Westside Animal Hospital Newman, California

Im truly disappointed. Ive been going to Suzi for 20 years and have referred so many people to Westside. I didnt want to write the review but felt it was necessary. Its easy to like your vet when they are happy for your service.glad you showed up on time and willing to wait and paid the bill even though you thought it was a little high. Why wouldnt your Vet be thrilled to see you so the overall interaction is positive. But when you call without an appointment because you have a 4 week old stray kitten that needs to be taken out of pain and euthanized well. all of a sudden you are not the perfect client and when they tell you they cant see you on a Friday because thay dont have any openings  basically saying the kitten will just have to suffer. THis is when you really get to rate your Vet And Im sorry to say that she is no longer my vet and I will never refer her to anyone ever again A quick injection was all that was required (the time it has taken me to talk her and her practice up znd give a glowing referall) but instead this kitten will suffer all weekend and I will suffer watching it suffer. So in the end the Vet I have been going to on and off for 20 years and raved about  doesnt care about me or my animals. Am I being over emotional and  taking this too personal? Your dam right I am. our pets are  members of our family. Its very personal. Anyone can be a hero when its convenient.A true Hero rises above when its not.

This was a very sad experience for me, having to put my 20 yr old rescued dog down, but they were unbelievably compassionate and are my favorite community vet. Thank you for your kindness and understanding. God bless you all.

Excellent care of my elderly girl. Exam was very thorough. Kind, compassionate staff. Very pleased as I have been with Westside for over 10 years. Lucy and I are happy.

Very nice facility. We took 5 abandon 3 week old kittens in and they told what we needed to know to help them survive and treated them for fleas. It was only $35 for everything. Plus they waited for us to get there because it was ready to close when we called. Amazing service. They don't do exotic animals or reptiles just your standard cats and dogs. I am not sure if they work with farm animals either it's a small town vet's office. For covid 19, you must wait outside or at least we had to, that could have been for after hours but I am sure it's due to the covid 19.

Dr Suzy is a great doctor, but they are very busy so you may need to remind/follow up with them if you have additional requests beyond the services rendered.

I love this vet and trust them with my dog. I live that they have large windows all over so that you don't feel claustrophobic or forgotten about. The doctor gives you her undivided attention every single time. It's run by 1 doctor, not muliti-doctors. She will be straight forward with you about what you need or don't need. I live an hour away and I still make the trip back because I trust her word above all others.

I have never been so happy with a vet before. I absolutley love Dr. Sullivan and Kelly (her other staff members a great to) I always walk out happy and confident with the care given to my fur babies. Dr. Sullivan is very thorough and explains everything I like how open her office is and how she includes the pet owners in the care shes giving. I just started taking my 3 pets to westside and I will not be going anywhere else ever again. Westside has amazing staff and great prices, I recommend westside to everyone!

The Westside Animal Hospital provided a great experience for both my pets and me. The business is clean and the staff are friendly and make your pets feel welcome. Westside Animal Hospital is my new vet for all my pet services. They had all their shots, neutering, and microchips done with Dr. Sullivan. I would recommend my friends to come here.

The vet is nice. The office smells like pee. I mean really strong pee. Not sanitary but cost wasresonable. I would be willing to pay a little more if it didnt smell so bad.

Might be getting a new vet

Staff are very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable! They were very understanding and sympathetic when we had to make the difficult decision to put our kitten to sleep.

The doctor and staff are so nice.

Dr. Solvin is amazing. The time and patience she has for each one of her patients shows how caring she is. I never seen anyone give a dog a shot the way she did. My dog was comfortable with her and loved her.

When I went to get my cat neautered, I told them that my cat had an upper respiratory infection. They promptly ignored me, and dismissed me, and the vet went along her hurried way. Last night he died of that upper respiratory infection in my arms, and the look of pain and in fear in his eyes is something I'll never be able to forget. Perhaps next time, take a little more time. You were a very efficient clinic, your techs were kind and obviously compassionate to animals. But perhaps you, the vet, should consider slowing down and listening, and acting on what is being said. RIP Sunny. You were a good cat. You deserved better from me.
