Our family has had pets for decades... from puppies through adulthood. Most have been 'rescue dogs'. After having a difficult time finding a Veterinarian that we felt comfortable with to entrust our pets to we found Dr. Harika through referrals. During the last decade, from the mundane to the crisis situations, Dr. Harika has always demonstrated professionalism, compassion and remarkable medical skills & knowledge. However, he is not hesitate to seek external resources as needed. Dr. Harika will be honest regarding our pet's care... helping through recoveries as well as being forthright with those decisions that are difficult to hear. During the difficult times, Dr. Harika has allowed us time to grieve and gave our dear pets the peaceful 'goodbyes' they deserved. I can't begin to tell you how grateful we are as our pets are family. Recently we had a very difficult situations with our beloved pet Joey - our 14 year old 'pup' (you will see him in the picture with Dr. Harika). He was seriously injured and we were facing having to 'put him down'. The surgery he required was a specialized surgery not commonly performed by Veterinarians. Dr. Harika went above and beyond... calling in a specialized Veterinarian known for performing this surgery. The end result, Dr. Harika spent time learning techniques required to save Joey's life. Three months later, Joey is thriving & thinks he's a pup again! I seldom write reviews, however I would be remiss to not extend our gratitude to Dr. Harika, Morgan Hill Animal Hospital, and his professional, compassionate staff.

Morgan Hill Animal Hospital is a good experience. Dr. Harika is comforting and gentle. Ashley is so pleasant when she answers calls.

Dr. Harika and staff go above and beyond to help our dogs, they have always been there when we need them most. We have chose MHAH since 1999. I’m not impressed by vaccine clinics and big corporations. If you looking for genuine personalized care this is the place. My pets are grateful for Dr Harika’s expertise in dentistry and surgery he has done so much for our furry family.

We have been taking our 3 dogs to see Dr. Harika for over a decade. Dr. Harika is such an exceptional Veterinarian! He is extremely knowledgeable, always communicates our pet’s issues in an understanding manner, and works with us to develop a plan of care if needed. He is an extremely caring and compassionate Veterinarian. Dr. Harika has been there for our pets through all stages of their lives-from our current new puppy to our elderly furry friends. Even during this difficult time, he arranged a much needed surgery and specialized dental procedure for my 14 year old Shih Tzu. He went to great lengths to ensure my dog received excellent care during surgery as well as post surgical care. Although I was a bit concerned about my dogs advanced age and going through surgery, I intuitively knew my dog would be fine because he was in the hands and care of Dr. Harika and his wonderful staff. I happy to say, my little Shih Tzu is doing great! I am so grateful and so appreciative of Dr. Harika and his amazing and dedicated staff.

A new puppy in life can bring lot of excitement and questions, Dr. Jaspal Harika took time to take our call prior to even before the birth and walked through the life cycle and needs of a new born until they landed home. Followed through what to expect when welcoming home a new puppy and their needs. Pretty much a repeat experience of our pediatrician when we had our kids and amazing help all the way…, our sincere thanks to Dr. and his staff for their kindness and courtesy during the Covid times. Our first visit was a breeze and the same quality we come to expect from our initial conversations. Thank you for your continued service, patience and compassion during this difficult time.

Dr. Harika of Morgan Hill Animal Hospital is probably the best vet I've had the pleasure of looking after my 4 dogs One of my senior dogs has a history of pancreatitis My dog was having a bad flare of pancreatitis, he was losing quite a bit of blood from both ends extremely frightening, so I Called Dr Harika on the chance they would see him immediately Dr. Harika had him on treatment within half hour and he has made a full recovery. My other senior dog fell down the stairs recently also, she's small and quite fragile I took her in to Dr. Harika thinking i'd have to say goodbye to her she did quite a number on her neck and leg, but no he had her up and running, well, walking within few weeks after treatments in office. Thank you Dr Harika :)

My wife and I just adopted two adorable kittens, and we brought them in to see Dr. Harika to make sure they were in good health and get their vaccines updated. He was so communicative and friendly. You can definitely tell how much he loves and cares for animals.

This is our first and only experience with Morgan HIll Animal hospital. We're new to Morgan Hill and needed a new vet for our dogs. We made an appointment at Morgan Hill Animal Hospital a week ahead, called to verify the morning of the appointment, and then arrived on-time for the drop-off of our dog. They are doing parking lot pickup/drop-off, which requires you to give their front desk a call upon arriving and then exchanging your animal outside the main entrance. We called, confirmed that someone would be out shortly, and then proceeded to sit for no less than 30 minutes after our appointment time in the rain while other customers that were arriving later were being served -- we were intently ignored, even going out of their way to avoid eye contact. Needless to say, we will never be giving our business to Morgan Hill Animal hospital and I would absolutely not recommend this business to anyone looking for a vet. I get that we're in a pandemic, but this was exceptionally rude and in poor taste.

I took my pup to Dr. Harika to get a dental cleaning. He has never had a dental cleaning before and had a massive infection. Doctor Harika went above and beyond to help get my pup in ASAP granted his infection. He even said he would come in on the weekend on his time off if that meant taking care of my pup. He goes above and beyond every time to ensure the health and safety of my pet! I recommend Dr. Harika and his staff to everyone! If I could give his office more stars I would! I have never found such a caring vet in a long time!

They forgot to trim her nails. They forgot to dispense her heartworm medication. They didn’t itemize the invoice with prices or instructions for medications. I had to ask for these. They charged $75 for the office visit because it was a same day appointment. $60 to clean a wound (my dog was bitten on the ear). So they cleaned the wound and dispensed way to many medications (all vets do this) and the bill was close to $400. Am I the only one who thinks that veterinarians are thieves in white coats. Not impressed. Would not recommend.

We live in Virginia and work out of San Jose, this office is always helpful in fulfilling our request to have our cat checked out, or nails trimmed. Great staff.Thanks Miss Kitty

I love this Animal hospital so much!! Dr Harika has so much compassion for animals!! He really loves what he does!! I have had the best experiences here! I have a cat named Buddy. Buddy was in a lot of pain. He had a really hard time walking! 2 other doctors could not figure out Buddy's pain. I was blessed to find Dr Harika. Dr Harika found out what was wrong with Buddy. He was the only doctor to see the problem in the xray. Dr Harika kept the best communication with me, through out the whole process. He would always take the time to call ,and tell me what was going on. He was very concerned for Buddy! Dr Harika fixedBuddy's condition. Buddy is doing so GOOD. He is out of that horrible pain. I am so thankful, for Dr Harikas knowledge!!! Dr Harika also is good with my other two cats!! I am also so grateful for Ashley who runs the front desk. She is also the best. She is so kind and so friendly everytime I call or go in there for Buddys appointments.. This office is the best. I highly recommend this office to everyone!!!! You will truly get the best care here!!!!!

Our dog had been suffering from pancreatitis. The first time we brought him in they misdiagnosed the problem, so that by the second time we brought my dog in he had already suffered more vomiting and seizing in pain multiple times. Then they asked for his urine sample, we got it to them ASAP, and then more than a week passed. It took US calling them first for them to tell us they lost his sample. On top of it, the vet said "we're only human" and that "oh well often by the time we finish the urine test we find out the dog has passed away"... This vet is a JOKE, with an obvious lack of attention for its patients. It might be convenient of them to hold off on doing urine tests because "most dogs pass away by then" but that is UNACCEPTABLE. Our dog is a member of our family, not an object or possession. Imagine a vet telling you that. On top of all the stress of my dog going through the pain and suffering he's going through, having an incompetent vet does not help. After we explained my dog had been suffering from what I thought were seizures he said "dogs don't have seizures, it's just pain" and he put my dog on pain killers and antibiotics.... fast forward to us checking my dog into an emergency vet with an internal veterinary medicine specialist who said "#1 dogs can absolutely have seizures and pancreatitis (one of the ailments of my dog) should NEVER be treated with antibiotics before he's had a full ultrasound of his stomach. We sadly had to put my dog down the same day at the specialist vet's office, who basically said the last month of going to the other vet only prolonged our dog's pain with bad diagnosis and treatment and that given our dog's old age, there wasn't much to do at this point other than put our dog out of his misery. Don't EVER use Morgan Hill Animal Hospital... go to a vet that knows dogs have seizures, go to a vet that knows when and when not to give out antibiotics, GO TO A VET THAT KNOWS HOW TO DO THEIR JOB AND CARES...

I trust Dr Harika and his staff to take car of my cats. They always get great care, even with all the inconveniences caused by Covid-19. And the doc always reads and responds to my emails.

Dr. Harika is excellent with the pets very good doctor and if they don't have appt available they squeeze you in for your pet. his staff very good too.

THEY ALMOST KILLED MY DOG! And then won't give me the name of their malpractice insurance!the rushed us into a dirty back room 50 minutes after our appointment time! Drew blood and gave my 7 lbs dog 3 vaccines in less than 10 minutes! They closed at 1 so they were in a hurry. An hour later, my dogs eyes are swollen almost shut, nose and mouth swollen, back legs swollen. But they are closed here so I have to rush my dog to get even more injections at another hospital. The doctor at the other place knew immediately what had happened and they said MHAH never should have done this to my dog. Especially without informing us of the possible reactions!!! I was lucky enough to catch my dogs reaction before I had left the house for work. If I hadn't, my dog would be dead. DO NOT trust this place. Never once was there an apology. While on the phone with the vet asking the name of his insurance company, he would do anything to not give that information including trying to say that he was in the middle of a surgery and because I was “taking too long on the phone” I, I was “going to kill this dog” and it’s death would be my “fault”. If he was in surgery why did he take the time to come to the phone at all? Why be on the phone with me at least 10 minutes before mentioning this? All I wanted to know was the name of the insurance but this man would rather put peoples beloved pets’ lives at risk than be responsible and answer a simple 2 second question. I am disgusted at the service I received and the behavior of this awful veterinarian.

I can’t say enough good things about them or their service. We have 2 adult cats that are our world, and when they go to the vet, they treat them with as much care as we do at home. Today, I adopted a stray cat and I literally called 6 times to ask question after question. They answered every call with a warm greeting and helpful information. I could tell they genuinely wanted to help me to give my new kitten the proper care. Beyond grateful, because this isn’t something I could’ve handled alone and I love all our babies so much that I wouldn’t trust just anyone to handle them. Thank you guys for caring and helping me. This review is way past due. I have to say that Dr Harika is the best vet ever!! Both of my girls were sick. He worked non stop to figure out what the issue was. He constantly was following up to make sure they were getting better regardless of time of day or day of week. He truly went above and beyond to help me and my girls. Best vet ever!!!! He truly cares!!!

There’s a direct approach to treatment and there’s zigzagging approach to treatment to make more money. This place is the 2nd one.

I can't say enough about the care and service I receive from Dr. Harika and his staff. I had always gone to the VCA clinics because they were a chain of clinics until the costs became way too much to absorb. I've always adopted my dogs from shelters and my current best friend "Bugsy" I've had now for 5 years. Shortly after adoption I discovered that Bugsy had a very large cyst under his neck. VCA told me it would cost somewhere in excess of $7500. I began searching reviews such as the one I'm writing for a doctor that cared and maybe was willing to work with me on the costs. Dr. Harika went above and beyond in acquiring a specialist surgeon who came in after hours to perform the surgery at cost. His staff worked with me while the agency I adopted "Bugsy" from raised the funds from donations to pay for the surgery. I've never been so grateful to find a doctor who places his patients above the value of a dollar. This last weekend Bugsy was acting really strange, cowering in corners, not responding to my calls, and not caring where I was. This was highly unusual since he never leaves my side. I sent an email to Dr Harika and got a response within an hour on a Sunday afternoon! Bugsy is back to normal and his happy go lucky self. THANK YOU! to Dr Harika and your staff for the work you do and for caring.

Dr. Harika and the staff at MHAH are AWESOME!! I have taken my pets here for several years now and would never consider going anywhere else. I refer all of my friends here. People often think of veterinarians as being "out for your money" and that they don't really care about you or your pet. This could not be further from the truth with Dr. Harika and his staff. I have found them to be the most kind, caring, and compassionate people, both with my pets, and also with me. I cannot afford enormous vet bills, and Dr. Harika is always very understanding of this. He does everything he can to find a way to make the visit economical for me, often without my asking. I also appreciate that he thinks outside the box. If your pet is sick or injured, he is willing to go the extra mile to heal them, even if it means coming up with some non- traditional ideas. If traditional treatments don't work, he will find something else that does. He truly cares about each and every animal and wants to help. He is a wealth of knowledge with experience in so many different facets of veterinary medicine, and knows so much about so many different kinds of animals. He's very thorough with his follow-ups, and and post surgery checkups. I have a diabetic dog, and he will often email me or call me to check in on her and make sure she is still doing well. Above and beyond the call of duty. If you are looking for a place to take your pets, bring them here. I promise, you won't be disappointed. And as a side note- he has so many amazing stories to tell about animals! If you decide to take your animals here - and you really should!!!!- ask him about Galapagos Tortoises and alligators, and all the other cool animals he has cared for. : )

Dr. Harika has proven to be a very compassionate and caring vet. He has worked with my cats for quite a few years now, including our newly adopted kitten who was having strange respiratory issues (turned out to be a litter allergy!). He was thorough with my questions and understanding of my new mom nerves. He was even kind enough to check in with me via email to see how our little kitten was doing over the weekend while she was being treated. When my mother's elderly and blind cat started having seizures he was able to treat her AND work within my mother's very restricted budget. His staff has always been helpful and kind as well.

Morgan Hill Animal Hospital is incredible! Dr. Harika is extremely knowledgeable and definitely interested in the welfare of animals first and foremost. One evening our cat had a problem and he met us at the office at 10 pm rather than go to the emergency vet in SJ which would have charged us a lot more money. He gives us options and helps us make good decisions. The staff at MHAH is very compassionate, caring, and love what they do, resulting in loving care for their patients. We highly recommend Dr. Harika and MHAH and would never consider going anywhere else.
