If you love your pet, please don't take them to this guy. He shouldn't even be licensed. As for the ladies at the front desk, they were welcoming and sweet. Hopefully they find another vet to work for that actually knows what he's doing.

The absolute worst place ever to take a dog. I took my sweet girl because she had diarrhea and wasn't eating what so ever. They gave me medication and it literally messed with her eyes. Her eyes got so swollen & red & were rolled all the way back. I stopped giving her the medication & her eyes went back to normal. If you love your fur babies DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Very professional and definitely a positve experience for my 90 yr old neighbor whose dog we brought in.The staff was patient and polite with her and explained everything to her about what they needed to do for her dog.She was very upset that no one else in the area could see us because of the covid staffing shortages but La Quinta got her right in,they are pros! Winter visitors need to be able to get their pets treated when we are here.....this practice will see your pets.

I was unaware of how toxic lilies are for cats and last week on a Saturday evening we had a suspicion my cat (Captain Jack) of 6 years chew on some lilies. My family and I were so worried, and we took him to an emergency hospital, however when we were there the treatment option, we were quoted was upwards of 4 thousand dollars. At the time Captain was acting normal so we decided to take him to our regular vet. However, when I called on Monday, they had no availability to see me as ask me to take him to the emergency hospital. I called almost all veterinarian offices in the valley, but no one would take captain in that day. My last called was Laquinta Pet Hospital, and once I explained the situation, they made me a same day appointment with no hesitation. Even though Captain was doing good and had no signs of toxicity Dr. Allen took all my concerns seriously and order a blood test, that was conducted in the office, and it only took 20 minutes to get results. Unfortunately, the blood work shows elevated levels of creatine, and at the point Dr. Allen and I decided to do IV fluids for Captain. He admitted him for an overnight stay, then we tested again and even though his creatine levels were down I wanted one more day of IV to witch Dr. Allen and his staff made it happen. I am so grateful For Dr. Allen and his staff, I could write 10 pages with all the details of my experience, but in short, they all are kind, helpful and compassionate. I cannot say enough about La Quinta Pet Hospital, but I definitely recommend to anyone. Plus, I got to mention that their prices are so reasonable. Thank You DR. Allen and staff I truly believe you saved my Captain Jack!

I just started taking my puppy here this year, he’s my first pet, so I was very nervous going into it, especially since my puppy suffers from severe anxiety, but thankfully we had a very pleasant experience! They were very understanding and patient with my baby. One of the girls from the front desk, Selena was very helpful throughout our whole experience! They are also very prompt on returning calls. This is definitely our new vet home!

I gave them 1 star because i had to not because i wanted to.The worst attention and the most expensive animal hospital I've ever been to. 1000 dollars for a spay or nuter each cat this is ridiculous make me not wanting to have any pets. It's more expensive than a human clinic. All I see is a brand new Mercedes convertible parked outside.I took 3 cats to get there vaccinations ,but they couldn't do it because my cats had a alittle cold and they still charged me 275 dollars for just looking at them.LOOKING AT THEM,LOOKING AT THEM 275 DOLLARS. RIDICULOUS

We took our 9 year old collie to see Dr. Allen based on recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed. Dr. Allen spent time with us and our dog discussing his treatment and giving us options. Our experience was excellent and we are so happy to have found a new vet after our previous vet retired.

Friendly and caring staff who are compassionate and empathetic. Since lockdown it has been near impossible to be seen even for emergency services. La Quinta Pet Hospital have provided me service twice in these situations. Once despite being full with no appointments they managed to squeeze me in after hearing about my dog Rambo’s situation. He was profusely vomiting and having diarrhea, refused food/ water and was shaking. Indio VCA refused him and deemed it not an emergency?! My dog was in bad shape and ended up having to stay overnight. The staff member looking after him was so kind. She called me the last thing in the evening and first thing in the morning to keep me updated on his status. I’m forever grateful and highly recommended this place.

I called La Quinta Pet Hospital spoke with Mary, i had concerns of my dog that broke out in a bad rash and Mary was so helpful very attentive and also concerned. Mary let me know they were extremely busy but they were able to squeeze me in an appointment the following day.I showed up to my appointment the minute i walked in the gal in the front desk greeted me very kindly, i asked if i can meet Mary, Mary came out and it was a pleasure to put a face to whom i spoke on the phone with since she was also concerned about my dog. She was very sweet... My experience with the Doctor was also absolute awesome. The doctor saw my dog and immediate knew what he had, shortly after the doctor told me they were going to give me a quote and if i agreed with the charges he would continue with procedure and medication...which was also explained over the phone when setting my appointment. Anyhow the entire staff was so awesome that i will continue to take my dogs here.

Front desk very rude and unprofessional. Had no care or concern for 2 foster dogs and working with a reputable rescue group.

I booked an online appt for 820am and they didn't open until 9am?! Why?! This is the second time they book me a time that doesn't exist. I drove 45 mins to LQ and I had to wait more.. very unprofessional so I'm finding a new vet. My dogs deserve better.

We really love this place. We've taken both our dogs several times and they've always received excellent care and everyone on staff has always been exceptionally communicative and thorough. They treat the animals well and really seem to care. As an added bonus, the online scheduling option is a godsend. There have been times we've had to spend 30+ minutes on the phone to try and book appointments at other vets 6-8 weeks out, but with LQPH we can pretty much always find a time that works. We definitely recommend La Quinta Pet Hospital ????

Horrible supervisor. Very rude to everyone, including on the phone. Not sure what the goal is here, but they are making a lot of people unhappy. Truly disputable place. If you care about your pets do NOT bring them here.

I took my dogs to get the Canine Influenza on July 6,2021 and paid $90.00 for both not bad. Today July 27, 2021 I take them back to get their 2nd dose. I hand my credit card to the technician and now it’s 143.70. I came home a compared the invoices and once I called back they would just say it’s a technicians fee but couldn’t explain what was the service provided by the technician. Stay away from this pet hospital.

Dr.Allen and the staff at LQ pet hospital helped my beloved 12 year old doggy have a good last few months of his life. We noticed something was wrong with him when he developed a hacking cough. He was misdiagnosed at another vet with a heart murmur and we decided to take him here as it was easier to schedule. Dr.Allen did an X-ray on him and showed me that he actually had a collapsed trachea and that’s what was causing the breathing problems & cough. We thought we would have to put him down and Dr.Allen recommended that we try one last medicine for him and if it didn’t work, we had to do the right thing and end his suffering. Well, the medicine did help for a period of time however in the last few days we noticed his health declining and he was letting us know it was his time to go. We called them and they got us in a room where we said goodbye and cried our eyes out. Dr.Allen and The staff were empathetic and gave us our time to tell our boy how much we loved him. The process of him going was very quick and DR.Allen pet him while he gave him the shot. He also assured us that we did the right thing. We feel devastated but are happy to know he’s at peace. Thank you DR.Allen for helping Russell in the last few months of his life.

DO NOT take your animal here! They misdiagnosed my dog with diabetes and I was giving him insulin for almost 3 months. If it wasn't for an angel that called me from the facility to get a second opinion my dog would have died and I was told I haven't been the first. If you care for your animal do not bring them here.

This is the worst vet in the desert. I took my beagle in a few weeks ago for bowl problems. They gave me no help and all they wanted was the money. My beagle died a few days later and it was because of this vet. Dont take your pets to this guy he is the worst !!!

I can’t speak to others’ experiences here but after some less than stellar experiences at another local vet, this place really came through. I managed to set an appt online while I was out of town and have someone else bring my cat, all within the same day. They were attentive and helpful and the price was a relief compared to what I paid elsewhere for similar services. The experience really put me at ease. I would absolutely use them for any future vet needs I have. I’m happy to see a new place in the valley.

If I could give less stars I would. My son just had a terrible experience with this Vet. $1,600 to remove a cyst, a week later there is major swelling around the incision. My son called to bring his dog in to get looked at and when he gets there the Vet is gone and nobody can help them. The Vet is an hour and a half from where my son is stationed at 29 Palms. Absolute garbage care and customer service. -Update- An update on my Son’s dog. They took him to another vet who redid the original surgery and added a shunt so the wound would drain properly. Something the first vet failed to do in addition to not closing the original surgery correctly and not prescribing enough antibiotics.
