Lazy Dog Kennels Camarillo, California

I had to leave my two 3 month old puppies while on a trip. I was concerned since they were so young. Ann explained how good it would be for them at their age, to play with other dogs and socialize. She was right! Before their stay they were super skittish. Eight days later, I picked up brave, happy puppies, the difference was amazing. During that time Ann sent photos, and was happy to let me know how they were doing any time I asked. They will definitely visit again. A big thank you to Ann and her staff at Lazy Dog Kennels.

My dog has been there several times. He always trots off happily with the attendant and comes back happy and worn out. On one occasion, he needed medication and they handled with ease. My dog is an extra large Catahoula, but the staff handles him on a loose lead with no issues. I feel very comfortable leaving him there. I have friends that have used them many times as well, with terrific results.

If you have a pitbull, they will not treat your dog well. They separate them from all the other dogs regardless of their behavior.This is a business run out of a residential home. They discourage any kind of barking because of their neighbors, which is all the more reason to go to an actual dog kennel. I promise you can do better than this place

I would choose another location. I had a terrible experience her at Lazy Dog Kennels. The staff with extremely rude. The location will not let you see inside the kennels, to view the boarding conditions or living quarters, for your dog upon drop off or pick up. Visiting hours are extremely limited. My opinion is that, Camarillo has many other location that offer professional, safe and viewable stays.

First time boarding my dog and it was a great experience. It’s in a residential area so it seemed a bit odd at first but drop off and pick up both went really smoothly, and I was able to pay using my phone without any problems ( a nice perk during COVID-19). It was my first time being away from my dog for any extended period of time, but the staff sent me plenty of pictures of her playing and having fun. I will definitely be back next time I need dog boarding and will recommend this place to my friends.

My dog loves this place! He hates being away from me but once we get here he gets super excited! They also socialized him more since i was always scared to since he got attacked as a puppy but he absolutely loves playing with the other dogs here! This is my go to place when i feel he’s bored at home or I’m out of town!

Took my dog today for the first time and he did really good. The young lady that helped me both times at the great was really nice. I will be bringing my dog back for sure. He recently was Boarded for the night when we went out of town to LAS VEGAS For the weekend he did really well the first time staying there overnight when we left I just boarded him last night and HE DID AWESOME Everytime he comes home stinky tired and happy great place to drop off your dog If interested my dog BLU loves it there. 5STAR# Good vibes

My 2 dogs play here 2-3 days a week while I'm at work. The dogs love going and the staff is great.

My daughter and I have used Lazy dog kennels many times and are always pleased with the owner And her staff. My dog is now having breathing problems due to age and I feel confident they will be aware of his needs and provide the care he needs. BUT most of all he comes back exhausted, smelly and happy, so that makes Mommy happy.

I love it. Very trust worthy and my dog has been so happy here. I love knowing shes in good safe hands. Ive been doing boarding and visit her and they send me pictures. She gets lots of play time. She never wants to leave me and shes happy to go with them. :) very pleased

I left my dog here over Thanksgiving and she came home so happy!! I love that she got to run around with all the other dogs. I will definitely be returning.

I’ve been bringing both my dogs for years now and they always are happy when I pick them up and I’ve never had an issue. They even reminded me that I was due for one of my shots.

I felt assaulted by the male employee there, his name is John. I reported it to the owner, Ann, and she refused to return my $40 credit and refused to give me an itemized receipt. It appears she just wanted to keep my credit. There is have an open investigation with the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the headache and abuse!!!! Not to mention my dog got bit while she was there and like many of the other reviews ive read nobody seemed to care. This place needs to be shut down!!!!!

Lazy dog kennel is just the best!! I have been leaving my dogs with them for years!!!! The location is awesome, the kennels are clean, the dogs get outside time and they follow are super friendly and easy going. I would not trust my dogs going anywhere else, and my dogs love going there as soon as I pull in the drive way the know and start going crazy with excitement.. I would highly recommmend this place if you are looking for a safe spot for your fur babies!!!

I love that I can take my dogs here and they get to run round all day. I sometimes drop them off for day care and others they have stayed for a extended period of time and every time I drop them off they have not problem leaving me and following any of their employees which makes me think they like going. I’ve been taking my dogs here for the last 6 years and I would recommend to everyone, Friendly staff, easy appointment making and clean.

Not a safe place for your dog. My dog was bit and no one seemed to care. My dog came home very anxious and unhappy. It took about a week for him to recover.

I've been taking my dog here for about 7 years. He'll stay anywhere from 1 night to up to 2 weeks at a time and never had an issue. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My dog seems to like them and have no issue following them in and away from me and I love that he gets to interact with other dogs while he's there. They even offer a bath with brushing and nail clippings which I always get!!! He always comes home happy and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my best friend there!!

We have 3 dogs, and whenever we travel we have to find someone to stay at the house or a place to board them. After trying in home services and some kennels that we liked but were way overpriced, we found lazy dog kennels. The price was great, everyone we spoke with was incredibly nice and helpful, and the dogs love going! when we get in the car and start getting close to the kennel they get so excited and can't wait to get out of the car!

I love this place. The staff is so friendly and my shepherd is really terrified of new people, but they took it slow and she loves it there! It also helped her become more social. Ann is wonderful and super caring.

Have used frequently for long and short stays for our Shepherd for the last 3 years or so. Comes back stinky, tired and happy as a clam every time from all the interaction. He loves to go there - darts out of the car when we get there and has to be persuaded back in the car when we pick him up. We have also found them very accommodating to our often challenging and changing schedule. Its a 30min drive and we haven't found anything comparable that would make us want to keep looking for something closer.

Lazy Dog Kennels is predominately a kennel free boarding facility. This means that as long as your dog is friendly and social with dogs that are the same size as your dog, then your dog will run and play all day with like-sized dogs. This is great for most dogs as it allows your dog free roam and not to be in a kennel all day while you are on vacation. Most dogs go home very happy and tired. However, a down fall to all kennel free boarding facilities is the risk that a dog will be injured while playing. The same is true of taking your dog to a dog park or if it is playing with your other dog in your backyard. Sometimes dogs run too fast and accidentally bite their own lips or obtain scratches from rubbing against fences. Dogs sometimes roll around with each other and get injured. The staff at Lazy Dog Kennels does everything possible to prevent injuries and to ensure that the dogs play in a safe manner. If you prefer to not risk an injury, you can always opt to have your dog individually kenneled while you are away. Lazy Dog also offers individual kenneling for all dogs that are not social or friendly with other dogs. Either way, your dog will receive lots of attention and will have a great time at Lazy Dog.
