I was more than pleasantly surprised with how my son took to Nancy's instruction. My son is on the autistic spectrum. This is the 1st activity he wants to continue. Nancy is just what my 13 year old son needs. She is kind, yet firm and allows the kids to be independent but, there when necessary. My son has learned a lot and has more confidence. He advocates for himself when he's at the lesson and that is something new. I hope to continue taking my son there as long as he wants.

Mrs. Peck is a great teacher! There were a lot of beautiful horses.

Nance is such an amazing trainer to work with. Great personality, sense of humor, and an amazing eye for equitation. I love boarding and riding my horse here. I have learned so much from her and was able to earn ribbons at my first show! If you are looking for a new boarding facility or trainer this is the place to be. I recommend this riding facility to anyone that has any interest in riding and wants to learn from the best!

I will start with the negative and then proceed with the positive. Negative: stalls are run down and facility upkeep is lacking, everything needs a face lift. The owner Nance is not a good business woman, and that’s why she always has stalls open and a small clientele. She stole my saddle and lied and said she didn’t have it when I owed her money. I would have paid her if she wouldn’t have stolen my saddle and started getting extremely nasty with me and threatening to sue. Things would have gone a lot differently if she hadn’t stolen my saddle and basically held it for ransom without my knowledge. Lucky for me I found my saddle at a near by saddlery where she had it on consignment and bought it back nearly 3 years later. Now we are even and square on me owing her money. I did not give her permission to hold my saddle as collateral. I advice against doing business or working out any deals with her without having a written detailed contract. Positive: two very nice sized arenas, and the footing is fairly nice. Couple decent turn outs, nice round pen and bull pen. (Round pen and bull pen footing isn’t super great but gets the job done). Also great trails near by. Overall I advice anyone who wishes to board, take lessons, work here, or do any sort of business be careful and proceed with cautions. Nance can be very sweet, but also very mean and nasty. Get everything in writing always.

Just recently found my daughter’s saddle on consignment, which was stolen by Nance Tapley-Peck back in May 2017. Nance told my daughter that she was leaving her tack outside the farm and to come pick it up. When she got there the saddle was missing. Nance told her it must have been stolen and she doesn’t know where it is. My daughter owed Nance money for trailering her horse from Arizona, she paid $300 and made 1 payment of $50 as my then 18 year old daughter was trying to get on her feet. Nance kept harassing and threatening to sue her 3 days after coming back from Arizona. I told my daughter not to pay her another dime because I knew that Nance stole her saddle and was illegally holding it with no guarantee we’d get it back because she lied and said she didn’t have it! Problem is, we had no proof... until now! Cut forward to 2 years and 8 months later, on January 14, 2020 my daughter and I went to a local saddlery shop to look for a saddle for her, since she has been saddleless for almost 3 years, lo and behold there is her saddle, on consignment!! I then decided to check out Peck Farm’s Facebook page, as I was scrolling through pictures looking for someone riding in the saddle I find pictures of the saddle for sale, dated September 10 and 11, 2017!! I’m glad we found her saddle even though she did keep the expensive stirrup leathers and stirrups. Shame on you Nance! You should’ve gone the legal way and given her back her saddle and then just accepted the payments she was making to you. Sofia would’ve made you whole if you weren’t so greedy and nasty. Today 1/17, my daughter called Nance and tried to tell her she saw that her saddle was on consignment and offered her the $850 still owed to her for the trailering. Nance then said “well you owe me a lot more than the asking price of $1200 (consignment price)”. Which is not true. Nance said “ you owe me way more than what I’m posting the saddle for, for the extra things we had to go through “. What??!! The extra 3 days she had her tack trunk there? And the saddle she stole? Or maybe the dinner Nance bought her and the couple bits of beef jerky?!!! Which she threw in my daughter’s face back then, when Nance told her not to worry, it was on her!! Nance hung up on her. Well because of Nance’s greedy and uncooperative behavior I bought the saddle from the shop and whatever amount she gets from the sale takes care of the amount owed to her! In fact she owes me $350! Because I payed $1200 for the stolen saddle and the debt was only $850. Don’t do business with Nance Talley-Peck. She is a greedy liar and thief with no moral ethics.

This farm has Stolen horses and tack from many people. For you and your animals safety i would suggest keeping away from peck farms. Unfortunately I personally have observed what I would say to be the most Unethical, immoral ,shady business practices I have ever seen I’m embarrassed i ever stepped foot on that property.

Great facility and friendly staff. My oldest enjoyed their summer camp. They offered western and eastern ridding lessons. My daughter choose western. The instructor was very patient and had strong command of the horses and class. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. Bottom line my doll loved it and took so much from the classes.

Beautiful ranch with spectacular views of the peach orchards! Super CLEAN and Nance has the best high quality hay around! I have been at Peck Farms for 3 years with my friend Julie Ann. We have 3 horses together and we love it! Jumping arena, dressage arena, and a 3rd arena plus access to all the Happy Camp Trails which are beautiful! If you want a clean quiet place for your horse, I can't say enough nice things about Peck Farms in Moorpark! She has some great lessons too! She has a big group of kids who are really getting good!! We love it here!

I started lessons a couple months ago with Mrs. Peck. I knew from the first lesson this was the place for me. Mrs. Peck has such a great way of teaching you, she constantly gives you little reminders, (i.e feet down, how to position your hands), that are kind of tricky to keep track of everything when you first start riding, so it’s super helpful. She also lets me know when I’m doing the right thing and is very encouraging. She truly cares that you are learning to do things the correct way, ensuring safety of rider and horses. She has a true passion and love of horses; which is such a fun environment to be in. Her stables are clean and the horses are well looked after and loved. She goes above and beyond and I can not recommend her enough.

I have been a student, rider, and assistant at Peck Farm for the past 8 years. During that time I have learned so much from Nance Tapley-Peck. It would take me too long to write all of the wonderful things I know about her so I will …

Great place to board your horse or even take lessons. Very clean stalls and the horses are fed very well. Quite and peaceful atmosphere. Nance Tapley-Peck is extremely knowledgeable and great with the horses. There is a patio for relaxing, 3 different rings to ride, and turn outs for your horse. There are also pastures for those horses who don not do well in stall. i would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a new facility to board. Plenty of room and no crazy fees for boarding. Take a look.

We signed up both of our daughters for one week of camp with Nancy Peck in 2010. Nancy really taught them everything they need to know, and she expects the kids to learn. They had a lot of focused attention and had to learn how much work is put into horse care and riding. Nancy's teaching is better for older kids and serious riders.
