We had to put our sweet baby girl Daisy down this past weekend???? The staff was so very kind, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process. We want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for everything they did for us and our sweet baby girl.

Dr. Singh is the best. He goes out of his way to make sure we understand everything that is going on with our pet and the treatment he recommends. Never pushy, very friendly and takes his time explaining everything. Highly recommended.

Dr Mel Tanner, is the best vet. He's very honest, he's very intelligent, and he is just naturally dog smart!! Great person I'm very lucky to have him to take care of my dogs thank you Dr Tanner!! From cher bear and T.Jay..

I called this place a few weeks ago. Just looking for somewhere to get IV fluids for my cat who was sick out of nowhere. The receptionist told me to take home to standiford emergency vet. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They lied to me and scammed me out of A LOT of money before I took him to monte vista small animal hospital. In total I paid over $3000 for my cat. (A bunch of tests.....) Neither place could find out what was wrong with him.... And get this......... The ONLY thing they did for him was give IV FLUIDS!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I NEVER called this place. Honestly.... They could have helped me but instead told me to go somewhere else.... So thanks FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She wrote sarcastically.........

I have been going to this vet for 2 years with both my Rottweiler/Cane Corso cross, Calypso and my cat, Stryker that I adopted from the Astro Foundation. They have been amazing from day one. They referred me to an amazing orthopedic surgeon for my doggo who has now undergone 2 TPLO's and continues to receive excellent care for her basic needs from FVC like annual physicals, ear infection treatment, and treatment for a skin infection. My 5 star review is due to their part in my cat's journey through life. Within a week of adopting my kitten, they got me set up with a kitten package to ensure he got all his vaccinations and was healthy. Only a couple weeks in, I discovered my poor little guy had a rash that Dr Gottschalk diagnosed as ringworm and immediately got me set up with a quick and effective treatment plan. Then we dealt with a scooting problem and some litter box issues which Dr Gottschalk helped me solve with probiotics and advice. About 8 months in, my poor kitty developed a cancerous tumor on his hind leg. The staff immediately recognized what it was and ordered the proper biopsy and xray to get an accurate diagnosis within 24 hours. It was unfortunately a very aggressive cancer and the only option to save his life was an amputation. They were amazing with providing me all my options with no pressure at a time when I was so distraught about his diagnosis. I chose to take a chance at giving him a longer life by going ahead with the amputation as he wasn't even a year old yet. The staff did an amazing job with the surgery and his care afterwards. He had a happy, fun loving life for almost 2 years after the surgery before the cancer unfortunately came back. ???? When it was time to say goodbye, the euthanasia process was as peaceful as it could've been. They gave my little guy a sedative shot to help him fully relax and be peaceful, giving us a chance to say our goodbye with his pain seemingly gone and him looking so at ease. They didn't rush us after he passed and even reminisced with us about his journey from adoption day. A week later I received a hand written and signed card from the whole staff. I'm so grateful to have chosen Family Veterinary Care of Oakdale and will absolutely continue to go to them for my pet's health care needs.

This veterinary group, long time Oakdalians, is the best vets w have ever had the experience of working with. Our experience is rather unique but it clearly shows the care, responsiveness, and terrific service of these doctors and staff. While my daughter has an extremely close friend that is our regular vet, the Family Vets have been our “go to” emergency care vets and they are extremely responsive, kind, gentle, and always accepting of our rather irregular visits. Our dogs love these vets. They treat our dogs with tender loving care and have always been perfect when it comes to diagnosing and treating the urgent care calls from us. The Family Vets would unquestionably be our regular vet we’re it not for the unusual circumstance with my daughter and her close friend. I cannot say enough good things about this group and for those looking for an outstanding group of Veterinarians, see this group, you will need to look no further.

I am not a client of his vet clinic. Ini need of emergency assistance I called them Saturday morning and they rushed me ,in even though I wasn’t their client.The staff was very kind and sincere and the vet was very professional and offered his condolences for me having to put down my dog for 15 years. I will highly recommend them

I was caring for an unusual animal that became very I'll during the weekend and I needed to have him put down. This clinic was the only clinic in Modesto that would agree to help me. They were kind and allowed me to come in right away so he didn't continue to suffer. I really appreciate the professionalism of the staff and their willingness to help me and my animal, especially on a weekend when most other clinics are closed.

They're excellent vets, they helped a two week old kitten with foxtails embedded in her skin and she's thriving now. Recommend if you live nearby.

Dr. Gottschalk was the only Vet out of four Vets who figured out what was wrong with my dog, Blanca. It's the worse news I can hear, but she still alive and will remain that way for a while. She probably would of died, had I not took her to a fourth Vet. I spent over $700 and no one diagnosed her correctly. Her staff is very friendly, extremely helpful, and very efficient. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable. They didn’t pressure me and gave me all the options with my dogs care. I highly recommend you use this place for your animal care. Their prices are very reasonable.

Went in for my cat who keeps peeing out side of his box, and they actually listened to what I was saying and are doing everything to help us figure out WHY he keeps doing it.

Great place that truly care about your animals

This place was the best place I've ever gone for an emergency. Unfortunately they couldn't save the puppy but they did everything they could and at no cost due to the situation. They even called over the next few days to see if the pup made it through. Unfortunately the pup lost its life due to human negligence. Thank you guys for helping us out.

Very friendly staff, with a surprisingly flexible appointment schedule. I was worried about pricing walking in but was happy to find them reasonable as well. Our pup was happy leaving (if a little woozy from shots) and we're making full use of their puppy plan.
