Arrived early morning with hopes of getting a new family member. Was shocked at the turnout for the puppies. Even more shocked when my number was drawn for the sweetest Pom ever. No their lottery system is not rigged. I didn’t know any of the shelter employees. It seems the fairest way to decide who gets a dog, when multiple people are there for the same one.(I am not just saying that because I won either. I had been going to shelters for 3yrs before I finally got chosen for a dog) After the adoption I called a couple times the first week with questions. The staff was very nice and willing to discuss my concerns in detail. I did not experience any shortness, or rudeness. The facility appeared clean and well maintained. The staff seems to genuinely care about the animals. Thank you Norco for giving me my new best friend, Naughty. She’s doing great and getting quite used to the spoiled life.

Norco Animal Control officers are great at getting out when a really serious or scary problem occurs with wild or injured animals. They, like everyone these days, are working sooooooooooo hard just to keep up with their jobs and responsibilities. This morning I had a small snake making our Portuguese Water Dog nuts. I am not a snake person and didn't want either the snake or our dog to be injured. The officer arrived in no time and gave me and my neighbor a good bit of information on snakes and didn't mind at all that I could not identify a young California King Snake. (To me they are all scary!!) Best of all he was personable, kind and just a nice guy. It can't be easy dealing with the public every day, but if we all remember these folks are working for our protection and that of all the animals we won't have any unpleasant encounters. We have lived in Norco for 38 years and I have always known I could count on Animal Control to be there when it mattered and to work hard at keeping both the animals and the people safe. Thank you to all of them!!

Made a call first to check on a future family member but was rushed and lady had an attitude on the phone. As soon as we entered we were not greeted until I stood over the office desk . The lottery they had was very sketchy as if the workers new the lottery winners all white individuals won what a coincidence!

Animals are great but I noticed that the workers are really rude. We went through a misplaced caution tape area and we were approached in a disrespectful and unnecessary matter. She came at us like we were criminals and even brought a patrol officer right behind her. Then when we apologized she went on to give us unnecessary attitude. We also noticed that the animals became very quite when they came in which indicates something bad. So overall I did not like how we were treated.

We adopted two kittens from here in 2013 and they are still going strong and ruling the house with an iron paw! The facility was large and very clean. Animals were healthy. The staff was very helpful.

Visited this place when I dropped off some pumpkins for the animals. It's definitely hidden in the hills of Norco, but worth the drive to volunteer!!

The ladies are sweet and kind and helpful. The animals always well taken care of please consider this shelter if you are looking for a pet. We have adopted 2 different dogs from here and they give you coupons and a adoption package. For many things your new pet might need. Great experience! Adopting here.

Officer Sandivol was very professional and extremely helpful. I appreciate him removing the live skunk from my yard. He also called me to let me know that he had taken the skunk to a safe area and everything was ok. Thanks Officer Sandivol!

I adopted my new bundle of love right after the quarantine ended. I found him the day before quarantine started , so I had to wait. He was well cared for and appeared happy when I met him.

These people at the Norco shelter are amazing! From officer Sandoval (the boss?) to Terry to Ann and Faith, they are all super helpful and friendly. Last time I called because there was a opposum in middle of the street and I wasn't sure if it was still alive. Officer Sandoval went looking for it, called me to follow up and gave me an update. They truly LOVE animals and do anything to help!

Called about a dog I wanted to see and the employee who answered said, that the dog was available. I drove to the shelter and when I asked about the dog, I was told by another person that the dog might not be available for adoption! They need more communication between them so that there's no misunderstanding.

Lady at the front was extremly rude to my wife. We had simply found a dog on the streets, spent three days during and after thankgiving to find this poor dogs owner. Finally had to just give it to Animal control. In which wanted to investigate my wife for doing this ladies job basicly, kept accusing my wife of being the owner... Tax dollars once again waisted on programs that allow criminals to continue to do wrong and upstanding citizens to pay for it.

Small shelter, caring staff, the Norco Animal Shelter is clean and we'll maintained. They accept donations of petfood, towels, blankets, and of course money. Not a lot of parking, and closed Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays.
