These fine folks are miracle workers. So grateful to have found a place that not only treats my dogs disease but treats his soul.

Dr. Richter was very friendly, down-to-earth and kind, the sort of veterinarian anyone would wish for. He took his time with my boy, who is wary of strangers. The entire practice team is delightful, from the front desk staff to the technicians. The only caveat may be limited parking around the clinic. Highly recommend Dr. Richter and this practice.

My dog, Floyd, and I had a very positive experience with Dr. Richter. I appreciate how Dr. Richter is knowledgeable of both Eastern and Western medicine. In Floyd's case, I brought him in due to allergies / irritation in his front two paws. I like how we started out discussing his Western treatments to date, before exploring additional (possibly alternative) Eastern options to consider. I especially like how Dr. Richter is open to collaborating with Floyd's dermatologist to find the right balance to strike going forward -- ideally one that weens Floyd off of cyclosporine, which he currently takes twice a day to keep his allergies under control. Net-net: Dr. Richter was great! I will definitely continue bringing Floyd to him going forward.

Jessie is spectacular with our sweet, quirky pup. “Do you wanna go to PT?” now gets our pup as excited as “do you want a cookie?” or “do you want to go for a hike?” We couldn’t be happier with the support our pup gets during her visits and with the overall treatment of her arthritis. Billie also came here a few years ago after her TPLO surgery and she had such an amazing recovery with the help of the Holistic Vet team. It was a no brainer to come back now that Billie is a senior and had new needs come up.

I took my almost 9 year old chihuahua here for her first teeth cleaning because I didn't want to put her under Anaesthesia because she has a heart murmur. They told me they were going to take a few minutes to let my dog get to know them before they started so she would feel more comfortable. Also they said they were not as aggressive with this cleaning since it was her first time and they didn't want to Traumatise her for future visits. But still her teeth turned out beautifully and I am so grateful I found this place. I will definitely be coming back in 6 months for another cleaning. ????

It's great I'm from San Leandro I take My 3 yr old rottweiler he tore his ACL needed a TPLO procedure that's 12 wk recovery time so they have submerged treadmill & pool which is great for building his muscles that got weakened by being lame for 6mo the surgery is expensive they RELLY CARE bout your pet my boy hasn't smiled like this in long time HAPPY boy now

You guys are amazing! Thank you all the staff for being so patient with my very anxious and fearful dog Bella! I am sure that Bella is going to grow to become less and less fearful with her vet visits as she continues working with you guys :) Thank you Doctor Kirton for being sooooo patient with my dog and being so flexible to meet her in the lobby, as she was too fearful to go to the exam room. It’s been very challenging to find a vet hospital that could take their time to make the experience easier for her and help her through the process, and you guys did an amazing job. I am so happy that I finally found you.

My dog was stolen nice Missy he's 5 years old she doesn't buy she has a chip on her please hold her turn it into the shelter and please inform me she's my whole world there's a picture of her and it's veterinarian is great they respectful and honest they're five stars all day long please keep an eye for Missy I'd appreciate it thank you

I am very impressed with the care my dog receives at Montclair Holistic. All of the staff are friendly and do their best to make my dog comfortable during his treatment. Montclair Holistic provides a perfect compliment to the treatment my dog receives at Montclair Veterinary Hospital.

This place is wonderful. I have been bringing my senior dog for acupuncture and physical therapy. We see Dr. Ancier, who is kind, caring, and informative. She takes her time, telling us all the options. The rehab techs are amazing. They are all so wonderful with my dog, who is not always the easiest to work with.

The wholistic care my dogs receive here is a cut above any experienced before. The vet joins my dogs on a comfortable pad on the floor rather then subjected to the frightening experience of being lifted onto a cold metal table. We have the option of natural remedies or western prescriptions when needed. The level of expertise puts me at easy that my dogs are getting the best care possible, thank you, Arbel Shemesh

I'm not sure if words would suffice in explaining how grateful I'm to Dr. Ancier (and the incredible support staff at Holistic vet) and her regenerative laser therapy treatment on my pupper. My pups a 10 yr old Dogo, who within a span of few weeks, went from happy go lucky and bouncy, to be able to barely walk a few blocks :( . He had double bicep injury, which was causing him a lot of pain and I could sense how miserable he was. Did a lot of research before I took him to Holistic vet, and I'm so glad I did. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive of benefits of the regenerative laser therapy. Wasn't sure if it indeed did do what it claimed. It's a long process and it was hard to see any real progress in his demeanor for several weeks. But, Dr. Ancier assured me that she was seeing some significant changes in his gait, steps etc during the physical therapy and obstacle exercises. And sure enough, within a few months, there was noticeable difference! Eventually, our daily outings increased from small walks to the usual frolic and romp at the beach within about 6 months or so. Now, he's back to normal, like the injury never happened :) I do want give a special thanks to the support staff as well. Wish I remembered all their names....but, thank you April and Maricelli. They truly make this place special for Charlie. He's so happy when he gets there. Can't contain him when we get close to the vet! (And finally, thanks to Dr. Ancier for recommending cannabis treatment for Charlie (specifically Right Ratio). It did him a word of difference)

First of all the Vet Techs are amazing I wish they had separate stars for them.April and a nice gentle man who I forgot his name was incredibly sweet and loving to my dog.I had a consult with Dr Ancier she then referred me to Kaylah for acupuncture. The first visit I had was with Kaylah for acupuncture and Dr. Ancier for therapy but when I picked up my dog Dr. Ancier didn't see my dog for therapy like it was scheduled but instead laser therapy was given without my knowledge. I was disappointed because the Dr didn't see my dog like promised . I reserved all my appointments a month in advance and even switched schedules at work.Rather than keep my appointments scheduled with Dr. Ancier I continued the laser therapy. I just wanted help with caring for my dog. He's like my son.I just feel with the money I pay out of pocket for my dog should be more time given. I paid $210 for acupuncture and light therapy for 40 minutes. I'm trying to get help for my senior dog and give him help for therapy so he can be comfortable and try to walk again.With Covid19 being a factor for my family because of money my husband isn't working every single penny counts.I know my senior dog's issue is not a quick fix.My dog needs more than just 40 minutes.Give him at least 1 hour of care. I was so disappointed because I heard good things about this Clinic and was even referred to by my friends and vet.

Although my dog won't give this place 4 paws up I certainly will great service

Dr. Richter was our hail Mary and he went above and beyond to came through for our Macy. While we still have a difficult road ahead, Dr. Richter gave her a fighting chance and we will be forever grateful.

They are amazing! Dr. Ancier is incredible, knowledgeable and has a wealth of ideas for helping my dog. The staff is really nice and clearly treat the pets with care and kindness. I would highly recommend them!!

Dr. Erica was very thorough and the exam was comprehensive. Cassie was a great assistant and my dog actually smiled through the exam. That is amazing!

I feel like Dr. Richter and his staff are so caring toward my cat, Pearl. Dr Richter is very knowledgable about a range of treatments, including herbs, for different problems. His staff is very helpful and accommodating whenever I need anything. I'm very happy to bring my beloved Pearl to Holistic Vet.

Our experience with HVC has been exceptional. It's difficult to summarize everything that HVC has done for our dog and just how wonderful our experience has been. Our large breed senior dog was diagnosed with a stubborn injury 1.5 years ago. The HVC team came to the rescue, providing expert well-rounded care and helping us to avoid surgery! We are working with Dr. Ancier and have found her to be extremely knowledgable, thorough and very attuned to our dogs needs. Our dog loves her (he gets excited just hearing her voice in the room next door)! Dr. Ancier put together a holistic custom plan, including a new (for dogs) regenerative laser treatment that seemed to be key to his recovery. She also guided us to custom cannabis oil therapy, which we were nervous about at first, but has proven to be critical for his comfort and now we are the ones going around recommending it to others! The therapy team has worked with our dog regularly (for strengthening exercises, massage, water therapy and cold laser) and always shows our boy so much love and support all while keeping an expert eye on his progress and needs. It's obvious how much everyone loves animals here and our dog loves them (and he's a very discerning boy). And last but not least, the front desk folks have been so great to work with also. We have had no shortage of requests and they have handled everything quickly, professionally, and are super friendly. Our dogs injury fully healed after eight months. I won't sugar coat it, it took work and dedication from us and the HVC team. But his recovery is a great relief considering that his injury is known to be difficult to treat and often requires surgery. We really can't thank HVC enough for their dedication and knowledge in helping our senior boy get back on his feet and live out his sunset years in comfort! We are now continuing therapy with HVC to help support our dog with his typical senior, large breed challenges, like arthritis. We are so relieved to have a solid vet partner that we trust. 100% Recommend!

THE DOC is very down to earth and great with my pitbull who does not take to everyone. Giving my best friend etc good care.

Our dog Rowdy is 15 and has arthritis in his shoulder. We need to control his pain. We got some ideas from Holistic Veterinary Care to help us. We love our primary care veterinarian but needed more help to control Rowdy's pain. We'll see how this goes.

I didn't take my pet to this clinic, but I phoned Dr. Richter when I adopted two cats from a client of his who runs a "holistic" pet rescue in her house and one of them tested positive for FelV and the other developed a (terrible) eye infection and may be incubating the virus. Since he is under 16 weeks, he may die quickly. Dr. Richter said there was nothing he can do about this woman and her practices. He said he is not a vaccine denier but he was not interested in advocating with her to vaccinate. He showed no compassion, no concern for the community of cats. Ever had something you love die from a preventable disease? Preventable. If you do, be prepared for a response like this from people profiting from it.

My first appointment w/Holistic Vet Care-Took Kitty for a checkup(it had been a few years since he has had one). Dr. Richter was great with Kitty! He was not rushing us w/the appointment as we had questions. Mr.Kitty was very calm during the appt. I will definitely return to Holistic Vet Care

The staff was nice. My dog didn't like acupuncture. After 3 needles it was clear it wasn't going to work. She did like the cold laser. Dr. Richter suggested we use cannabis, when I said I wasn't comfortable with it because my dog had previously had cannabis poisoning from eating a cookie crumb off the sidewalk, he just gave a really glib response. He also didn't say what the cannabis would be treating.
