I love Thornhill Pet Hospital! Dr. Yang is very nice and knows what he’s doing, great vet! He has helped my furry babies with a lot especially my senior dog when he got a herniated disc twice. My little guy is aggressive and Dr. Yang is kind and gentle towards my little monster. His wife, Alicia is super nice as well! The staff that I’ve met is very kind and professional as well. Overall I am very happy with them and have been going to Dr. Yang for almost a decade now. Highly recommended!

Dr. Yang and the team are quick to help and they really care about your pets. They have provided our cats with good care for a few years now and Dr. Yang always calls to follow up or answer questions. My husband and I rescued a litter of five sick kittens and they were able to fit us in so they had the care and meds they needed right away. Foster fail, we are keeping two of them:). We take our precious Shetland Sheepdog there, as we did her predecessor. There are quire literally no words we could say about Dr. Carlos Yang that more clearly demonstrates our faith in him and his practice.

Carlos and staff always go above and beyond the “standard.” Recently one of my cats had been attacked by a dog. Though she wasn’t physically harmed, she was so terrified that she wasn’t able to move. In the chaos I thought she’d run off, hiding. 8 hours later I heard a plaintive meow. I ran to the spot where she’d been attacked. She was in a spot where water collects in the basement. It was 4:56pm. I called and Alicia said to bring her. Alicia met us and took Lola in. At 10:00pm that Friday night, Dr Yang phoned us. Her body temperature was 84°. Normal would be 101°. They were able to raise her temperature to 85°. Dr Yang and team worked to save her for 5 hours. I believe that they were as upset as we were. I’m so grateful for all they do. The caring and the kindness that they so generously share with clients and patients is a gift.

We are 100% satisfied with the experience that we've received. Thornhill always goes above and beyond to address and care for the needs of my sick pets. We've been with them for many, many years and I must admit, I always left content, knowing my furbabies received the best care. And they always get better with Dr. Yang's precise diagnosis. I used to work as a vet tech many years ago, and as I lived in various cities, have had many different veterinarians. Of the half-dozen over the past several decades, Dr. Yang is my favorite, both because he has deep knowledge and continuing interest in veterinary medicine, and genuine compassion for animals.

The office staff is warm, welcoming, extremely patient and helpful! Dr. Yang is knowledgable and takes great care of my animals. I recommend them to anyone who will listen!

We've been going to Thornhill Pet for over ten years now. Even though we've moved away from Oakland, there's no way we'd entrust the care of our beloved pets to anyone other than Dr Yang - he is an amazing, hard-working, knowledgeable and caring vet. Can't imagine finding a better vet!

A wonderful staff of kind, caring people that have taken care of our cats for years and years. Dr. Yang is the best! During the pandemic, he has come to pick up each of our two cats while we waited, masked, in the car and has delivered each back to us with the results of their exams, maintaining social distancing and masking. We wouldn't dream of taking our boys anywhere else!

Dr. Yang & staff are AMAZING!!!! My dog Buster is going on 11 years of seeing Dr. Yang when I come for check ups or even if it is an emergency. Everyone is so friendly and understanding and has a way to keep you calm when you are really worried about what is happening with your pet. Dr. Yang is an excellent doctor he is great with communicating, gives great advice, and answers any question you have big or small. He goes above and beyond to check in on your pet weekdays or even on weekends to see how your pet is doing. He is a very compassionate he cares and that is the type of doctor I would want for anyone's fur babies. Thank you to all the staff during the Covid 19 making sure our pets are happy and healthy!

I have had a number of vets and emergency vets over the years and Dr. Yang and his staff have consistently provided solid service. At Thornhill Pet Hospital you don't get pushed into buying extra procedures or special foods and supplements. He reminds me of the country vet that I went to when I lived in Northern CA. They Let you know when something is outside of their scope (specialty surgery) but they are they general practitioners that can make the difference in the quality of life of your loved pets. Dr. Yang has helped lots of folks that rescue animals. Pre-COVID I would see them in the lobby with the animals. I am no different. I rescued one dog that needed aggressive skin cancer tumors removed and was underweight and ill from lack of food and horrible fleas. Dr, Yang removed several of the worst of the tumors getting clear margins and predicted that the dog would live just six months. 18 months later she needed more tumors removed and he said that it had to be her last surgery as she was old, frail and now how some scar tissue making surgery more difficult. Well, she is alive another 18 months later and frailer but happy and enjoying life. Go ahead and get an appointment with this vet for your pet and know that you are doing right by them.
