Unfortunately they couldn’t help us about our Nighboor dog which his pee dropped from balcony to our porch . However they give him notice but nothing changed

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They failed a dog and and there family. Today I saw a dog in the median who had been hit by a car and passed away sadly. They said that they were going to have somebody come pick them up within a few minutes. Unfortunately there wasn’t a tag or any identification. I posted on Facebook about the sighting and unfortunately the family had to recover him two hours later still in the median. How sad and beyond acceptable. No animals that have to lye there and continue to wait ours an hours for a no-show.

A huge thank you to the staff at Mission Viejo Animal Shelter, They took such good care of our baby girl MaryJane when we came with a very hard situation.. They did everything they could to help us & brought us back together with our baby. Even when we thought we had no more hope they continued to reassure us. So a HUGE thank you to each and every single person that helped us and the ones who helped with taking care of our baby during that time. Mary Jane is truly loved & appreciates each one of you ,as so do we . Damian and Vanessa

Great place! Staff is really nice, and friendly. I adopted 2 kittens and they gave me a great deal. It didn't cost me much at all to adopt, especially with the promotion they were offering for the month. Definitely would recommend coming here. ????

We've lived here fours years, never heard a large dog dog howl and cry for four hours during daytime hours, street behind us. Call emergency services and officer Rodríguez explains they're busy on emergency calls and I need to "figure out" the address

Currently the lobby is closed but you can still conduct business over the phone/email. Friendly staff!!

We only went here once to put our dog down, and can’t say how grateful we are to everyone. We arrived at 4:30am and the staff was friendly and sweet during such a painful time for us. It makes a big difference when making such a necessary but heartbreaking decision. The follow up card was unexpected yet so appreciated. We miss our sweet boy but having those final minutes go so peacefully puts our hearts at ease.

The staff and volunteers are amazing here. All of them are so kind and understanding. It is nice to see a small shelter in the neighborhood that takes such good care of the dogs and cats who are temporarily living there.

This is the 3rd pet we have adopted from MV animal services. Nice staff, Easy process and love rescuing pets!

AVAILABLE late night emergencies. Will not let you into clinic. Outside checkin. You wait in car for about 3 Hours before return animal depending on how many Serious emergencies. You dont talk to vet accept by phone at check out. Very expensive. Something like $125.00 for exam w/o labs. Very thorough printed exam notes and F/U with Bill. Good Luck.. .wish I had waited till morning for potential UTI? Wait until they scream (cat) I didn't and 145.00 to find out normal!

My cat died the other day and took it to MVAS and they were very compassionate and just very nice people!!! Thank you MVAS for everything!!!!!

I adopted two wonderful little kitties from here, and the shelter was beyond wonderful. They were so, so fast to respond to me, and they even gave me a call to go over my application. After the app was approved, I had my new little kitties home the next day. I had been emailing rescue after rescue to adopt a pair of kittens, and the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter was the only location in a week and a half of mailing to get back to me. I appreciate them so much, thank you for helping me adopt two kittens<3 I'm looking forward to a long and wonderful life with them!

I like t see the dogs there

My dog was quarantined for a minor bite due to stressors at home. No officers called to let me know he was being taken. No consent was given. No explanations of fees or general conversation was had. I was put on hold and hung up on. My dog came back filthy and anxious due to a lack of contact and excersise. Rules and regulations on these kinds of issues need to be thoroughly revised. Animal Services as well as the dog liscensig scheme is a way to scam people out of money rather than helping animals or their owners during hardships. In addition to these grievences I also noticed my dogs paperwork was incorrect. The employees here barely know how to classify a dogs breed. This can cause issues in apartment and tenant regulations. Please be cautious of "services" being offered without consent.

Worst system with unprofessional staff.

Staff is friendly and welcoming, and all the furbabies (cats,dogs,and much more) are so cute. It makes my heart hurt to here them cry for attention and to see them wag their tails in hopes of finding a new family,but I know they're in good hands

We had a wonderful experience adopting Mason (now Max). He's a awesome dog and fun addition to our family. The staff at MVASC were super friendly and easy to work with. They answered all of our questions and slowly walked us through the adoption process.

We went to see about adopting a cat. They have an awesome, friendly staff. Lots of cats out of cages in play rooms
