Beware of the Emergency Department here, my dog is now permanently disabled due to their negligence and I have the records to prove it. I wish I had read all the reviews prior to taking my dog here because the negative ones all align with the type of shady experience I had at Brightcare emergency, with our particular situation being very severe. Since my dog had seen their neurologist in the past, I quickly decided to bring my dog to their emergency department when my dog starting vomiting and was unwell, since we were already familiar with facility. What followed was 2-3 weeks of mismanagement, exorbitant fees and anguish for our dog and my family. My dog was misdiagnosed with an incorrect gastrointestinal condition and they missed an actual obstruction, that should have been found immediately. They didn’t follow the proper procedure to find it so a prolonged hospitalization and the near death of my dog resulted. After many days into her hospitalization and fees, I became suspicious and demanded the appropriate imaging. It was then found, but too little too late and had severely damages her insides which required an extensive life altering surgery that could have been avoided had they followed proper standards of care. There were 3 veterinarians on her case and all three made documented mistakes throughout her hospitalization. And the kicker is that to our surprise after spending SO many days and ridiculous amounts of money at Brightcare they didn’t even remove all of the obstruction properly. So a week later I had to take her to another vet to actually finish the job properly so that she could have some semblance of a life going forward. After seeing a few other vets /specialists to deal with her aftercare I have found out that this facility does not have a good reputation in the community. I am writing this to help anyone considering taking their pet there as warning to stay way so you can avoid any harm and heartache, not to mention a stress on your finances.

Unlike other vets during this stage of CoVid, we never got to see the doc. It was just a phone call sitting on a bench. And he was only interested in surgical interventions. For $140. I'm only reviewing because I got a text from the practice requesting my opinion. Be careful what you ask for. EDIT. Please check out the other 1 star reviews...they’re almost unanimous that this practice cares more about $$$ than they do about our pets.

Dr. Gorgi saved my 2 year old Shitzus life a few months ago. He had a cyst in his head. I can't live without my little buddy. I'm so grateful. It was a stressful 2 weeks with my puppy away from his family. I called 2 times per day for updates and the staff was awesome. Even had a few visits. My dog is back to his normal self. Thank you Dr. Gorgi and thank you Jesus. I was praying every night.

It is always a stressful situation when you bring your pet to the emergency room. All at BrightCare Veterinary Group were amazing at answering our questions and never making us feel like we were bothering them. The doctor was always available to answer our questions and took the time to explain all the details we needed. I highly recommend them for you urgent needs.

We had a great experience at BrightCare Veterinary Group when our dog was sick and not eating. They diagnosed the problem right away, and were quick about getting her into care. The main reason I'm posting this review is that the staff understood how worried I was and sent me a few photo updates of my pup while she was in their care. They also have a specific number on their phone service that you can press for an update on your pet. Those two things felt above and beyond to me, and they were very appreciated. Thank you so much, BrightCare staff!

Absolutely terrible. The front desk women was dismissive and rude. They wouldn't let us enter the facility and had to wait an hour just to speak to a doctor. She tried to cut our puppies nails after we told her we didn't want that done. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and highly recommend driving the 5 minutes down the road to another emergency. The doctor was so unprofessional and wouldn't come see us outside their practice. I was startled by their service and upset at how badly they handled our matter. Completely undermined the seriousness of our issue. I wish I had an option to give them no stars. They should have paid us for the trouble they gave us.

BrightCare was very supportive throughout my dog's emergency and extremely supportive until his passing. Communication throughout was very good; I was able to receive a detailed update each time I called at all hours even throughout the night. The staff was very caring throughout the process, and I felt comfortable leaving my dog with them overnight. My visit to BrightCare was for the first time due to my dog's emergency situation; they were fully equipped for my dog's needs, and I felt I made the right decision bringing him there. I recommend this place for your pet's emergencies; of course always do your research and look into recommended treatments in detail before making a decision. Thank you BrightCare team for your caring efforts!

Getting a neurology appointment for my dog was impossible. I live in LA and called folks as far away as Northern California & Omaha, Nebraska -- I was willing to go wherever someone would take me when my pup got sick. BrightCare was the only place I called that seemed to genuinely care about us and got us in quickly. While my pup's brain tumor was sadly terminal (aggressively so), BrightCare provided compassionate care, and excellent treatment to help us quickly diagnose the tumor and provide comfort for my pup while I navigated the hardest time of my life. Things don't always work out the way you want them to, and it's good to have caring folks around you to help you do your best.

One of the worst experiences of my life. My dog couldn’t walk I had to have him transported in a pet ambulance. We couldn’t go in the vet asst came out with the bill of $1700. I let her know that I could pay a portion of it that night at least to get him comfortable. She took 2 hrs to get back to me I paid $700 so the vet could treat him. It was very very clear and on the bill. Come to find out they didn’t do anything. He was there for 5 hours before they administered pain meds. I felt so hopeless. Knowing my dog was suffering the entire time. Then the vet contacted me and said he needed an mri and surgery with a 50% chance of recovery and it’s $3500. They still had done one thing listed on the bill. And they refused treatment and said we needed to get him before noon. I had to have him transported by ambulance again and they wouldn’t release him unless I paid the full amount. In the end I had to have him put down. This was 2 days by the time I got him to a veterinarian that really cares she said the damage to his hip was bad and all the moving and not getting treatment from BrighhtCare for the 12 hrs he was there could’ve contributed but it didn’t help him. I’ve never dealt with anything so unethical in fact cruel that’s meant to give hope. This place they did not care, they withheld treatment intentionally from my dog and they still were paid. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE. This happened a few mos ago and I am still grieving because I don’t know if I had taken my dog somewhere else would it of turned out differently. I’ll never know.

TLDR: Kept my dog for 30 hours for an upset stomach, charged $3,000. Refunded $250 after disputing the bill. Lots of tests, some questionable. Kept my dog in ER at least 12 hours longer than necessary. Ran 2nd unnecessary X-ray. The business is set up to take advantage of you. Our dog was fine after being re-hydrated, but we felt ripped off. Avoid at all costs.

Brightcare was the only Neuorology practice to take my dachshund for emergency IVDD surgery. I had to travel from the San Fernando Valley all the way to Mission Viejo. The staff there are absolutely wonderful. The nursing staff was so patient with me and spoiled my princess. The surgery went perfectly. She is walking and running again. Thank you for taking care of Liesel the Weasel.

Overcharging, unexpected fees, won’t let you in with your pet.. they made us wait in our car and refused to let us even in the waiting room. They tried to keep our dog extra days because the doctor was off on weekends and couldn’t clear her to leave. They called and said my dog “needed” a follow up appointment 2 months after a surgery she had recovered fine from. They insisted on how mandatory it was, then they surprised me with a $300 bill for an unnecessary urology test. They irritated so much I actually blocked their number from my phone.

Took our dog here because he was having some issues and appeared in pain and regular doctor couldn't fit him in. He went in at 10:30 am and we didn't get a call from doctor until 7:30 pm regarding status. It was also $1000 for all the test which yielded nothing, so they sent us home with pain medication and doctor says go see neurologist the next day. After $140, neurologist says do MRI's and a bunch of other tests. Sorry, I don't have $10,000 to give you to do more tests that don't tell me jack. Would not go here unless it's life and death but really feel like we just got played for a large bill with no results. Horrible. Avoid if you can.

Labor Day weekend has begun & our 5 mo. old Pom had a fall. We're out of towner's & thank goodness we found BrightCare, open 24hours. Our baby is still in a lot of pain, but it was managed well & expeditiously. I feel confident in the care he received, find the recommended follow-up recommendations integrious, & considering it was a midnight visit, the cost of services extremely reasonable. We couldn't be more grateful or hopeful for our boys speedy recovery. What kind ladies at BrightCare!

I would like to thank Dr. Haghnazary, Dr. Babbua, and the whole BrightCare staff for taking care of my baby, Sebastian. Every time I called for updates on my kitty, Dr. Haghnazary and Dr. Babbua always made time to talk to me, and they even called me to update me. I am so grateful for this place and I would definitely refer my friends here for emergencies. Thank you again BrightCare! You guys are amazing and I appreciate all that you do ????

I walk in and I ask how much is a normal visit and they said it all depends on the surgery your dog needs, so you haven't even visited him yet and they are talking surgery? To start was 2,300 dollars in testing to determine what surgery he needs. Money hungry dishonest people, I just left then the girl says you owe us 98 dollars for the visit, I just kept walking

Ok for an emergency, but I'll go to Animal Urgent Care or Blue Pearl in the future. We were discharged without being provided any records (the other ER's usually provide a flash drive of images), and the records weren't sent to our regular …

Do not take your pet here. They put my dog through hell just so they could squeeze a few extra thousand dollars out of me. Ultimately I had to put her down at another vet clinic but not before this place tortured her.

I just want to say how amazing this place is. My cat knocked over my wax warmer and it got all over his side so I had to take him to an emergency animal hospital to make sure he didn't get burned or any in his eye. At first I went to another one in San Juan and they made me wait outside and didn't even seem to care, so then I decided to find another place instead and I found Brightcare on google. I called beforehand and they said to come in and they took him in right away. The front desk lady was so professional and helpful. Her name is Brittney. The price was good and they really seemed to care about my cat and his wellbeing as well as mine. Thank you guys and keep up the great work! Also, it's a very beautiful and clean place.

We had an emergency at 1:00 a.m. and MV pet hospital was chaos. we were blessed to find Bright Care. Jennifer was so kind and gentle with our little guy. Dr. Ali was kind professional and very informative. We could not have asked for better care for Puppy (that's his name :) )

This place is extremely overpriced, my dog broke her paw and we went there because it was the weekend and we could not find another place that did not need an appointment. Just to diagnose her it was $1041. To put the cast they charged $1554 dollars. They told us she needed surgery and it could cost $10,000. The staff was also very rude and obnoxious. They charged money to even put a plastic around the splint. They charged $128 for the initial IV set up. The overnight stay was $223 but when we decided to go to another place they only charged $40 and the surgery there was $2,148. Less than what we paid for a cast and a diagnosis. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This place is awful. Avoid if you can. All the negative reviews are true in my experience.

We were charged thousands of dollars with no explanation of where our money went. I asked for an itemized bill of everything that they charged for 2 of my dogs and they would not provide it to me. I have conflicting amounts and invoices stating that I have credit but they're stating I don't. The financial manager is avoiding my calls and they're having doctors assistants trying to explain billing when that's not their dept with no explanation of why I have invoices saying I have credit and multiple other invoices with conflicting amounts. Also, they kept pushing for more money from us for "treatment" before resolving the previous billing discrepancies. They are not accommodating, the different vet drs have conflicting orders and treatment plans, they are never on the same page with absolutely everything. This is the worst place I have every taken my dogs to. Their policies are not on the invoices that you are signing so they decide when to apply their "policies" whenever they want and overcharge you for almost everything. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! There are multiple reports of billing issues, fraud, and overcharging items that were not received. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!

Very negative experience. I believe this establishment takes advantage of the late night hours when vet clinics are closed to overcharge desperate pet owners. If you can wait until morning people, please do!
