Refused to see my puppy, claimed they aren’t taking any new patients. I had to call around in a panic for my sick pet. What good is a vet you can’t go to? Imagine going to a hospital sick & they turned you away. Useless institution. I’d say don’t take your pet here, but they probably wouldn’t take you anyway.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Quick with refills on my pet's meds when needed without having to come in for a check up multiple times a year.

I have been taking my dogs and cats here since the 80's Both Dr Hart and Dr Dorsey are the two best vets ever. Really, I wish I could have a doctor like them

Went in for an ear check-up for my dog. Turned out to be an ear infection and payed under $100. Everyone was super nice and helpful, I got an appointment super quick as well (within a few days). I filled some paperwork, and took some vet history. They let me go in with my dog, and they were so patient with my nervous and frightened boy. Even received a follow up call a few days after my appointment. It seems like they truly care about your pet, highly recommend this vet!!!

I got my elder dog on 1/15/2021 and have taken my girl here since March, and their services are sound, compassionate and reasonably priced. My dog doesn't like a vet's office in general, but she loves this staff. They're great! I'm a recurring customer.

The "doctor" is in my opinion unqualified to be a "doctor" of any kind. Compassion and manners are something this woman simply does not posses, it is ALL ABOUT MONEY. I came to see the "doctor" in January because my dog had a simple bladder infecection. She tried to tell me after a very brief 5 minute visit at a cost of $300, that my dog had stones and needed surgery and wanted to schedule it right away. My dog had a bladder infection not a blockage and I asked for antibiotics first to see what the result was. They result was she was fine in a couple of days. She started to show signs of the infection returning and we are about to move across country and I wanted to reorder the antibiotic however this "doctor" refused to do so unless I came in for another expensive visit. Now that would be $600 for a bladder infection. I cannot afford it I am suffering during the pandemic and even going into the office for a visit is insane at this time unless it is an emergency... so Bravo "doctor" my dog suffers until I can find antibiotics elsewhere and you do not get another $300 for nothing. DOGS LIVES MATTER

Always professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. They are appointment only, so you will be referred to an emergency clinic if you have immediate pet problems. They also have a boarding service which is very convenient. I have a great experience every time I go.

Took my two puppies had to make two separate appointments in the same day, good thing prices of gas was down. For the next apt I was told they would call me and they did for the second apt. At that apt again I was not allowed to make a apt. they would call I waited over four weeks s no call, so I called and they said we must have gotten off the call back list, got an apt took puppies in they got their shots. The doctor said they would call me again and that she would assure that I’m back on the call back list. I asked the receptionist could I just make an apt because no one is calling and I really want them to get their last shots so I can start taking them for a walk no we will call you. Of course no call I called three week after last apt and when I tried to get an apt They only had apt for the end of the month. I stated that why I had not gotten a call back again and that person on the phone stated to me that they do not do call back she throw down the phone and some guy then gets on the phone and stated the same by this time I’m very irritated and was through. The practice is a whole in the wall with a different doctor each time. The care is ok nothing to write home about. I have friends that I referred to them but they will be leaving along with me. They fell to realize that money is green and it can be spent anywhere. If a office would lie about a simple thing as a call back I would not trust them about anything. They are probably the reason one of my puppies got really sick.

We have been with Oakland Veterinary Hospital for many years through a change in ownership. We have always gotten excellent care for our cats and the current vets Drs. Dorsey and Hart are expert, caring, and thorough.

Affordable and the vet is adequate. Not the most friendly, but the front desk staff is.

Consistent care. Never try to add on charges for unnecessary procedures or treatments like other vets ive tried. Prices are reasonable by comparison also. Friendly staff.

Absolutely a great place to bring your animals. Having been a previous client, I am able to bring my new dog Sebastian in with no hassles. Lucky to have them as my Vet. 5 stars without a doubt.

Old run down and not sanitary. Staff was okay but just doing what they need to get by. Vet was run of the mill at best. Avoid if possible.

Stopped with feral kittens - one in dire shape. They WOULD NOT LOOK AT IT. They referred me to the super expensive night time Vet hospitals. Instead I went to Woodminster Veterinary. The Vet tech looked at the emergency kitten and immediately took it to the back for cleanup and warmth while they agreed to work the rest into the schedule. Woodminster was supportive, informative and reasonable fees.

After over 2 years of my periodically calling this vet clinic to see if they were taking new patients and being told no, I considered myself lucky this morning when they called me back and said they were accepting new patients. I had chosen this vet because this is the closest vet to where I live and because, though I heard the doctor had a terrible bedside manner and was a bit prickly, I heard she was a decent vet. Well, forget all that. The receptionist told me she couldn't schedule me because I had an established vet. Yes, I have a 13-year old dog, of course I have a vet. But I am looking to change vets! It'd be nice to have one closer to where we live and one who can look into the health issues my little old dog is having that my current vet doesn't seem to be addressing. But no, because my dog currently has a vet (because we haven't found a new one yet), this vet will not see us. What sort of logic is that? She only takes pets who have never seen a vet before??? I'm beyond mystified. Exactly what sort of business practice is this? Beyond terrible! Stay away!
