Dr. Jyl and her staff are without a doubt the absolute BEST veterinary team I’ve ever come across. Dr. Jyl takes veterinary care to a whole new level, rising far above the the norm. We are so grateful for her and her team. If you want your fur baby to have the best chance at a long and healthy life then I suggest you bring them to Dr. Jyl. Update: Dr. Jyl is expensive! If you’re looking for vet care on a budget look elsewhere. Otherwise, I highly suggest this clinic.

This is the best vet we've ever taken our dog to see. Our dog is getting older and struggling with osteoarthritis. The other vets we've taken her to have offered little in the way of care and treatment. However, Dr. Jill has offered a variety of options to help get her mobile and pain free again. She and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely care about their patients. We're so happy we've found a place that we can trust and, our dog leaves happier and more comfortable after each appointment.

Dr Rubin uses western and Eastern medicine to treat animals. She also does other approaches -- acupuncture, chiropractic, and other methods. My pets both have back problems and love the treatment to feel better.

Scheduled an interview with me and was not prepared All the way and left me OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN AFTER I DROVE THERE FOR 30MINS AND WAS ON TIME. I understand trying to be safe during the pandemic and seeing at that time it was THE BEGINNING of the pandemic but I came in INTERVIEW CLOTHES and I’m not about to get sick waiting on someone who possibly may not even hire me. If I didn’t have symptoms and had a mask I should of been let in to do my interview especially seeing how the weather was. Unacceptable and unprofessional didn’t even dare to call or check OR APOLOGIZE OR RESCHEDULE.

The one star is for some of Dr.Jyl’s staff. Dr.Jyl has a false reputation as being a caring vet. That might be, but it’s all about money. She over charges and sneaks things on your bill such as a nail trim for $26.00 that I did not ask for. On my dogs last visit I told the intake tech that I did NOT want my dogs nails cut. They did it anyway and charged me. This is the only vet I know of that charges $8.00 for a written prescription. If you have more than 1 script, well you are charged another $8.00. I’ve never written a review. Good or bad. But don’t be fooled by Dr. Jyl... She’s a Dr. Jekyll & Hyde ...

They were able to get my sweet Ruger boy in fast and tooo very good care of him. I was so nervous having to let him go in without me as this is the rules during the pandemic. All of the nurses were so kind and kept me in the loop as I waited in my Vehicle. Dr. Jyl called me and we talked for a good 20 mins. She let me know what all she was putting on the write up and what she felt was necessary at this time. We also talked about switching his diet. I felt like she really cared about my boy. We have found our vet for sure!

Our first visit was a very positive visit. Dr Jyl takes her time to cover your pets history & a complete physical. This way she can suggest how to best treat your fur baby. I love the way she uses more natural ways to treat your precious animal other than all pharmaceuticals which have all types of side effects.

Dr jyl is wonderful. She knows what she's doing and is extremely compassionate with the animals. My daughter loves to come with to drop her fur brother or sister off BECAUSE dr jyl has rescued some pretty amazing creatures that live at the office.

I brought my sick rat to them and am very glad to have been able to. After spending over an hour and a half calling every exotic vet around, they were the first to say "that sounds bad, come on in right now". Even with covid-19 restrictions they were quick to take my pet inside to evaluate him. No one else could see him for almost a week, within which time he would surely have been dead. My deepest gratitude to them for being willing and able right away. Note: I was asked to prepay a deposit of $125 but didn't mind as it was put toward my final bill.

THE BEST VET and staff! Every single decision she makes in the interest of my animals. Nothing is automatic even vaccines. She will test your pet for rabies antibodies so if they still have immunity since the last booster, you can be exempt. We switched after my kitty got cancer and I felt she needed all the help she could get. They offer acupuncture, laser therapy, Reiki and other more alternative therapies. I drive 1.5 hours round trip to see her even though a few of my animals totally hate the car. But I get them acupuncture every visit and the ride home is very chill. My pets are sleek, vibrant, lively animals again under her guidance and we are just so grateful. Especially our old-timers!! They deserve to be pain free, comfortable and as healthy as possible.

Dr. Jyl was very thorough. It was $150 for my dogs first exam which was comprehensive and 2 hours of time well spent. She went over every question I've always had but vets could not answer in regards to my dog's epilepsy. She also found issues in my dogs records that the last veterinarian never told me about: like an enlarged heart on an ex ray and pneumonia. Explains the heart murmur he had the last time I had taken him there. Now that he's been treated appropriately, my little Chugbug has his energy and vitality back and we have a vet who is passionate and knowledgeable in her expertise who takes her time going over all the details or ins and outs.

Well, sometimes in life you run into someone who you had heard nothing but glowing reviews for, but in the end turns out to be a total quack. Dr. Jyl was one of those people, and after 4 months and $5,000 of vet bills and no cure, I'd had enough of the incompetence. One Google review from a man named George Bingen claims the $1,500 he wasted in her vet office probably paid for her airfare to New Zealand, well Mr. Bingen don't feel too bad, my $5,000 probably paid for her whole vacation! After initially bringing my 5 and a half year old dog in, she concluded that he needed to be on antibiotics for a yeast infection and that he should be back to normal in 6-8 weeks, fast forward 4 MONTHS and he was still in a cone, with a yeast infection, and a mess. Over-prescribing of antibiotics is very dangerous for a multitude of reasons, this goes for humans as well of course. I wanted to pursue some different course of treatment for the at the time mild yeast infection he still had, but I was forced to accept her oral antibiotic treatment for him. I figured she was the veterinarian and not me, so I relented. After about 4 months with Dr. Jyl's vet services I calculated how long my dog had been on antibiotics for, and the answer was about 2 1/2 months out of the past 4 months! This was clearly overkill and over-prescription of antibiotics, and it undoubtedly weakened his immune system. When confronted with just the possibility that she had over-prescribed antibiotics she becomes very angry and defensive, she never comments about that possibility, instead she blames almost any and every other conceivable possibility, no matter how far fetched, giving rambling and often self-contradicting explanations of why my dog hasn't gotten cured for his simple yeast infection. You'll notice the blame never shifts to herself or any possible mistakes she may have made, it's always on other people or things. Her attitude is very defensive and disturbing, so much so that my wife was shocked at her defensive remarks and attitude when she met her for the first time after 4 months of treatment, (and keep in mind we still had a sick dog in a cone). Remember, this all started for a yeast infection, not stage 4 cancer, this really isn't that unusual for dogs. After months of failed "treatments" with Dr. Jyl, I went searching for a new vet and found one. On the first examination visit with the new vet they told me that my dog had been prescribed almost 3 TIMES the amount of ketoconazole antibiotic medication that he should have been for his weight (she prescribed 800mg a day when the new vet said he should have been on 300mg). Small wonder that he had bloody stool and was vomiting constantly! And yes, those are the exact symptoms of ketoconazole overdose, and yes, the symptoms disappeared as soon as he ceased taking the medication. After a pancreatitis and intestinal parasite test both came back clean, there was no doubt my poor dog suffered due to Dr. Jyl's negligence. Of course Dr. Jyl got extremely defensive (as usual) and insisted she had made no mistakes on her prescriptions or dosages, I guess that's what I would say too if I were in fear of being called out for malpractice by a client. And in the midst of all this office employees STILL try to upsell you on all sorts of what I would describe as "gimmick" remedies and treatments for the dog, which had NOTHING to do with his yeast infection, it really got old. It took LESS THAN 2 WEEKS for my new Vet to fully cure my dog and he was out of his cone and happy again! There’s your proof Dr. Jyl is a quack. I know that she will likely respond to this review with an explanation of why my dog stayed sick under her care and how it's not her fault and that her treatments were all correct and she did not over-prescribe antibiotics. Do not fall for it! Please, take your pets elsewhere, they (and your wallet) will thank you for it.

Wow, not only does the Dr try to upsell everything she charges a lot more for a chiropractic adjustment than a regular chiropractor. She also charges for, get this a reduced office visit charge. Isn't the adjustment an office visit? I know when I go to my chiropractor, my adjustment is my office visit and he doesn't charge me more. It makes my stomach sick to think people actually pull on heart strings and take advantage of people when their loved ones are in pain.

These people couldn’t even give a euthanasia quote over the phone. The woman I spoke to suggested that I come and pay them $160 bucks and then they could quote me. If they do that in this instance, I can only imagine the kind of gouging that goes on here.

Charged me $200 to transfer medical records before even making the appointment! Acupuncture treatments were ineffective and very expensive! I wasted over $1500 there and only accomplished paying her airfare to New Zealand! Stay away!

Overpriced and believes in holistic healing, our first office visit with Jyl took 2 1/2 hours, she talked slot but the actual surgery, done elsewhere, cost less than her patting herself on the back.

Caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. She has taken care of my beloved Bernese Mountain Dog since he was 2 months old. When he was 2 he was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma....cancer. She not only excised every bit she could at the time , she went above and beyond and cleaned and scrubbed the wound area EVERY day for 2 months as part of his care. Her love for animals is obvious. I find the review about her striking a dog as laughable. She would hit a person long before she would hit a dog ....If you take good care of your pets, feed them a proper diet and have routine check ups rather than just emergency treatment your expenses would be reasonable. I could probably get pet car less expensively, but why take the chance? Bernie loves Dr. Jyl

HORRIBLE VET CARE!!!!!!!! The "Dr" HIT my dog multiple times to correct him in front of other dogs. He was well known to not have other dogs in the area and when she brought HER dog around and he lunged she "corrected" him by hitting him multiple times on video. This is not a real Dr. do NOT take your pets to this location. This "Dr." is going to be sued and I would not advise ANY animal lovers to take to their pets their for medical needs. I am appealed at her reasoning for doing what she did.... you never touch an animal especially where you are given clear guidance.

After a visit with another vet I didn't think was very thorough, I took my rat to Dr. Jyl for her mammary tumor and URI. She not only determined that it probably wasn't a URI (after actually checking my girl out) but spent over an hour with me narrowing down what might be causing the sniffles and what to do about them. Plus, she had great advice about whether or not the tumor should be removed (and how to keep my rat comfortable) while the last vet simply said there was one and offered a quote for removal. Her examination fee was less expensive as well! Yes, the office smells -- like animals, because there are some. I recommended her to my mom and would to anyone else.
