I took my kitten ???? in to get her spayed. The staff and the vet were very nice and helpful. The doctor explained everything and what it meant and why. I will bring my pets back. My kitten was taken care of and the surgery went great! They gave her a shot that lasts 3days for pain, very thankful for that.

I had a really awful experience with them this week -- no animals are harmed in this story. The rescue I foster for was doing a trial run to for spay/neuter surgeries since we have so many kittens right now. Myself, 2 other fosters, and Tami, who arranges the appointments, met over there at 9:15am. Usually, you can have one person do the transport for everyone, but they wanted all fosters to be present. Ok, it's our first time with them. Some of the intake questions they asked were a bit strange. "Where did the cats come from?" Then they asked where they were GOING and how soon they would be up for adoption. Huh? After taking them inside, a vet tech brought out a carrier and put it outside the door and said it needed to be cleaned before pickup. From then on the office manager kept coming out. She was hostile & condescending from moment one. She even remarked on how it was odd to see a group, that she was used to "interviewing" families one at a time. Tami reminded her that they had asked for all of the fosters to be there. She came out again to ask about ringworm. I mentioned that yes, my boys had had ringworm and they had been treated and had been clear of it for almost an entire month. Her: "what do you mean clear?" Me: "of the ringworm. They don't have it." Her: "well how do you know?" Me: "They don't have any lesions and they don't glow under the black light." She wasn't really waiting for me to answer before she asked her next question. Everything was overlapping and she had no patience or interest in what I was saying. Next time she comes out, she flat out TOSSES another foster's carrier down outside the door and said "clean that up before you come back. It's disgusting. It smells like old pee." No, I'm not kidding. She continues the ringworm interrogation, asking us multiple times how much contact our cats have had with each other. (Answer: None, but she won't accept it). It all just keeps spiralling downhill, but she's stringing us along. Scolding us while at the same time saying that they are still going to do the surgeries. And we are keeping it together because, to US, it's about the kittens. Shouldn't that be what it's about to a vet's office, too? I don't suppose I'll ever know why, but apparently her goal was to humiliate us. She told me my boys were "covered" in glow and it must be an environmental contaminant! She kept offering me handouts on how to sanitize my kitty area. A couple of us mentioned using Lotrimin powder and that glows. Ms. OM insisted that wasn't true. (Try it yourself & then tell me why this woman was lying to us.) By this point we e just wanted to get our cats back and get out of there -- because OF COURSE after keeping us there for over an hour they declined to do the surgeries. We all left mad, shaking, more than one of us nearly in tears. I have never been treated like that before, and certainly not at a vet's office. By the way? When we all got to our (separate) homes, we got out our blacklights again. Not a single glow. None. She wasn't just mistaken, or uneducated, or stubborn -- she was lying. If you go there, ask her why.

I have outdoor cats and not a lot of money. Every issue no matter how small they cannot help without a full work up and appointment. They can't let me know what other good solutions there are unless I'm buying their services. Their appointments are expensive and there is no way to get any help from them without paying $60+. I recommend not going here from my experience they are way more interested in money than helping pets unfortunately. Edit to include response: You already prescribed the medication in the past you said he needed to be weighed when I called today and when I said I couldn't come in you said you could take a fecal sample instead. If you could take the sample instead of weighing and still prescribed it then how is the weighing required? Last time I got the same medication I came in but never gave the fecal sample and was prescripted the medication. It's reworming solution. I'm trying to get a quality version for the health of my pet. But I will go to petco and get what I can for 1/5th of what you're charging to weigh my cat. Go to central blvd vet in Brentwood instead they helped for less.

They made one of the saddest days as easy on my family as they could. They even mailed us a beautiful card with paw prints from our Bella. Great staff and knowledgeable Veterinarians!

They said they would have our dog awake and ready at 4:45 after his surgey. They also said they would call us at 3:00 to let us know how everything went. We had to call them to see how he was and what time to come get him. We got there and they made it seem like they forgot to wake him up. We drove home with a huge Malinois that was too groggy to get out of the car and that we couldn't lift. On top of all of that they didn't bother to clean the blood off of him.The vet was rude on the phone about how rambunctious he was about meeting new people, he happens to love new people so he gets really excited. If we knew how they were going to be we wouldn't have brought our sweet boy there.

Crooks they tell you one price over the phone then after the procedure it's a totally different more expensive price. Had my cat spade there. Had to go back a month and a half later from complications from the spade. Which they charged me even more money for fixing. Completely un professional and doesnt work with you on payment. Will never take my animals there ever again and strongly suggest you dont as well.

My dog was bleeding from his mouth and called this vet. They quoted 45 exam fee.. then added a blood test which I Approved. Then a 3rd phone call saying it would cost 500- 1000 depending on how many teeth they need to extract. They refused the full exam and recommended pain meds and antibiotics for 2 weeks. My dog continued to bleed on Sunday and had to take him to another vet since they weren’t open. The 2nd vet looked at the paperwork and explained I was billed for additional tests that was not needed for the condition my dog was experiencing. A fecal exam and heartworm/tic. They suggested calling them to question the additional charges . I called to inq and was told the doc would call me back to explain but never did. They get over on customers and do tests to up the fee. Exploring legal actions and BBB. Please stay away from vets that take advantage of people, unprofessional and deceptive practice.

I used this vet when I realized it was the cheapest in our area. We ended up having to put our cat down after a month and a half of her being ill but they were patient with us, our needs, and our financial situation. The main vet lady came off pretty strong and had poor bedside manner but she did her job and that's what we gave her money for.

Dr. Lori was so nice & knew what she was doing. Our Dottie a 6 year old whippet mix went to see her because she hurt her back leg playing. Dr. Lori office staff were very nice & caring as well. She is right before you go over the bridge going into Bethal Island in Oakley.

I love this place, staff is great and they know you by your name when you walk in the doors. Good reasonable price for boarding. Most importantly my fur babies start wagging their tails as soon as we pull in the parking lot.

Dr. Lorie is the best! She called us one day 13 1/2 years ago to tell us about a very special puppy who was found in the street and dropped off in her care. We were rescued by this precious Aussie-Sherpherd/Duck toller mix puppy, Sienna, who has cared for us and stolen our hearts. An amazing matchmaker, Bless you and Thank You, Dr. Jane. With love, Jan & Gene & Sienna
