I’ve called at least twice during the last two weeks with the phone being answered by Brandi. The first week she told me no openings for this week but openings for next week. Today she said no openings, vet is here 10am-4pm, feel free to call another clinic. Are you freaking kidding me? This is not how you keep clients! Our dog is 8 the previous one was 14 when we had to have them put him down. I wish the Vet read reviews because we will find another clinic just as the so helpful Brandi suggested, won’t have to tell me twice.

We first went to Orangevale Vet last year to do the BAER hearing test on our Dalmatian puppies. They had told us all 13 of our puppies had perfect bilateral hearing. That was not the case! One of the female Dalmatians ended up being completely deaf and we found that out after the family took her to UC Davis to retest her because they thought she was deaf, and they were right she was completely deaf! Now fast forward to this new litter, we decided to go there again, and once again they messed up on our results, and after I called to tell them the issue, Sandy the manager tells me that I should have brought the puppies in at 8 weeks to test instead of 6 weeks old.I told her that they should have said that when we made there appt.We come from 3 hrs away!!She didn't want to admit they had made mistakes and did not want to refund me the money for our BAER hearing test. She said hearing can change , which I have never heard of that before. How can they deem a puppy completely deaf,or full hearing when there not, then turn around and blame us for taking the puppies in at 6 weeks old.I do not recommend this place at all!! They give you false results, and this has not only happened to me there but also other breeders I know!!

I have tried to establish my pets with this clinic, every time I called the clinic , Brandy tells me basically to call another clinic. I feel as though she does not want my dogs or us to be patients there. She is very rude and condescending . If I were the vet there and maybe she does know , but if I found out that every time one of my patients called to schedule an appointment the first thing out of Brandy’s mouth is we can’t get you in today you can call another clinic she doesn’t even offer up an appointment it’s just simply we can’t get you in today but you can call another clinic. I would fire her . Three times now I tried to MAKE an appointment with that clinic for my animals three times now I’ve been told to call another clinic by Brandy. Well guess what we will and we will never come back to Orangevale veterinarian clinic again. I guess maybe your doctor has enough patients that one gone isn’t going to hurt her but I have a huge mouth and I will make sure to tell everybody in my 3 corgi groups not to use you thanks BRANDY hope you’re happy For running off yet another patient maybe you should read the reviews about your employees doctor, it appears I’m not the only one who Brandy has run off !!

So many red flags! I never got to meet the vet for my dogs first appointment, because there were so many red flags within the first impression with the staff that eventually led me feeling disrespected and walking out. Red flag #1: When I called to schedule an appointment, staff seemed inflexible and harsh with scheduling, and mentioned to call when I arrived for my appointment. They never mentioned that I wouldn’t be able to go inside with my dog to the appointment. Red flag #2: There was no call to confirm the appointment the day before. Red flag #3: the parking spaces weren’t very clearly marked, so I parked along the side of a fence and called the office to tell them I arrived. They asked what parking spot # I was in, and I said that I didn’t see any, but will move into a spot. The receptionist condescendingly and unnecessarily over-explained that the parking spots are clearly marked.. yeah sure they are... Red flag #4: A staff member comes out to hand me paperwork, then explains that she will take my dog back while I wait outside. I’m hesitant about this, given that my first impression so far was bad, how do I know they’ll even treat my dog for anything if I don’t witness it happening? They could easily charge me without even providing the service. Red flag #5: I didn’t feel good about it but agreed to have them take my dog back. And then I watch as the staff member holds my dog’s leash in a very careless and insecure way. I have a greyhound-like breed, who is a flight risk and anyone who has any knowledge on these breeds knows there’s a proper way to hold a leash so that the dog can’t escape your grip and book it for an impromptu greyhound race into oncoming traffic. Red flag #6: A couple minutes later my gut tells me that I should just go through another vet, as I really wasn’t trusting this vet office at this point. So I walk in and politely ask to get my dog back, and even apologized and explained that I am just not comfortable with their system. A receptionist RAISED HER VOICE at me and said “What dog?!” which was also really concerning to hear that they didn’t know where my dog was, besides the fact that they also just yelled at me. I explained it was my dog Farah, their 10 am appt, and the clueless receptionist yells out to the rest of the staff, “where is SARAH?!”… Red flag #7: My dog is brought back up to me, and I apologize again to the staff, with absolutely no acknowledgement to my apology. Red flag #8: not a single staff member wore a mask, despite these strange covid procedures.

Nice local vet that has been here for years. Great prices.

I took both dogs in for teeth cleaning and they came back with sparkling clean Teeth. The staff were very professional. The prices are reasonable. Even though this clinic is outside of the bay area, I plan to have them as my primary veterinarian.

Great people, great care, and great prices. They need some shade for cars since we can't go in. Sitting in the sun with or without pets is unhealthy.

It was like a drive thru experience where I sat in my car and they came out with paperwork, then took my cat in for an exam. Covid procedures. All in all it was a fine first visit.

I trust them with my best friends. Solid veterinary care done with common sense and not aimed at breaking the bank. This place was highly recommended to me by a dog savvy friend years ago and we've been going here ever since. I have an epi pup and wouldn't trust anyone else with his routine care.

I love this place, reasonable rates for care and a staff that truly love all the animals that come through the door. I take my doberman there to get her nail trims instead of petco or petsmart cause I can trust they will do an excellent job and not be fearful just cause of the breed and muzzle her. (Shes a sweet but intimidating looking girl) Reaper loves this place and so do I. And they are great about reminders for vacations. Thank you orangevale vet!

Very unprofessional staff. I schedule an appointment for my litter first vaccination, waited 2 weeks. Time was essential for the puppies because they were due for this one. When I came for my appointment on time when they told me, they tell me that I don't have an appointment. They blame me all together. These people are liars and they never accommodate you even they were wrong. Poor quality place with rude people.

Dr. Tavano is the world's best vet. She is patience, kind and extremely skilled. Michael the vet tech is awesome. He is skilled and kind and knows how to relate well to dogs. We are grateful our dog is in their care.

Orangvale Veterinary hospital is my Vet for my German Shepherd Dogs. They specialize in reproduction and read x-rays very well. Well worth the extra drive to get it done right

Worst service I've ever had. I waited 30 minutes while I heard the vet discussing breeding issues so I left. They had the audacity to send me a bill for $60. Unbelievable I would never go there ever

5 stars is not enough! My pup was 30 minutes away from her euthanasia appointment when these folks stepped up and literally saved her life because they were willing to provide care at a reasonable cost when every other clinic in the county wanted several thousand dollars. I am forever grateful to them and especially to Vet Tech Hilary who is just the kindest and most compassionate and empathetic lady I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Today our little May pup is enjoying life and her family thanks to these wonderful professionals. Thank you!
