I have been going to this place for years. I feel like they take time to explain everything and I really appreciate that. My dog actually enjoys going to the vet thanks to their team!

All staff and the doctors are very nice Price is reasonable Beat of all my car likes them.

First time here. I have a dog I take to his vet in Alameda, but for my new (first) cat, I didn't want to have to go far. This spot is close. Parking does suck, but the staff are very kind and patient. That matters to me. They also care about cost, and won't try to dump excessive services that aren't needed. The waiting area was calm, which I love. Ever been to Claremont? Total zoo. So far so good, and we will be returning. Oh, it wasn't at all smelly, and the exam rooms were very clean. Only, minor, complaint is about availability of medicines. It's definitely a supply issue, not their fault, but still worth noting as it's not something I've encountered at my dog doc. If you know you have regular medications, do make sure that you are giving plenty of time for refills.

This clinic is amazing . The staff is very professional and Freya’s been going here since she was a pup. I wish we could continue to go there but unfortunately we moved. I highly recommend you try them out . !!

The best Vet Hospital ever! The staff is incredible and my first visit was a great experience. I took the time to read about the Dr’s background with animals, I was amazed and touched. I’ve looked into many Vets and glad I made my decision with Gentle care. ???? Love how everyone knows what they’re doing!!! Go here lol.

I took my dog to get checked for a cough and a lump. I was emotional due to past bad experiences at the vet when I had another dog. But I felt extremely comfortable here. Dr. Yoon is great, the vet techs and assistants were all really nice. I feel comfortable leaving my dog here. Thank you, Gentle Care!

For background context, I have fostered many cats and generally have gotten their care and checkups at local shelters and community places. Recently, I adopted a kitten and decided to try out this Veterinary hospital to get their first vaccinations/ general checkup, etc. When I was calling around to places to have these services done (explicitly asking for vaccine shots and check up cost), Gentle Care explained that this would be $50. That this price was generally in line with services I had paid for in the past, I felt this was good and set up the appointment. The following couple of weeks were... interesting to say the least. In total, I ended up paying about $800 to have the above services performed for me. At the end of my first visit and they handed me the bill, the total was about $370. When I asked why that was the case, it was explained to me that the $50 I was told about on the phone was simply the fee to set up the appointment and bring my cat in, not to perform any actual services. As we had only completed his first rounds of shots, I inquired as to what the price would be for the follow up and was told it was generally about $100-150 less than the first visit so to expect it to be a couple hundred dollars. And upon my next visit, I again paid about $350 for services again. There were other ways in which this hospital operates that I did not appreciate. I have worked in sales for many years and it appeared to me that from staff to owner, the focus of this hospital is first and foremost the upselling of services to customers. Common tactics like bundling, creating a sense of urgency/ immediacy, and heightening the sense of due care were used to stress my care of my kitten and hand over cash for services and products that in hindsight seem a bit excessive. Gentle Care asked me to subscribe my cat to a $20/ month application of Revolution, which would require me to bring my cat to them every month to perform this service and likely pay a servicing fee again. This follows after they found no need for it during both skin and fecal tests which I paid for in the aforementioned bills as well. Additionally, this environment made me incredibly stressed as a customer, putting the impression upon me that my cat was marred with illness and problems when they were simply a healthy, happy baby. There is much more I could say about Gentle Care. The staff was incredibly friendly and the service and facility is nice. When I compare my experience here to clinics I have been to prior, comparative to the 16x the price they originally quoted for services to be performed, did I receive 16x the quality of service? No; this place is pretty on par with other places I have gone. I was really disappointed in my experience here because of both the stress my visits here created in my personal life, as well as being felt as if I was taken advantage of as a customer due to a lack transparent pricing. And truly, it is not even the price that upsets me most- for everything that Gentle Care provided me, while $800 is steep it is not even that much of a premium. The biggest concern was that they were never able to be transparent and honest about what the cost would be until you have the bill in your hand. I would recommend to try another clinic/ hospital if you are trying to get your kitten best prepared for their life.

I will definitely give 10 stars if there is a 10 star option! :D I don't usually do reviews but Gentle Care has earned it. Before bringing my then 8 week old pup Levi home, I have researched in the area for a vet clinic and have chosen Gentle care for good reviews. Indeed the good reviews are all true. My pup got sick when he was 9 weeks old and brought him to emergency and then a follow up check up with Gentle Care, Dr Lim was so helpful and informative. He addressed and handled all my concerns regarding Levi and was so happy that our pup recovered fast and is very well and healthy now. The staffs are also very helpful and friendly. We got the Puppy Package for all of Levi's vaccines and satisfied with all the services. Gentle Care Veterinary Hospital is highly recommended! You'll have a peace of mind that your fur-babies are handled properly with a tender loving and gentle care! P.S. I took my cat for an emergency, and they were really accommodating. They gave me an appointment only a couple days after I called. The facilities are so spacious and clean, my cat was very tranquil all the time which is not a common thing. The vet was so understanding and explain everything very clear and patiently answered all my questions. Gentle Care is pricy but so worth it. From now on this is where I will be taking my fur babies. Thank you so much Gentle Care team for being so loving to animals and nice to their humans.

When my dog had ear infection and my regular vet was busy, they took my dog right away on weekend. The vet insisted removing two teeth and he said he could not clean the ears of my dog without under anesthesia. I told him those two teeth looked chipped but not bad. I do not want them to be removed. I told him my dog always had been cleaned the ears without whole body anesthesia! The next day I took my dog back to his regular vet, the vet confirmed it is totally no need to remove those two teeth. She was able to clean the ears of my dogs very well without anesthesia. She started my dog immunology and my dog is controlled his allergy well. He does not have ear infection since. My dog’s teeth are perfectly fine after years this vet insisted removing. His teeth do not have any issues. I am suspicious the vet at Gentle care likes to add unnecessary treatment and add charges up. Staffs are friendly. I was shocked to experience totally different from many 5 star reviews here.

I’m giving 3 stars due to wonderful prior experiences, I’ve used gentle care for both of my pups in the past , from puppy packages to neutering. This morning I had a appointment with my new puppy Nyla “she has also received her puppy package from Gentle Care”. This morning the energy was off, I went in to speak to the receptionist that step me to the side, she immediately showed me two pieces of paper, one was the procedures bill, and the other one was a form stating the if anything went wrong “neutering “ today I would have to pay $400-600 inorder for them to bring her back to life, this was extremely alarming, not only because of them asking me to pay in order for them to save her life but also because there was “decline” option as if , there was something that could be done to save her, they wouldn’t do it, because I didn’t pay! Also today I ask the receptionist regarding not shaving Nyla’s arm 360• for the iv, she told me “they didnt do grooming” smart answer but that was not what I was asking!!! There was an attitude from there on, to say the least I’m not sure if I’ll be visiting Gentle Care again, due to new “policies” and customer service and comfort.

Took my kitten here, our first time on Monday. The front desk receptionists are so friendly & answered all my questions. The facility is clean & decorated beautifully. Her Vet was professional, friendly & explained everything thoroughly. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Everyone who works at this clinic is extremely friendly, professional and care about your pets. Dr. Yoon is an amazing and compassionate Veterinarian. I highly recommend this clinic.

Love this place for my Fur baby!!! Best Vet in town!!

I called around to several veterinary hospitals in the area for my new pup and Gentle Care had the nicest staff!!! Phone presence and just simply being kind and accommodating goes such a long way. It also helped that Gentle Care had more availability closest to when I needed it too. The puppy package was a great deal to get my puppy vaccinated and when I went in, the staff was so nice and the vets were so experienced and professional. As a new pet owner, this was really reassuring. After our 2nd and 3rd rvisits , it was amazing to see the staff remember my puppy too and even referenced our last visit and how big my little guy got! I can tell they really love animals.

We just had our first visit and we were impressed with the facility, the staff, and veterinarians here. Everyone is super knowledgeable, patient and nice! The only thing I would say (this may be for new pet parents/owners), schedule any appointments you may have early in advance! Appointments do tend to fill up quickly! I’m so glad we found this place and it’s close to our home.

Super nice staff! Took my 8 week old kitten to Gentle Care Vet for her first ever vet appointment and they were very sweet and gentle with her. Things ran very smoothly and answered any questions I had.

I am so pleased with this Veterinary practice! They are caring and thorough, very professional! I have felt concern and compassion from them, as they have handled my pets with patience and gentleness. This level of high quality care is evidenced throughout the practice, from the front desk, to the technicians, to the veterinarians. I am so happy to have found them!

First impression as a new fur patient is 5 stars. Great customer service from speaking to them over the phone to scheduling into the office. Dr Yoon was also great. He has such a caring demeanor with my little fur baby that I knew she would be in good hands. Office was spacious, clean and kept everything and everyone covid safe. Worth the investment on quality pet health provider.

Overall, a wonderful first experience! The space itself is very clean and nice. Dr. Yoon is great! I took my kitty here for a possible ear infection and he handled her with great care and answered all my questions. Definitely will come back if I need a vet!

Thankful that we're able to go inside with our animals expecially when there ill. Alot of other vet's don't allow that. They're caring and take their job seriously. Best vet ever!

I took in a stray cat in yesterday for a laceration on his head and they were really helpful when it came with him and complimented that he is very friendly and I am very glad that I went over there and the people in the front the assistants and the doctor were the best I’m very thankful for them for what they did
