Reluctant to use a pet hospital inside Petsmart, DON'T BE! Banfield was the only place we could find prompt attention for our "Addie" when we rescued her during the pandemic. We've stayed with them ever since due to the precise explanations and loving care. From our chat with friends, the pricing is comparable to other area facilities.

Loved my experience, they are informative and take care of pets on a preventative and curative level.

Although they do mess up some appointments (like not record them BOTH if you make 2 distinct appointments during 1 call, it is a good enough place to take your pet.

I take my Dalmatians and my cataloua Honda here and have always been treated very well for all our canine needs.

I would follow Dr. Michelle Bousquet anywhere she goes. The staff is fabulous, Dakota. Jon, Crystal ( sorry I don't know all the names ). I have 1 senior girl who has to be given a mild tranquilizer before coming in or she will cause herself to have a seizure. They make sure she is treated with patience and love. My other grumpy old lady is lavished with love as well. Yesterday we had to let our old lady fly. Dr. Bousquet and staff were beyond loving and caring. They eased her transition so seamlessly and safe it made it less painful for us. We were able to continue holding her and kissing her nose and whispering our love even after she had passes. I can not even to begin to express my gratitude

I waited 3 months for a call back just to make an appointment. During covid I 100% understand there is a wait list. I waited 3 months and no one ever called me back. I called finally and made an appointment and talked to a manager so she made an appointment for less than a week out at that point. I got a call this morning rescheduling it yet again. I understand emergencies come up but I've had nothing but bad luck with this specific office. Now I have to wait for an appointment at vca and my dogs fur is starting to Mat now because she needs her rabies vaccination and she has been waiting multiple months ????

Andrew provided 5-star service. I was in a bind with getting my dog’s prescription food fulfilled, since we are from LA traveling to the desert. My dog has severe allergies and can only eat specific prescription food. Andrew took ownership, followed up with a call, and was a great listener. A true representation of what superior customer service should be. Thanks, Andrew!

This location needs to learn customer service skills. People are coming here for service with their animals that are part of their family. You can't take time to answer questions and expect someone to feel comfortable to leave their pet with you for service. No thank you if you can't take a few minutes to speak with me I don't see you taking the time to give my pet the care she needs.

They do not answer their phones. You will go straight to voicemail and there's a 50/50 chance they'll call you back. This is nothing new and has been an issue since before the pandemic. Their hours of operation are extremely unreliable. I've called three different times over the past week during hours they list as being open, but I go straight to a voicemail that says "we're closed". When does this location actually work? This is the most unprofessionally managed Banfield ever.

Have been with Banfield for many, many years ...today is June 9th and their next available for my dog is SEPTEMBER ... what the heck, she could die from this foot infection before that...thanks for nothing. Oh, and that was after 20 minute wait on the phone.

This was the 2nd time I brought my pups here to get groom . Both times the young lady Theresa was my pups groomer. I had remembered her because of how nice she was the 1st time. Everyone is nice at pet smart . But Theresa stood out she is my babies groomer . I've watched her trim other pets she gentle with them. .

I would HIGHLY recommend finding a different place to take your pet for regular check-ups than here. Nothing against the employees, they're all wonderfully nice and truly do care about your pet. However, as for the payment, it feels like a scam. We recently had our 2 dogs pass away, within months of each other. We had both of them on the annual Wellness plan. As far as we understood, it was about $57 monthly and auto-renewed annually. When the first dog died, we called to cancel and were transferred over to the Wellness plan line. Even without a dog to take, we still had to pay the next 3 months of the plan before being able to cancel. Our 2nd dog passed this week and they said we cannot cancel the plan for 3 months and it ends in September. It's a strange way that they calculate it, apparently they compare the price you've already paid for the year versus what you WOULD pay, and figure out from there if they will let you end your payment. Our dogs never were scheduled that often for their check-ups either, maybe 3 or 4 times a year they had a regular check-up and they RARELY - almost never - had any issues that required appointments outside of that. So that's why I suggest you find somewhere else to go if you want a regular, personal vet for your dog. If your pet were to pass away, you still need to pay for the plan regardless of if you have a pet to take or not. We were NEVER informed about it when we signed them up. Our third dog will not be going here, EVER. We will find a new vet for her. If you have the money to spend, then by all means go ahead and go here. However, if you're tight on money or simply find it outrageous that you have to keep paying for a plan YOU CAN'T USE and barely used to begin with, then please find somewhere else for your pet.

Where to begin... Our initial appointment was set for a month ago! Recieved a call the night before that the appointment would be involuntarily moved back an entire month. Fast forward to today, get to the 9am appointment just for an annual exam and 3 vaccines. Nothing major or time consuming and are told that we could pick up our dog between 12 and 3pm today because the doctor was taking priority patients such as spays, surgeries (higher dollar services from my understanding) before our boy could be seen for all of 10 minutes. We have been with Banfield since we got our puppy, he has had every service with Banfield apart from when they could not see him. This is unreliable and unacceptable business behavior and we will be going anywhere else from here forward as we drive nearly 2 hours to see you guys. I shouldn't have to become upset to have our appointment finally honored.

The worse of the worse I used to take my cat to Benfield Hospital located inside Petsmart Palm Springs but, the company decided to close down this facility due to poor performance Somehow the company decided that all clients will follow them to Palm Desert 10 miles away from the original location. These thieves, knowingly continue to charge all clients without asking if we were ok with the new location. I tried to cancel my membership the moment I knew about moving to Palm Desert. These people are so money hungry that even during the beginning of the pandemic when they were not open they still charge for services they weren't providing. Be careful with them, if you are planning to leave or cancel your membership. You can only cancel thru the none existing customer service line. The wait could be longer than an hour. I will not recommend these thieves not even to my enemy. They use all kinds of nasty collection efforts to collect money they are fully aware the customer doesn't owe.

I’m very happy to provide five stars for this Banfield location. My puppy had to get a dental cleaning and this place is the best place for it. All staff members from the front desk to back of the house kept me informed at all times regarding Miranda’s status. Dr Hall ,Konrad John, and especially Maria we’re just fabulous. Thank you all for all the great work you do for our pups.

I'm not sure how I feel about this Banfield. The staff is friendly but sometimes when we take our dogs here they don't take care of all the services we requested be done, like nail clipping.

Great service and good food. I especially enjoy their happy hour. Everything I've ever ordered has not disappointed. They added a great patio so they are following CDC guidelines.

After the pandemic started, they closed the hospital in Palm Springs. That's when all the problems started. That closure left one hospital to cover the entire Coachella valley. Of course, with the closure, they obviously fired the staff. I had started a "Wellness Plan" with my dog just prior to the closure. This meant I had to use the only remaining facility which was a longer drive for me because I was stuck in a year long Wellness agreement. I believe the closure of the facility was a breach of contract on their part, but they refused to cancel my "Wellness Plan" contract. So, I had to pay $37.95 monthly for an entire year to complete my "Wellness Plan". It took around 2 months lead time to schedule an appointment to be seen now that they only had one facility to cover the entire Coachella Valley. This of course meant I was not receiving the level of care my dog needed to ensure his health. My dog had one emergency in August 2020 that needed his immediate care, but they refused to even see him and referred me to the only emergency clinic in the valley which was a very long drive from my home. That emergency visit cost me over $1300. I agree with some of the other google reviewers that Banfield used the "Wellness Plan" visits to try to upsell treatments that are not covered under the "Plan". I definitely would not recommend Banfield to anyone, and I will continue to tell my story to other pet caretakers about the horrible problems I experienced at Banfield. Don't trust them. And definitely, DO NOT buy their "Wellness Plan" if for some reason you decide to take your pet to their facility.

The place has a great variety in products and service. It's not crowded and the parking lot isn't crowded. Workers are ready for helping pets out and they have great service.
