Update: Got my four-legged companions yearly shots and chip at no cost to me! Wonderful as I could not afford it at a veterinary office! Bit of a wait well worth it! Infuriating! I called to try and reunite a dog I found wandering around and its owner-don't call this place! it's just recorded information! no one to actually help you. I don't know where to turn but it's not here... [I found owners myself]

Our furbaby had to go on to greener pastures. The folks here were caring, compassionate and very helpful. They are great folks.

Terribly unpleasant people, rude, making you feel very unwelcome. I am 76 years old facing a back surgery and was told by one of the four I asked for help to carry smaller bags by myself. First I,asked one young guy who took one box and didn’t come back, then second one who also took just one and disappeared, the third said one moment and never came back. The fourth one was walking with one hand in his packet telling me I should carry some stuff by myself in. I had more than 15 bags, he gave me receive for 10. Mattress top, king size heating blanket and full size heating blanket were not even mentioned. WILL NEVER DONATE TO THIS STORE AGAIN! J.Beran

Worst experience ever. We adopted a dog after it had been held in the shelter for 10 days. We took him home, bought a bed treats, food, toys, new soft blanket, toothbrush and dog toothpaste. Poured as much love as possible out to him, only to get the worst call in the world, after four nights. The Palm Springs animal Shelter said that an owner had come forward to claim him. When the dog came into the shelter, he had no identification. No chip. No collar or name tag and the supposed owner had not come forward for 14 days. How on earth can you claim him with just a picture. We found pictures on the internet that looked just like him. When we did take the dog back, they jerked him out of our arms and quickly ran away into another room, where we couldn't follow. Other shelters only require a 3 to 5 day to claim your lost pet. Their 30 day is ridiculous and if it is in place, you should not be able to adopt for 30 days.

They always do a good job over their, both staff and volunteers... can get a little crowded for shot clinic days, you can make apointments, but not always a quick in an out... they are awesome... parking limited in the smaller lot but plenty of parking on street.

They are the best and their vaccinations are pretty cheap for your animals.

We did the last act of love for our awesome guy, Titus, on 12/6. No vet could see us for weeks. I called PS animal shelter at 1 pm, they got us in at 3pm. We had vets and in home service do this act before, for a lot more money, no one showed the care Sarah did. You're so frail at this moment, I gave her a hug for sending Titus on his last journey. We plan on putting PS animal shelter in our trust. Please donate. The city cut their budget by 300k for 2021.

Thank everyone on the staff . We had to send the most beautiful dog ever yesterday to heaven. Thank you for making it a little easier. We miss are sweet Titus..

2nd time i try to adopt and they dont have the pups available and wont tell you when they will become available, by the time you come back there adopted and not even posted online horrible shelter..

Had to take my 11 year old rescued terrier to be euthanized. It was her time and the staff could not be more helpful, sensitive and supportive. Worked with Tatum to set up the appointment and on the check in process which she made easy and smooth. Vet tech Yesenia did a great job with my dog and gave plenty of time for goodbyes. This is a great facility and will be where I go when I am ready to adopt again.

Excellent shelter. Friendly, helpful staff. The animal holding areas are clean and well-kept.

Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The animals are healthy and well kept. If you're looking to adopt a furr-friend I highly recommend this animal shelter, I have adopted two dogs successfully and their fees are appropriate considering the costs it takes to run a facility. Love it! Thank you for being there for the love of the animals!

Thank you for our beautiful Milo: AKA Taco. He is such a precious addition to our family! Our adoption helper was so kind and helpful! Milo rode shotgun on the way home from the shelter. He is an amazingly confident boy.
