This place is great!! My dog gets to play with other dogs and comes home tired and happy.

The first thing you see is a clean place and the only barking is from dogs playing. My guys looked great and happy when I picked them up. I think they wanted me to stay there with them.

All I can say about It's A Dogs Life is how glad I am to have found it. After needing to find a occasional boarding place and researching everything in the Petaluma area they seemed like they best. I liked that they are more out in the country away from down town. From the moment I walked in the door and met some of the staff, James, Trish and even the owner Karen, I knew my little guy was going to taken good care of. They gave me a tour of the facilities and was able to meet some of the people in the yard. Even though I had not even boarded with them yet, they also had a few dog treat samples to hand out which were nibbled up quite fast. I would recommend them to anyone that needs doggy day care or even overnight boarding.

I dropped my pup Alice off for day care and still do to this day I love this kennel they have all natural based treats and food no fake BS thank god because Alice is very sensitive with any thing I give her and she has never come back to me in any other state other then tired and happy and she is always up and waiting at the door ready to go. I really think every one should take their dogs to this place that's how much I love this kennel.

So happy my dog was able to come to this kennel, he came home so happy and the staff was very friendly, the office staff was able to answer all my questions and when I observed the yard staff I could tell they knew what they were doing and were able cater to them individually, I was so impressed I now take my dog there for training and have seen him improve in his listening skills and behavior far more than I thought was possible, if you are looking for a kennel, look no further

I have had the opportunity to visit several of the boarding kennels in this area, which have helped shape my vision on how to set up It's A Dog's Life. I am incredibly pleased with the result, the energy of the dogs during their stay, and the knowledge of staff here. One can absolutely feel the difference. We have really come a long way in the past 10 years that we have been in business. The staff at It's A Dog's Life truly wants your dog to have as good a time as you want your dog to have, if not, better! We are blessed here too, in that all the dogs are boarded under separate roofs, we do not have recycled air, and our play yards are 3 acres of fresh air. Come see for yourself, no appointment necessary for a tour, and we look forward to meeting you.

This is the only place I would ever recommend to anyone. The staff is incredibly dog savvy and kind. They know my dog and all her little quirks. My dog lets me know she likes coming here because every time we turn the corner to go to It's a Dog's Life she gets excited and starts wagging her tail. I feel assured that she is in good hands because of the level of care everyone gives her and the fact that she leaves tired and happy from all the time she has to play outdoors with all of her friends. I'll be sad if I ever have to move!

Highly recommend It's a Dogs Life. Since I have started bringing my dog here I have noticed a huge improvement in her socialization with other dogs. She is always tired from playing all day when I bring her home from daycare.

This is the only place where we can find Orijen products in Petaluma! It is nice to know they value healthy diets!
