I question the kenneling methods managed by this facility. My dog 10 (year old lab) from the moment she was picked up this morning has not been the same physically or emotionally; she is non engaging, not sure if that’s normal. I’ve never once in 10 years wolf down her food like it’s her last meal - she won’t eat Almost like she was drugged or deprived. We’ve had her back 12 hours and she is a different dog. We are considering taking her to the vet tomorrow am. Proceed with caution for extended stays here. (She was there 3 nights) never again in any kennel that’s for sure.

I entrusted this facility to care for my dog for 4 days and 3 nights earlier this month. From the moment I picked her up, she was urinating blood (and urinating every single hour which is clearly unusual). I called them but they were closed so I left a VM. I had to take her to the pet ER and $700 later it was determined that she had both a UTI and a staph infection. I never got a call back from the VM I left. When I called them to let them know what had happened they claimed absolutely nothing was wrong with her when she was there. They agreed to refund me but not to help cover the $700 emergency bill resulting from their negligent care. Anyone with a legal background will tell you that their admission of guilt lies on their willingness to immediately refund me for my dog's stay - even if they outright do not admit any fault/guilt explicitly, this alone is an admission of fault. I only take my dog to pet boarding places with a vet onsite to ensure that any health issues are addressed on the spot. My usual boarding spot didn't have availability the week I had to travel, but I won't be taking that chance again. I warn you not to board your pet here due to the negligence they clearly have in regards to your pet’s well-being.

Dr. Anthony Rizk and his staff at NCAH are super friendly and professional. I called to make an appointment for a check up and grooming for my two, poofy Pomeranians, and they were able to take both dogs in on short notice. My pups both received excellent service and a cute summer cut! The last groomer I took my dogs to traumatized them, but today they came back happy and carefree! NCAH is also quite affordable, and they take all Covid-19 safety measures into consideration. They even come straight to you, and you don't even have to leave your car! Talk about excellent service!

I recently adopted a couple kittens as a surprise for my children. We took the kittens to Newport Center Animal Hospital to get checked out. I was so impressed by how friendly and helpful the entire staff is there. Dr. Rizk and his staff took such great care of us during the entire process. We were sent home with a few products to help us get started and have what we needed right away to ensure that our new kittens were comfortable. If we had any questions or concerns, Dr. Rizk kindly tended to us. I recently returned for our kittens' vaccinations and I was treated in the same friendly and professional manner as my first couple visits. My kittens are very well taken care of there and we always leave happy. Thank you for all your help, Dr. Rizk!

The entire staff here is great! They are always so gentle with my Dog Charlie. I recently brought in my pet for what I thought was a small wound but turns out was a severe infection and she needed surgery. They were able to get her in next day and followed up with me when she was able to go home. Thank you!

Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable rates for dog/cat grooming. With COVID-19 protocol, the front staff continues to be exceptional in helping and communicating to the pet owner. However you don’t get to interact with the veterinarian and I was very upset when we took our cat for a joint issue, found out she had hyperthyroid condition, gave her the prescription and tried to communicate through the staff her health was deteriorating and wanted to stop the medicine. Doctor disagreed and she passed away a day before her appointment. The doctor was very inflexible an not considering the owners concern.

I have worked at animal hospitals and been to several vets over the years. Dr. Tony is hands down the most knowledgable and caring vet I have ever met. We adopted a French Bulldog who experienced all the health issues, heart murmur, allergies, anxiety, aggression the list goes on. Within minutes, Dr. Tony did more for our dog than the 6 previous vets combined. He adds tremendous value to our family. We are lifers at Newport Center Animal Hospital.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but we’ve been bringing our dog here for five years and they always take such good care of her. They do an amazing job grooming as well.

I took my dog there 3 times in one month because they said nothing was wrong yet he continued to itch uncontrollably. They took my money without any resolution. Later we find out my dog has mites and now my husband has them also. Do not go to thus place the receptionist are rude and did not have any compassion. Go to newport costa Mesa animal hospital. They are honest and good.

This hospital is a joke! They have no empathy for your pet. They don't have a professional explanation about their negligence! Just wait for the check! My cat went to daycare on Thursday and just woke up dead today! what is the explanation? You don't even know how to give an explanation to the phone the secretaries of this place! Never leave your pets in this hospital for nursery or others! they don't even notice if they eat or don't eat, they don't do anything !!! they just want the money

Very Rude Staff! Newport Center Animal Hospital dearly needs a new General Manager who understands "customer service" and whip the front office troglodytes into shape. I went with the cat's sponsor after I was treated rudely the day before. I am glad the sponsor got to witness their level of Customer Abuse. The 3:00PM appt was made to a drop your pet off over night. Why have an appointment? Maybe the doctors are super competent. Pity they are served by such staff who reflect their professionalism

This place is horrible and just wants the fastest way to collect your money. Vet services are drastically over priced and they mandate services that other vets and play groups do not require (just so you have to pay for their services). Now, the grooming is WAY WORSE! NEVER groom your dog here! We took our dog here and he came back shaved. They never called us to say anything was going wrong but they shaved his body and left his tail and head long...WTF. Oh and you better believe they charged our credit card! Absolute sham of a place and management lacks responsibility and oversight of their employees and services provided. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!

Dr. Tony Rizk and his staff are the absolute best!!! My dog is always so excited when I pull up to board her when I am away out of town. She doesn't even care when I leave and tell her, "bye" she just runs straight back to play group! Makes me so happy she's at a place she loves and that I can trust. Seriously thank you!!!

Friendly, but disorganized. I came to pick up my dog & they brought her out. My dog had recently injured her foot, so I asked for the antibiotics back. They eventually found them. I asked for her "cone" back. After more searching they eventually found it. Same thing with her extra food. But they never found the healing cream I had left with them. They called me several days later to tell me they had found it, and I could "come pick it up.". I was already back home in Northern California, so told them this wasn't feasible. I asked them to please mail it to me ($30+ cream) and they agreed. I called twice more with the same request, but they never sent it to me. Very disappointed...

Friendly staff. Clean facility. My dog always enjoys her overnight stays at NCAH.

I have boarded my dog and cat for a long time, here ,however I will no longer trust my animals here. Long before I left for a 10 day trip I reserved a large room for my 95lb dog and a regular room for my cat. When I picked up my dog there was a little puppy in his big room and he was put in a tiny box of a room in the corner. Who knows how many days my poor dogs was put in that tiny enclosure while a little puppy romped around in his big room I reserved.

I take my dog there for all vet care and grooming. Dr. Rizk and staff are great. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you for taking care of our 4 legged family member!

Dr Rizk is a very caring vet, he is straight forward with his recommendations for care. I am pleased to hear he is also involved in the care of shelter animals!!

I’be been bringing my dog to playgroup for eight years. He rushes to get in there every time! The staff is very friendly. The place is always clean.

Look, taking your animal to the vet always seems to be a hassle. Am I getting ripped off? Is this vet qualified? Is my animal actually getting better? I had no doubt the first time we brought our dogs to Dr. Rizk. His diagnosis were on point and we didn't get gouged. He made sure we knew everything he was doing and answered all our questions. My fiancé and I own 6 dogs and have a family of 10+ animals having a vet like Dr. Rizk is amazing. Oh and the boarding facility soooo cool! Do yourself a favor bring your babies here.

Love this place! They offer everything from daily boarding to surgery. They have 3 whole stories of pet condos and all the condos have plexiglass so the pets don't catch anything from each other. My pet needed surgery after he somehow seriously hurt his tail and they did a great job and kept him from needing an amputation.

This is one of the very few boarding or pet hotels that can take in a large dog. I have a great Dane so it's nice to know he is not crammed into a smaller kennel. The staff is friendly and they have qualified vets on staff as it's also a veterinary clinic. Now this brings me to the actually kennels. It is worth checking out for the mini furniture in each kennel to accommodate different pets; some with tv's. It's hysterical. Last, they board dogs on one side of the building and cats on the other to reduce stress. What do I not LOVE about this place.

This is an absolutely incredible facility. I rescued a little shihtzu from west LA and they took the best care of her and went so far above and beyond to help me. I can't say enough good things about them!

Great! Staff and Vet! I've brought my dog her several times for grooming and day boarding. Most recently my dog had a case of pancreatitis and Dr. Rizk did a great job! He was patient and informative.
