I had two of my pets seen here for some Groupon deal and it was definitely not a very pleasant experience. It's a red flag when you ask to meet the veterinarian but they refuse to meet you and send one of their techs out to explain treatment plans. A call from the doctor would have been great so questions can be answered instead of the tech going back in to get an answer. I was informed that I would need to come back in 2-3 weeks to pick up a medication they did not have in stock but they failed to inform me my two dogs would need a 2nd dose of the vaccine. They also failed to inform me there would be an additional cost for the 2nd part. Good thing I brought both dogs to the visit since it was not just a visit to pick up the meds. At the second visit, both dogs were terrified to go in. I never had an issue with a pet not wanting to enter a facility. The techs had administer the shots outside. I won't be bringing my two dogs here in the future. There's a reason this place seems to always have availabilities while others are booked for weeks... My two dogs have since been seen at another clinic and have had no issues walking into the building.

I had an appointment at 3:00. When I arrived I called to let them know I was there. They ask if they could put me on a short hold. I said sure. 25 minutes later, as I watched a technician walk to another car, I let them know I had been waiting for 25 minutes on hold. They finally got to me and took my puppy back for shots. They said they were busy and I could go run an errand and then come back if I wanted to. I said I only live 5 minutes away and they could call me when my puppy was done. They said they couldn't do that because they had to come out and verify certain procedures with me and I had to give my okay etc etc. They had my dog in the office for over an hour. After paying what I can consider to be some pretty high prices for standard shots, I got the receipt with the follow up vaccinations recommended. Three of the vaccinations recommended were the same vaccinations that the dog had already received. They were confused as to why they reappeared at the bottom on the vaccinations due list. All in all, I sat in the parking lot for 3 hours. I'm not even sure if my puppy got the appropriate shots that he needed, so I have scheduled an appointment with another vet hospital. While the technicians were very nice and polite, they were obviously overbooked and understaffed. While I understand that during covid there's problems with staffing, they should have taken that into consideration when they were scheduling appointments. Also, that doesn't account for the three mistakes they made on the vaccinations. I will not be going back and do not recommend this place at all. I've never had a worse experience with my animals, and never leave reviews like this. However, I feel that people should be warned.

greg hardy is a very unprofessional owner. HE HIS ONLY ABOUT HIS MONEY!!! He doesn't even talk to his customer's in a respectful way. His work ethic standards scale 1 out of 10. I will never bring my business to Best Friend Pets. I never ever leave reviews but I had to this time. If you love your pets don't go here

One employee Andrea was on hard drugs when helping me with our pets. We paid for a Groupon that included vaccine and rabies and she said they received it once handing me back my pets. However I just found out yesterday, 9 months after, that my pets never got what we paid for on the Groupon just the wellness exam. THEY ARE SHADY AND THE DR SHOULD GET HIS LICENSE REVOKED

My jack russell loves it here and so do I. Booking an appointment is simple, processes are generally speedy, and Dr. Hardy is very fun loving and knowledgeable. Banfield can't compare to this family establishment. My puppy is treated with love and care, called by name and not treated like a number. The vet technicians are quite accommodating. I found out that one technician is Dr. Hardy's son and he also wishes to become a veterinarian. Very cool vet hospital.

They had my dog and I sitting in the baking heat for an hour 30 after checking in, mind you she’s a frenchie. I had to get up and leave and all she was there for was a check up.

THIS VET IS A SCAM. He is shady and lied about giving our two cats vaccines when the medical record show it was never administered. Him and his staff are unprofessional and don’t care for your pet, only the money you provide.

The employees are generally nice. My pets got the treatment they need. But overall the experience over there isn't professional. On several occasions the employees greeted me in stained sweats. I've sent multiple emails requesting documentation for my insurance and they have responded to none of those emails. I've called 3-4 times about this and they always say they're going to respond to my email, but don't. They literally told me that they're too busy for emails and that I should instead call. My claim has been denied due to lack of documentation and I have to resubmit if I believe Best Friends will actually respond to my emails.

It seemed that there was no communication between the team. They told me what treatment's were going to be given to my dog so I gave then my card. When they returned with the recipient and my card I noticed that i was over charged from the amount that I was told wich they added in the receipt an extra treatment that was not given. They made the correction however I didn't feel comfortable with the situation.

Please don’t go to this veterinarian: we made the mistake of trusting Dr. Hardy with our pet, and as a result our dog is now dead. We took Dusty in for a bilateral (2-sided) hernia that had been recommended to us, after he had emergency surgery for some bones he had gotten into. Some of the bones were still left, which was noted in the report. He had surgery for both hernias, or so we thought: they had asked us if we wanted to have him neutered while we were there, and had declined. They never explained any of the consequences or results of what would happen if we did or didn’t do that. We got him back, and about a month later noticed that there was a lump on the other side. We asked them about it, and apparently Dr. Hardy had decided, since Dusty was going to get neutered, that he would leave one hernia and do the second hernia surgery then (was meant to be on October 6th). On his last visit on October 2, our dog was returned to us having been labeled “stable” by the doctor, and after they “pushed in” the hernia that they never operated on. The Veterinarian Hospital decided that since they pushed it in, the surgery would take place on Tuesday. On Saturday morning, he started having bloody stool, which had been the case previously throughout the course of these surgeries, but he was okay. We called the animal hospital and left several urgent messages, by 12 we went there since the schedule said they were open. We never got a call back and there was no way of contacting them or a follow up place or back up plan in case of an emergency. He was calming down, when we realized he was getting very weak. We took him to an emergency clinic that evening, but by the time we got there he was gone. The vet at the clinic took the time to explain that they tried to revive him twice and was extremely apologetic and expressed his sadness for our loss.On Tuesday morning we went to the clinic to request a copy of records and to inform them that Dusty was gone. We were stoned-walled by the nurses making all kinds of excuses for not doing double hernia repair, acted shocked that we didn't get informed that only one side was done, stating that on Friday he was fine, and the worst part is was, we were there for 2 hours waiting for a copy of the records, and the doctor never came out to talk to us or to explain what happened. The nurses insisted that only the doctor had access to the records, however it seemed like he was editing the files. The notes were very sparse and did not justify a two hour wait to get them printed. It was very upsetting that the doctor was cowardly hiding behind the nurses, instead of coming out to talk to us and at least pretend he cared!

My cat's teeth were cleaned just last year by this vet and he insisted they needed to be cleaned again this year. He charges $1000 per cleaning. At that rate, it would cost over $15000 just for dental care during a cat's life.

I have always loved Best Friends, Dr. Hardy is extremely caring and always put my dog first. Unfortunately I recently had to take my dog for tests, saw a new doctor I have never seen or met before, and was told to see if there was a different infection to pay more for another test, which I did. I was told I would have the results soon. I never got a call about my dogs infection results and had to call. Was asked if her antibiotics were working, I was never given antibiotics, and then the second test was not sterile so it was inconclusive and wou have to pay all over again because it wasnt their fault. I still haven't gotten a call back from the doctor nor has my dog been given antibiotics for her infection. I will be looking, sadly for a new Vet.

Our pets (all 5 of them) have gotten excellent care there. Dr. Hardy is a very wise & caring doctor. Erica, (his assistant) is just as caring! They have reasonable prices too. Another good reason to come. I highly recommend this hospital for your loved pet.

The vet appeared and disappeared like a puff of wind and I was left with a $150+ bill for a five-minute consultation/exam. Surgery was the first choice for a minor dental problem (!), but I insisted upon antibiotics and my pet is now doing fine. I'd be careful bringing my pet here.

I always laugh when I read Google reviews that are either five stars or one star from anonymous users. And even better, one of them is affiliated with another vet. Here is my true experience with Best Friends Pet Hospital. Dr. Hardy is a very warm and compassionate vet who understands & respects the bond we have with our furry friends. They see me ASAP when my dog has an emergency. The service is good and the receptionists, who are actually vet techs, are generally friendly when they are not too busy assisting Dr. Hardy. I receive postcard reminders for shots and vaccinations, but you need to make sure their records are up to date to avoid notifications for services you opted out of or no longer need. Let's face it, like all veterinarian clinics, it is a business. Medicines must be bought, equipment maintained and techs hired. I pay a fair price for this service, and if my veterinarian is compassionate, that’s a big bonus. Dr. Hardy is genuinely passionate about animals...my animal. I only gave Best Friends Pet Hospital 4 stars in hopes that those of you will read thru the fake reviews and actually read an honest one for once. In truth, they get 5 stars from me.

I think they are probably the best that I have ever used on my 2 dogs and a cat. After getting ripped off by Dr. D for years I'm glad I found them.
