My regular vet VCA, Ramon, couldn't get my dog in. I called every vet in the area. They got us in right away. Very concerned, friendly, fast. ❤

Very accommodating and professional. Prices are reasonable too. Have a very reasonable time frame for making an appointment.

I love this veterinary hospital, particularly Dr. Terry Hicks. I have been a client for 20 years, and they have helped 3 different dogs of mine. Dr. Hicks takes intense interest, time and attention to his pet/clients and owners. The staff are very helpful, return calls and are polite. They have taken caution with COVID, and still are providing excellent service as always.

I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR OVER 20 YEARS. A YEAR AGO I NEEDED TO GET MY DOG IN BECAUSE HE HAD A BAD COUGH. THE GIRL KEPT ME ON HOLD FOR 10 MINUTES. I CALLED BACK. THEY WONT SEE MY DOG FOR ANOTHER WEEK. IM SURE DR HICKS WOULD ALLOW MY DOG IN BUT NOT THIS GIRL SHE WAS UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. They did it again!!!!! We were scheduled for 8/4 at 4.My husband took our dog in. They decided to change the appt to 8/9. I was 5 minutes late and they REFUSED to see my pet. No one was in the parking lot.There was no excuse for this treatment for a long time client. I dont know if the doctor is aware of how unprofessional this new group is but I wouldnt recommend going there EVER despite the doctor being kind. I read quite a few reviews and they all co plained about the new staff. How can Dr Hicks be so oblivious to what is going on?

Staff is always welcoming & knowledgeable. Doctor Hicks is very caring & capable. I take all my pets here for care. I’m always happy with the care. Plus, my pets are happy.

We have been very happy with Dr Hicks for many years. However, welcome to Newsom's land. After waiting 20 plus minutes in the parking lot with temperatures over 105 degrees we cancelled and are looking for a new service.

Dr Hicks is one of the last of the Old School veterinarians. He is a very kind and caring doctor who takes as much time as needed with your pet. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

This in not a pet hospital. It is a clinic. My dog had a broken leg in they referred me to the Indio pet hospital. Even though they advertise as a pet hospital there's nothing they can do for your pet if it Has a serious injury. Their title is very misleading.

Dr. Hicks is not only extremely knowledgeable but makes sure you know what to do once your fur baby is back home. He follows up with call that day just to find out how things are going.. One if the best vets in the Valley.

I love this place! It’s the only place my roommates and I will take our dogs. They really care about their clients, both human and animal ???? I have a dog aggressive dog and have had other vets not that pleased with having to see her and this vet has never given me an issue and only has nice things to say. They take the necessary precautions to avoid her coming in contact with other dogs. This is also the only place that I can get an appointment in a decent amount of time and the prices are very reasonable. The vet takes the time to explain everything and answer all questions. From helping my roommates 16 year old chihuahua to my dog aggressive pit, to my other roommates puppy we have never been anything but happy with the services provided and will continue to only use this vet.

I have taken my cats and my dog to see Dr. Hicks. He has a great bedside manner and truly loves animals. His prices are very reasonable, the office staff are always very friendly. So happy I found this place!

Dr. Hicks is amazing! He is compassionate for all animals and is up front and honest. He has wonderful "bed side manner" and has such a heart when it came to the euthanasia of our loved one.

My husband made an appointment this morning at 10:40am for our senior dog with cancer. We were clear that we were hoping to either find out we can help him stay comfortable with meds or that unfortunately we may have to let him go. The appointment was for 4pm we are stressed waiting as he is beyond uncomfortable can’t eat can’t sleep, all of which the office is aware of. At 3:10pm we get a call canceling our appointment because they had an emergency. Apparently they chose compassion on a case by case basis and if your dog is in pain and suffering do not rely on this vet they will cancel on you an hour before your appointment. Absolutely disgusting.

They are very busy but they make you feel welcome, accommodate your concerns / needs, very strict protocols for Covid-19 and their procedures. I have 2 service dogs plus a 20 yr old Conure Parrot and used to work in the veterinarian field so I'm very picky. I drive over 30 mins to the veterinarian and will continue to do so for as long as I have animals.

They care for our little baby boy that wandered to our house as a stray 6 months ago wonderful people and great doctor

Read the other reviews... I should have but it was a true emergency n there was no time. It was closest. Maybe elsewhere we may have had better treatment n service. As it is, I will rush us elsewhere in the future! Thanks but no thanks if there is a next time!!!! Shame on them....

Dr. Hicks is a hero. He diagnoses our old Chihuahua every time

This is the absolute best pet hospital ever! All of our family go to Dr. Hicks. He doesn't rush you, no one will pressure you to spend more, the staff is amazing. I have never been so happy with a vet.

Very, very nice staff and Dr. Priced right and didn't try to add a ton of extra costs on. In fact they even gave us medication (sample) to try out on kitty to test for efficiency. It worked and kitty is happy and doing well. They will be our new permanent vet.

Dr. Hicks is wonderful. Years ago he saved my lovebird's life, with much personal engagement. Two years ago he expertly healed the broken jaw of one of my cats, which made a full recovery. Dr. Hicks has his own practice, he's not affiliated with a group, so he can charge less money than the big groups, that makes it easier on the pocketbook. But you didn't hear that from me. He has an energy to calm your pet, that automatically calms you down as well. His staff is just as wonderful. I always recommend Dr. Hicks to friends...and I myself would never go to another vet. I really do hope that he stays in practice for a long time - our animals need him!!
