Great service. Will be taking my new puppy there. They have a monthly plan that is better than pet insurance. Def a great place for your pets.

I felt this vet was very expensive, I was able to get 3 quotes on the same tests performed in this facility and found that I paid 50% to 100% more. AND TO THE COMMENT about all vets are expensive News Flash yes they cost money but price gouging is not right either. SOME of us have to balance our pet care with our ability to pay our bills ! My advice, do your research get quotes make sure you are comfortable with what your paying for and make your decision. I spent $800 before I wised up. Lastly check in with the shelters to get advice on best places to go. GOOD LUCK ! Lastly my advise to VCA please don't talk to people like your lining up a car deal its frustrating..

Dr. Kobashigawa and the staff here are very professional and friendly. This is actually the very first vet hospital in pasadena area that made me feel I’m welcomed.(I went to at least four, affordable ones, expensive ones and emergency clinic) I dropped off my kitten for a wellness check and vaccine update. Dr. Kobashigawa is very knowledgeable and her medical advises were professional. Definitely recommend!

I received less than excellent service by reception person while waiting for the facility to open. Given there are signs appropriately posted about staying in your car and contacting the center to confirm my presence, I fully understood the check in policy. Further, I have been a customer of the facility since august 2020 and that was the only process I have adhered to. On March 18th, I had to bring my puppy in for his neutering and arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled 7am appointment time as directed, when my puppy wanted to take a walk and relieve himself as puppies do. While walking, I noticed there was an advertisement about the Care Club through the window and proceeded to read the benefits of that sign that was located across the room. I was quickly approached behind the door by Kristen, a reception person and was berated to “BACK UP, YOU CANT BE IN THIS AREA!!” as I was reading the sign posted across the room. As an educated person, I clearly can read and have been strictly observing all Covid 19 rules and mandates especially as a patron of the hospital, but I don’t feel having a less than kind experience when simply walking my dog before a very vital surgery left me with the best confidence that the facility would provide my pet with stellar service. Maybe they should make sure the reception team is appropriately caffeinated prior to “receiving” the most valued revenue stream and let them know that they are the Face of the organization. I didn’t knock on the door or request anything of her, yet was reading about a program that I would possibly avail myself and my wallet of. There was no need to be met with such a displeasing demeanor at the start of my day during this unfortunate pandemic and critical moment in my new puppy’s life.

Absolutely adore the friends staff and our bunny’s doctor! I’m a very overprotective bunny mom and wouldn’t trust my national treasure with anyone else!

I do not like to leave negative reviews, but unfortunately would not recommend. Unprofessional and did not document legitimately, so we could not prove our cat's rabies vaccination when we needed to. Have had a lot of good experiences with other vet clinics in the Pasadena area, but sadly not this one.

Dr. Allsup is the best vet out there. This is a long overdue review. She did an amazing job diagnosing and treating my dog, Cody, when other vets couldn't figure out what was wrong with my dog. She also found other issues with my dog- heart murmur, cyst on neck- that was missed by previous vets. We moved out of state over a year ago. We miss her! If we ever move back to California, I would only take my dogs to this animal hospital. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure why there are these bad reviews here, I have been a customer of this office for several years for a few different pets and have always had the best service and care for them. The staff has always been polite and friendly, even to some of the (rather rude) customers I've seen get upset about the cost of something. News flash people, vet care is expensive. These are trained professionals and deserve to make a decent living, no? Anyway, I've never felt pressured to buy anything I didn't ask for, up-selling or otherwise. I would recommend their services for dog and cat care based on many visits.

This place is ok. Just have more cash then what you are quoted over the phone because you always get these "Surprise" extra Charges for additional shots etc that was NOT mentioned. However I come here because of Doctor Hajarr, he is awesome. He has taken very good care of my Siberian cat and if he wasn't here, I would be going somewhere else. Just being honest.

We decided to choose a vet closer to home and found VCA had this location nearby. Our visit was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Of note, I was very impressed with Dr Hajar's professionalism, knowledge, positive upbeat attitude and true love for pets. He took the time to go over the logic for his recommendations and gave use feedback as if our dog was his own.

They were doing great until they literally forgot they had my cat. I took her in for a quick checkup, said they'd call me when they were done, confirmed my phone number that they'd texted and called previously (including yesterday). 8 hours later I call and they say "we don't have any cat by that name, or any account under your number." After insisting and arguing they tell me she's been done for hours. They didn't even try to email me. Horrifyingly unprofessional. Was so worried. They didn’t apologize or explain anything when I picked her up either.

Please consider that this review is based on my personal experience... That said, This place runs the biggest racket that I've witnessed. They simply take advantage of how much we love our pets, and how vulnerable we are at the moment. I took my pet in for emergency check-up... 30 minutes later, we were sent home with no answers, no medication, and no relief whatsoever for my pet. I paid the $1500 bill... And was told that they would contact me to discuss the results of the tests they performed on my pet. That was 2 weeks ago, these crooks have not contacted me yet. After we left this place, I drove to a real animal clinic, and I was charged only $224 for the same tests. Here they sent us home with a diagnosis, meds, and my beloved pet feeling better. So, based on what me and my pet went through, i'll say this... If you truly love your pets, DO NOT take them to VCA A Breed Apart! These people have no heart! Thank you

Worst vet ever, tries to force you to get vaccines that aren’t necessary and aren’t helpful with any questions.

I brought in a stray cat that I found this morning that was in terrible shape and was having convulsions and basically dying. The staff and the doctor were amazingly compassionate and euthanized the kitty after considering every option. Doing that job has to be one of the hardest things and I really appreciated their selflessness. I admire their care.

High price! Bad service! Horrible experience with their pet boarding service. We sent our cat to their boarding service for only 3 days and our cat get ringworms!! We spent $200 on a health examination as they requested before the boarding: our cat was healthy before the boarding! However, they refused to take any responsibilities afterwards. We took our cat to other pet hospital for treatment.
