Caity B. trained my ferret for me, and I can not thank her enough!!! I was skeptical about it at first because she’s more familiar with dogs, but my ferret is now leash trained AND goes potty outside!!! My only concern is that now he barks at the mailman.... all in all Caity is the best!!!

We had a very positive experience with the Sit Means Sit dog training program. We worked with Adam and our 5 month old rescue has absorbed and learned commands and skills that will keep him safe and happy for a lifetime. We are beginning our group classes and are anticipating Randall learning and growing even more. I highly recommend this business to train your dog.

Today I picked up my dog Keiko, Caity was her primary trainer she was amazing with Keiko. I have a dog that I can enjoy and feel confident to continue her training so she can be spoiled and have a good life ahead of her.

The value of their training is excellent. Caity & Adam have taken one on one time with me & my pup to execute how to enhance training. It’s great because not only is my dog learning, but so am I. Any questions I have I can call & Nancy always picks up the phone or calls me back promptly. A big bonus are the lifetime classes. One of my favorites was taking a group class at a local brewery. Love the people here & what progress I have been experiencing this far!

I rescued my pitbull from the Contra Costa County shelter in January 2020. Being a pitbull and coming from a shelter he had some behavior issues that I needed to address. I spoke to three or four different trainers and was most impressed by Sit Means Sit. They were very professional and answered all of my questions. They were never put off by my dog being a pitbull. They believed he could one day be a good dog. He went first to Catiy for someone on one training. She said that he was doing excellent with the training and I could see a difference right away at home. I enjoy that they make the training very simple so I am able to reinforce it at home which with a stubborn pitbull is necessary. The Group classes were where he was able to really flourish. In the beginning I had trouble keeping him on his place board. Within less than a year he has a completely different dog and no longer jumped off his place bored at other dogs. Caity and the staff at Sit Means Sit were very willing to work with him to make this possible. I am so grateful to all of them for helping me turn a scared, aggressive, shelter dog into the loving, calm, boy that I have today.

Loved the experience I had at Sit Means Sit-Modesto. It is definitely not cheap, but my dog is a totally different dog now. The trainers here work with you and your dog, and truly help you with exactly what your dog needs! I have so much more confidence taking my dog into public, knowing that I have control and my dog knows what to do. I will continue to do business here!

I am very impressed with how professional and skilled the Sit Means Sit staff are. My standard poodle puppy, Whitty, has shown noticeable behavioral improvements since signing up for the boot camp and subsequent group classes. We have been working closely with Caity who is an expert dog trainer and very knowledgeable about what she does. The energy she brings to every lesson is truly impressive and her love for animals is very evident.

We’ve been lifetime members of Sit Means Sit for almost 2 years and we LOVE it here! We have an Australian shepherd with anxiety and she did the 2 week board and train. Trainer Caity has been working with our dog Oakley since she was 4 months olds and we love her to pieces! We are currently doing private day train sessions with our mini Australian shepherd and that is working out great! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Adam, the owner is passionate about his business and it shows. We highly recommend the lifetime membership. ❤️????

My dog is almost 8. Other places laughed at me for trying to get her to listen better and wanting training since she was older. My dog went for two weeks. She is paying attention and listening! For a husky it’s a hard thing to do. I’m so happy! Thank you guys! Thanks Caity!

Adam and his team are the best. Adam initially trained my husky and they are my go to when I need a sitter. This time around staying with sit means sit Caity did an excellent job brushing up my husky’s training and giving my mother a quick brush up on how to handle him.

Adam and his team at a Sit Means Sit worked with us for dog training and continue to provide boarding services. They did a great job with our dog’s behavior and obedience, and every time she is picked up for boarding she is happy to jump in their car for time with Sit Means Sit. They care about the animals they train. Adam is always friendly and responsive when we have a question or need.

We sent three of our dogs to Sit Means Sit. Caity was really great with our dogs and made herself available for any questions or issue corrections that we needed. We had to bring Skye back for a new behavioral issue and she worked with us and Skye to move past it. Skye is now the BEST behaved dog, and listens without a collar. Thanks so much Caity, you have been so great!

We rescued 2 sibling pups almost 4 years ago. After a DNA test, we found out they are half German Shepard and half Staffordshire Terrier (both considered aggressive breeds). We have 3 children and I was concerned for their well being if these pups were not properly trained. At 9 months, they were picked up by Adam and returned to us 3 weeks later. It was not an overnight miracle because my husband, myself and my kids needed to learn how to train/work them the way Sit Means Sit did/does. I would say after a few weeks of being consistent with the collars and using the same commands they were taught, it was a night and day change. Fast forward to now...their training was priceless. They can be walked off leash among crowds of people. We all play outside as a family not having to worry about my dogs taking off, or having other people or other animals around. We do not go to dog parks, only because I cannot control the other dogs. I have 100% confidence in being able to control my dogs. I also have 100% confidence in my 8, 13 and 15 year old being able to control my dogs. The added benefit to all of this is the boarding! I never have to worry about who is going to take care of the my dogs when we go on vacation. I wish I had a video of how excited my dogs get when the red Sit Means Sit van pulls up. They are more excited to see that van and the trainers than they ever are to see our family. They happily jump into their crates to be boarded for however long I need. They are returned exhausted, happy and clean! I really could not have asked for better situation. I highly recommend Sit Means Sit - Modesto. All of my future dogs will be trained there.

My cane corso Leo 3 years old was definitely in need of some professional training. Before I sent him for his three week board and train I wasn’t even able to take him for walks without him dragging me down the street. My son Who is four years old can walk him on a loose leash with no problem. I can’t express how grateful I am for Caity, she worked with Leo and he came home a completely different dog well mannered no jumping he knows his commands. I can walk him with distractions and of course he’s not perfect but I give a command and he listens. Highly recommend. ????

Absolutely love this place! I was very skeptical at first but I am so glad we decided to go with Sit Means Sit. Everyone is very helpful and kind. Selena is AMAZING!! She helped and my boyfriend out so much with constantly communicating with us and sending up daily or weekly updates of training. Also from my understanding she was the person that worked with our dog the most and you can tell they created a cute little bond ????! Me and my boyfriend fell in love with this place so much that we still visit and have play dates with a few of the trainers dogs. Our dogs training is FANTASTIC. She listens so much better and had definitely matured while in training. I will forever be grateful for this place !!

I would like to thank Adam, Caity, Hilario, and everyone at Sit Means Sit who helped train my five month old Belgian Malinois puppy (Apollo). It is unbelievable how much he has improved in the short amount of time they have worked with him. Apollo use to react to everything on walks and pulled on the leash a lot. However, I am now able to walk Apollo without him reacting to every distraction and without the leash. I recently started taking him to group classes. The classes are fun and are a great way for Apollo to work around other dogs and improve his obedience. Caity does a great job of having different games/ training exercises to keep things interesting. I would recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who is looking for help to train their dog. The staff are friendly and they all work together to provide the best experience for you and your dog.

I love the team at Sit Means Sit! My dog participated in the board and train for 3 weeks. Sit Means Sit communicated often with videos and pictures on my dog’s progress. My pitbull/boxer was a changed dog when she got home! Sit Means Sit still stays in touch and offers refresher courses to keep my dogs skills polished. They set the bar high for dog sitters moving forward. I only trust the Modesto team with my Marley now. ???? ????

I brought my Australian Shepherd puppy to Adam and the Sit means Sit team for a 2 week board and train. They were great and took great care of my beloved puppy. He came home a well behaved pup. They teach you the methods and arm you with the tools to further their training and reinforce the behaviors you want out of them. They did a great job of sending progress videos and narrating how he was responding to the training. I would recommend Sit means sit to anyone who is looking for a well behaved 4 legged family member. Thank You Adam and the team for helping me with Kobe!!

My two labs love Sit Means Sit! They’ve both gone through the board and train program and we’ve been boarding them there for the last 4 years. Adam is awesome and the staff is amazing! Selena spoils our pups as if they are her own. One of our pups has cancer and they’ve been extremely accommodating with his meds and extra care since he was diagnosed. I love that they pick up and drop off in the East Bay which makes it super easy and my dogs are always excited to see the Sit Means Sit van drive up in front of our house. Adam is super responsive and really seems to care about his dog clients. I highly recommend them!
