Dustie here. My brother Barley passed away two weeks ago. My Ma helped Sherri and Rex find a new Labrador puppy. We found one in San Diego. His name is Baxter. He is 10 weeks of fun. He had his first check up with Dr. Bailey. He is 26 pounds. Going to be a big guy. Everyone loved him there and he got the best check up ever. My Ma has gone there with our past Labradors. Dr. Bailey and Dr. Bogart are the best Vet's ever.

My animals have been treated at Dr. Bailey's Matilija Vet Clinic for many. many years. Doctor Bailey is a wonderful and compassionate vet. He has always been responsive, caring and professional. He really cares about your pet. Dr. Linda Bogart has also been wonderful and provided great care. She always calls personally with an update. All the staff are very nice. Can't recommend this clinic enough. They are very busy and this is probably why!! Many thanks

We got an appointment with in a week. Comprehensive, gentle care for an old “Toto” dog; needing postponed care. All questions were answered.

Being new in town, when my pup Sam had an open wound on his back, I needed a Vet quick. Did a little online check and decided on a local Vet with great ratings. Hours of operation showed they opened at 8am. I called several times until 8:45am with no answer. I finally decided to speak to the call service who then informed me that the office was not scheduled to open until 9am that morning. They took my number and said someone would be calling me back. When 10am rolled around and still no call, although a bit apprehensive, I called back only to be told that all of their Vets were at a conference and they could not see Sam. They did refer me to another Vet that was Matillija Veterinary Hospital and I'm so happy they did. Not only did they chose to keep a Vet working while others went to the conference, they scheduled Sam immediately. Dr.Matt was very pleasant and patient with us and all of our questions and concerns were answered. He explained everything to us with possible options and never tried to sale us any unnecessary procedures or products! Sam had a superficial wound from scratching his sensitive skin due to allergies and the medication I was already using was enough. So with that, a quick nail trim, the bill was by far the cheapest Vet visit I've ever had and Sam was a happy boy....so were we! Very happy the other Vets were at a conference and we ended up at Matillija Veterinary Hospital....I highly recommend them for sure.

The vet was extremely helpful and went the extra mile for us! Would definitely recommend.

The staff are very friendly and will do whatever they have too for your companion health. They will work with any type of animal from cats, dogs, even pigs and horses.

When it was time for my baby to cross the rainbow bridge Dr. Bailey and his staff made it comfortable for us, even during Covid. If Molly could give you all kisses for what you have done for her she would!

This place DOES NOT CARE about lost or stolen pets... If you are not a client then you are no one...my family member's dog is missing and they said if you're not a client then we dont help.. dog was not chipped and all they did was check and then tell the person to go deal with it by taking it to a shelter, took no info. Didn't make sure that the pet wasn't stolen or hurt.Ventura county animal services will come pick up pets that are lost, but these ppl couldn't be bothered to make sure a lost and scared pet would be reunited with its owner... they claim they have no space to 'store' animals but are a clinic to care for animals? that's nonsense.. since you can call someone to come pick it up day of... but you dont have room for a few dogs that'll leave that day? RIGHT. I wish zero stars was possible.

Dr.Tolmie is incredible. She is knowledgable, compassionate, and always available to help. You can tell she really cares about the pet and their owner in such a sincere way. The staff was also awesome at Mailija Veterinary Hospital. We feel very blessed to have such a great vet in town! Thank you Dr. Tolmie, we so appreciate you.

My cat and I love Dr. Bogart, and look forward (don't you, Sophie?) to our visits. Dr. Bogart's knowledge, the capable and reassuring way she handles Sophie, the follow-up phone calls when needed - all add up to a client who believes she's in the best possible hands. Fourteen years and counting...

We always take our pets, large and small, to Matilija Veterinary Hospital. The veterinarians are so kind and knowledgable.

I wouldn't go anywhere else. They take great care in all my needs with my two best friends. I drive 20 minutes just to have the best care in Ventura County. If it took an hour, I would still bring Sasha and Jazz there.

The veterinarians and staff have been very helpful with our dogs' health needs.

Dr. Bailey is so attuned to animals, a gifted dog whisperer, as they say. He is so gentle that even my unusually skittish chihuahua let him stroke and hold her on first sight - which is impossible for anyone but me. My German Shepherd seemed to understand Dr. Bailey would help him and submitted without question. A great veterinarian.
