Citizen Canine is careful and caring. They are very patient with my anxious little dog. We have tried other boarding arrangements, but this is by far the best. I can leave my dog here without worrying about him. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

I left my Boston Terrier at Citizen Canine and she’s timid. I am confident she was taken good care of by the staff.

We love Citizen Canine and so does our pup! We did the 4 week kindergarten program and it was really good for him to get to know new people away from us. The training was well done. I know he knows everything, my only complaint was that I could have used some training as well to be a better enforcer. Even so, I learned a lot about my boy from the feedback they gave me. It’s been very helpful. I wish he could have gotten more time outside playing during the day to expel energy, but I understand to get the option for small groups watched by one person that things need to be rotated. Overall I would send him back. He took a while to warm up but I could tell he formed great relationships with the people and dogs there and it made me really happy to see him connect and get loved up!

Great care and a lot of attention to detail on our dog Goma! Very conveniently located near Oakland airport. Will be using again for sure.

Everyone is so patient, and caring. The fact that my puppy runs to the door when it’s drop off day let’s me know that he loves the staff and that he loves to be there with them!

This place is awesome! 5 stars all around. I called to ask a few questions as I’ve never had to board my dog before. The person i spoke with was so informative, sweet and patient as we talked about the best package/ program that would be for my extremely shy rescue dog. The whole process was great and i was able to relax on my vacation knowing he was in good hands

Our dog practically jumps out the window as we approach citizen canine! She so happy to go in the morning and when I pick her up in the evening I can tell she had fun all day. This is the second dog we have trusted to the great staff and it gives me such comfort to know she is taken care of so well and so attentively. Thank you!

Honestly, a really great place to send your dogs. For my high energy boy, he requires lots of stimulation and I know he’s getting all the love and attention! The price is great too considering, you don’t have to bring your own food if you don’t want. Also, love the report they get at the end to let you know how well they did during their stay! Overall, I really recommend this facility!

Our dog loves Citizen Canine, we can't recommend them enough for daycare or boarding! Our bar is high and they're the only place we've found that meets it.

If I could speak dog language, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever would sing praises for all her furry and human friends at Citizen Canine. She is high energy and gets even more excited when she knows we’re heading to CC! After a day of fun, rest, fun, training, snacks, running, jumping, pack-antics, rest and lots of receiving love, she comes returns home with the most amazing “chilled vibe” my kids say. She had her first overnight experience at CC and thoroughly enjoyed herself, along with receiving great care the entire time. She/we highly recommend Citizen Canine and shall bring our furry ball of energy regularly.

Made appointment online. Took 5 minutes to check in and another 10 minutes for my puppy to get her shots. A+

I feel 100% comfortable leaving my pup at Citizen Canine. When we pull into the driveway she gets so excited. This speaks volumes! The staff is always friendly yet professional and most of the staff has been there for years. Let me just say that a family member works at another dog facility and we can board our pup there for free, but we feel more confident in Citizen Canine and would rather pay for the top quality care that CC provides. Five paws up for Citizen Canine and the great staff!

They take great care of our dogs! We take our dogs at least one day each week for daycare fun! Boarding has been a blessing with the team at Citizen Canine! We know our dogs are comfortable, having fun, and safe.

Baxter and Bisa love the staff at Citizen Canine. The service is excellent and I have recommended their services to friends and colleagues. You never have to worry about your pet baby in their care.

The staff went out of their way to help me book 4 days boarding for our dog recently. They were very full, but said that they would get back to me immediately after they confirmed their schedule. I was panicking. They called back when they promised and their process of promptly processing cancellations, meant that our dog secured a spot and we could go on vacation on time. I really like this organization! Expensive but worth it because they really seem to care.

Our four-year-old male Akita had a great time. Staff knows how to bring out the best of this breed. He socialized with other dogs, got lots of staff attention, and thrived. It was a good vacation for him. He has been a little wary of new people and dogs because his interactions were limited during Covid, but he responded well.

My husband and I loved everything about Citizen Canine. After one of our two chihuahuas got denied from other boarding places we decided to expand our search across other cities in the Bay Area. After reading some reviews we decided to go with Citizen Canine even though it's a 45 minute drive. From start to finish, the staff was very professional and truly caring. Our dogs connected with staff and other dogs (yay) and we just couldn't believe the difference between other places and Citizen Canine. Not only were our dogs cared for, we could tell that they had fun and the staff built their trust. When picking our dogs up the manager Timothy kindly put sweaters on our dogs (chilly day) and we were in awe since one of our dogs does not make it very easy to put a sweater on...LOL. We can't wait for our dogs to go back to meet their old and new friends but also get more love and care from the impeccable staff. Overall, we are just grateful that a place like this exists for our two little fur babies. Thanks!!! :D
