I would definitely recommend AVMC . Their staffs are very helpful and kind most esp. Patty she was able to accommodate and made an appointment for Honu the same day. Shes very patience to talk to me over the phone prior to Honus app. I would highly recommend this place and surely will stay here for our dogs well care. Thank u AVMC Honu was able to sleep the whole night and a happy dog this morning !!! ????

They don't return calls or follow up on appointment request. Must be very busy. If you're a new pet owner look somewhere else for a less busy place

Nicest staff, great service, and professional help.

Don't take your cats here. This place did full blood work on my cat and could not conclusively find out what was wrong. They even suggested going to another place yet they charge me for their negligence.

While dog sitting for a relative, the dog slashed her paw and needed stitches. Finally got her stitched up after driving to an emergency vet hospital and waiting for 12 hours. Impossible to get a followup appointment anywhere until I called Advanced Veterinary Medical Center in Milpitas. A human answered the phone within seconds. I explained my dilemma and they made time for me to bring the dog in for a follow-up visit. Brought her back again for a bandage change. No problem getting my call answered and getting in for an appointment. So grateful they could help! They were courteous, reasonably priced and followed up with excellent advice and information. Even though the relative is home now, I'm bringing the dog back to have the stitches removed. If I had a pet, I would bring them here. Worth the drive! (I love in Redwood City).

Don't go anywhere else! All staff are professionals and friendly. I have taken all of my 4 cats for exams ever since my first emergency walk-in. Now they're all grown up

Great vet they had a good lower cost surgeon for my 12 yr dog Hailey's knee surgery and I was so relieved I'd be able to afford the surgery she needed. Hailey is fully recovered and playful like she hasn't been in years!

Kelly was very helpful and professional. She was good about doing her best to explain what could have happened. First time at the vet, I was advised by other customers waiting outside to "check your billing and they try to sell you what is not medically necessary." Two different customers warned me and boom, I fell right into paying for what was not properly explained to me. All of this was explained as "covid related and not being "able to take the time to go through the necessary steps as they normally would pre-covid, no restrictions." I'm not sure how that is relevant when asked why was not told to return my pet within 4 weeks to get the follow up shots...so they tried to charge me again...and some poop analysis that was not required. I asked when they sold it to me if I can get a refund for that after insisting on the breakdown, itemized. I was told NO, I already bought it but only a empty plastic container was shared with me so a refund WAS indeed possible....maybe lack of training, maybe short staffed? Either way, mgmt refused to do the right thing here and now lost me as a customer and my family member. I advise future customers to watch their billing...do not pay for a "puppy package" just because you have an expensive dog or they hard sell you on why it is necessary when it is not. They mentioned a information sheet is shared on what to expect on required shots and pricing but they "forgot" to give it to me. They still wouldn't do the right thing and not charge me again for shots we have to return for on another date. Staff is friendly and nice to animals but business is run unprofessionally and making their people on the ground deal with situations they cannot resolve without their approval. It would have gone a long way JUST to hear from a manager. Lastly, my cell phone number was "wrong in the system" and therefore could not reach me. Strange since they did successfully call me several times prior when it was pertaining to getting my money for appointment or calling me to pick up my dog. I would be cautious on bad business practices and over charging customers with no oversight and apology. They don't seem to care about losing business because they have a rating that is inflated. Customers beware!

Dr. Thalia Rashid and her staff are kind, professional, and truly went out of their way to make my dog and I comfortable. My 9 year old dog had an ear infection that needed immediate medical attention. Dr. Thalia and her staff quickly responded to my call and fit my very anxious dog into their schedule. The entire process from the initial phone call, to dropping off and picking up my fur baby was efficient, quick and painless. Both Dr. Thalia as well as the vet tech called me to let me what was going on with my dog and the next steps that needed to happen to clear his infection. I am so impressed with Advanced Veterinary Medical Center (AVMC)and the great team they have there. They took such great care of my pet and really helped me to feel at ease. I highly recommend AVMC.

Most employees are friendly and helpful (there is one vet tech there who is SO rude - the rest of them are sweet) and the doctors were always willing to listen, work with us and even help us get our pet cared for from a distance after we moved during the pandemic! The only issue aside from the aforementioned is how busy they are. They seem to have time to support and appointments to schedule, but the phone holds are forever and the office often seems chaotic. Again the care is great. It just seems like they need more people!

The Vets are great but the customer service is terrible. I really don't know what happened to them. They used to be really kind. The owner (at least, i think he is) a chubby guy, treats customers like nuisances. You'd think they'd want to be nicer since they are so over priced. Definitely not going back there.

They’re great!!!! Staff is super kind and they’ve accommodated us twice with a very short notice. They’ve taken great care of both our two pups. Waiting time has been longer than expected both times we’ve been there, but it’s understandable since their service to our pets is great and staff is extremely friendly!

Pricing is a bit too flexible at this place. We got one amount quoted for spaying but it nearly doubled on the day of the surgery, then it got reduced a little after some arguments, and finally we were billed a fourth amount after the surgery. The spaying surgery itself didn’t go very well. The wound just wouldn’t close for three weeks. They repeatedly assured us that everything was fine. We finally took our puppy to a new vet whose first question was if she’s a shelter dog because the materials used for her spaying appear to be of very low quality. The dissolvable sutures under the skin are refusing to dissolve properly because AVMC uses cheap materials. Our puppy will probably need another surgery to fix the wound but we will know for sure a month from now. If you buy the puppy package, make sure you save all the details because you will later have to fight for every single item on the list. Additional star because Dr. Thalia Rashid is good and seems to be a decent person. She never followed up on the spaying surgery, though, which should have been a red flag.

I couldn't be any happier to have gone here for my first pet ever! I got Nala (my dog) on Thursday and she's 5 months with no vaccines and hadn't been groomed before. She is a Havanese mix so she has lots of hair! She is very territorial and protective and that made it difficult to have a smooth 1st vet appointment! I got the puppy package and that includes all the core vaccinations and an overall consult approx $230. Since she hasn't gotten any vaccines before she was super anxious about meeting new doggy's and people but the staff made it worth all the emotional stress we had gon through for her first ever visit! Special thanks to the nurse that took her initially! She was patient and sweet I feel horrible I forgot her name! But also James before hand I called the morning of and he was super informative and checked in with us with every step of the examination. We weren't able to be in there with Nala due to the covid situation but it went smoothly bc of the staff! I had my sister drop off the fecal test to the clinic today and they totally remembered who our girl was! Lolol you can tell that the visit was interesting with lots of emotions and pretty much anything that would make a visit remarkable LOL (including complications such as getting your pet in) which in this case was totally relatable! I'm just glad that someone reached out to me through yelp when I sent out a massive consult inquiry in multiple vets in my area. I can always relay on Yelp! And also the businesses that are actively using yelp to provide information. We are going back on the 8th! Wish us luck that Nala won't raise hell for her 2nd vaccination series of DHPP!!

I love this veterinary center. Everyone is so friendly. They are clean. Very Professional. They take such good care of my puppy Jordan with all his vet needs. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My usually grumpy old fur-man baby needs a muzzle till he gets use to you. Not this time. He let them clip his nails and all sorts without a muzzle.

I was looking for a vet who could refill a prescription for my princess on a Saturday. I spoke with Nick who was super nice and helpful and he squeezed me in for an appointment on Monday. Patricia and James were super nice too. Both were friendly and helpful. Dr. Talia was the one who checked out my girl and I must say I love her already. We discussed my girl's symptoms. She's 13 and on a lot of meds. I didn't feel rushed during our conversation and she really cared about the dosage of the meds my girl is taking. I really felt like she cared and will bring my girl back again. We found our new doctor. ☺️

The staff is very Professional, reliable, and Caring, they work with you schedule. In my case I have 2 doggies 1 of them it's Not easy to work with. Doctor and the staff were very patience and caring. They really took good care of my litlleones. Thanks a lot for an Excellent Service.

This review is LONG OVERDUE! I have a 2 year old Pitbull, named Blu, who became the apple of our eyes, we wanted the absolute best for her. I originally found AVMC on yelp, made my appt through yelp & received a call to confirm and get more information on my dog. The first visit she needed Xrays and a few shots, they took care of that for less of a price than her original vet location. The second visit was more of an emergency visit, our dog had been excessively drooling, vomiting, etc.. they were able to find an opening and see her since she had an upcoming surgery with AVMC as well. When I dropped Blu off, I knew she was in good hands. She stayed 2 days 1 night at their facility & came out like her good old self <3 the team at AVMC, from the vets, assistants & Front desk were phenomenal! They kept us updated every few hours, they worked the best they could with my budget & they gave me visiting hours. I’m so glad I found such a caring and devoted team! I know no one else would have saved my dogs life like they did, but they truly care about each of their patients. And even Blu agrees, she loves the whole team at AVMC. I highly recommend this Veterinary facility to everyone and anyone who wants their fur babies in great hands!
