Only vet in a 10 mil radius that called back thank you. Chrystal. After arriving the staff was very friendly and welcoming I felt like I belonged. The service was like a concierge world class service. Very clean, and on top of their game. I highly recommend Muir Oaks Vet. To all.. thank you, Crystal, jasmine, margarita, johnathan, Sam, and of course Dr. Jamison.. Thank you Jade “puppy” and Christina Momma

I only bring my pets here when it's time to put them down. And after being put on hold 4x I made an apt elsewhere for that now too...1st call I called I was put on hold for over 6 min then they pick up like they are answering for the first time and they say can you hold. I say I've Ben on hold they say sorry hold please. I wait then hang up. Later I call back same fn thing. Unbelievable. Do they realize everytime someone hangs up they loose buis This is the most dysfunctional vet . The horror stories coming from this place over the years. The crazy lady vet. The bad boarding practices give this location to someone who values not only our community but but it's pets..

My son's beloved greyhound, April, was hours away from passing (or so it appeared to me). Her usually slim belly was bulging out both sides with what turned out to be an 8.25 lb massive tumor that took up 90% of her abdominal cavity. She wasn't eating, since her stomach was getting squished. Her usual high-spirited, fun-loving, happy self could barely move. Her muscular legs looked slack. She had lost so much weight, her bones were sticking out. The mass had grown within weeks! Thank God for Drs. Herder and Jimison and their staff. As April's grandmum, I got to know them during pre- and post-surgery visits. The grass doesn't grow under anyone's feet there. They run a brisk business, are well organized, professional, tech-savvy, and, most of all, friendly, kind, and love all God's creatures that walk or are carried in. April sensed that and did not hesitate to go in. She loves Jonathan (who is in training to be a vet). I am forgetting the names of all the wonderful staff I met there, but am grateful for every one! Muir Oaks is conveniently located around the corner and up a short hill from highway 4. It's a shining oasis, with a wide driveway and parking spots and a patch of lawn in front for dogs to sniff and do their business. The building and lobby are beautifully decorated, gorgeous, comfortable, clean, and spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of light from several windows. It was a miracle that someone cancelled and April was able to have surgery the day after Dr. Jimison and their staff spent the day saving a pup's life. One of their staff had tears in her eyes as she described their efforts. My son and I learned later that he had given up his vacation for April. I am attaching some of my favorite photos but will spare you the bloody one of the massive tumor Drs. Herder and Jimison removed during a 6-hour operation (posted on their Instagram account -- @muiroaksveterinaryhospital). As someone with very high standards, I usually do a great deal of research before choosing a service provider that I think will meet my needs. This decision was my son's call, since April is his pup. Muir Oaks exceeded my expectations, with flying colors! I highly recommend them. They saved her life!

Muir Oaks is always so nice and caring. They show genuine interest in my dogs health and are clearly well educated. Could not recommend a better vet.

Dr. Jimison is wonderful, as is Dr. Herder. You can see and feel the love they have for animals. Dr. Jimison’s gentle approach with pets is refreshing and Dr. Herder’s passion for her patients is inspiring. I have seen them both in action and fully trust their abilities and knowledge. Muir Oaks is a beautiful facility and I think that being AAHA accredited is amazing as well. The level of patient care is excellent. I highly recommend!

My review is based on Dr Herder and staff. Initially I brought my sick Tabby cat here in October 2020- she was very sick and Dr Herder urged us to bring her ASAP. Sadly, my sweet girl passed away. Not due to anything caused by this hospital; but Dr Herder took GREAT CARE and so much time to explain what she felt went sour with my babe, even as I cried hysterically over the phone. I still appreciate all of her efforts to THIS day, a month after my cat passed she sent a very sweet card and a packet of seedlings to plant “forget me not” flowers in my garden. And many many months later we found that she donated to the Davis research vet clinics in honor of our departed girl. After the passing of one cat we brought in our second cat to be seen by Dr Herder and she was phenomenal with her. Additionally I have a 3 yr old Chiweenie (who is yet to visit Dr. H) and my newest addition a 16 week Doberman puppy who is receiving care from Dr H- we travel all the way from Sacramento to see her. I trust her with my pets 100% and as long as it’s sustainable for us to see her we will. I know she is honest and kind and will give them the best care! Some reviews on the staff I feel is a bit accurate. Sometimes they don’t communicate well when you arrive to your appointment but scheduling and checking out is quick and easy. It is a little bumpy when you first arrive, and have to give a medical history each time. COVID has changed a lot of how the world functions and this could be chalked up to adjusting to non face to face interaction. For me; I can deal with those minor inconveniences to have piece of mind that fur babies are in the best of hands. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR HERDER <3

I have been taking my cats to Dr Melody Herder for over 25 years. She is incredibly knowledgeable - yet consults specialists when needed - and very caring. She explains issues well including options for diagnostic work & treatment. Even during this strange pandemic time when we cannot go inside with our pets, the staff is doing a great job with drop offs & pick ups and communication.

If you are looking for a veterinary hospital, look no further. Muir Oaks Veterinary Hospital is your go to for your 4-legged family member. The doctors and staff are exceptional. Customer service is above and beyond from the time you check in to the time you leave. Muir Oaks cares for your pet as though it were their own pet. I have a Great Dane and both he and I are high maintenance when it comes to his care. Dr. Jimison immediately understood my concerns about his well being while in his care. I was kept updated on every procedure and my concerns were put to rest knowing my pooch was in great hands. Don't look elsewhere this is the place for you and their rates are very reasonable. COVID precautions are their priority also. Tell them Gunther sent you.

My dog had an impacted tooth, and I'd been given a very high quote from my regular dentist. I asked Dr. Herder for an alternative quote, which was much more reasonable. They removed the tooth and abscess, and another tooth that was problematic, treated her really well, and provided outstanding service. I have now switched to Muir Oaks as my standard veterinary office. Thoroughly recommended!

I'm very satisfied with Morgan's veterinarian care and the staff is very nice. My only complaint is that the last two times I paid for grooming to get fur mats out of his fur, when I got him home I found that mats were still there and I had to take him back. It happened twice in a row.

I brought both of my cats to Muir Oaks hospital to bring them current on their vaccines. The doctor called me with a treatment plan, and they were very quick with everything. very happy with the care they received here.

This veterinary hospital has impressed me so much their kindness their attention to detail and how the veterinarian went extra to call me after hours just to help reassure me and to check up on my Service Dog Tahoe. I'm 55 years old and I've been to many different veterinarians around the Bay Area. I will proudly and confidently say I will never look for another one, I am so happy with Muir Oaks Veterinary Hospital.

The location is conveniently right off HWY 4. The staff are very friendly. Appointments times are almost always available. Dr. Herder is very thorough and explains everything. We've had other vets in the past. Muir Oaks Veterinary Hospital is by far the best one we've been too. Highly recommend it!!

The Doctor Jameson himself is great! However the STAFF IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL AND EVER PROBLEMATIC. There was one vet nurse assistant that assisted in my dogs surgery and she was so kind and reassuring and comforting... The other young lady that works as the receptionist is the problem! We call to get pain meds for our dog who just got out of surgery with instructions to check back by phone for her meds, each time the young lady answers and is extremely rude and unwilling to help in anyway and or relay information or check information on our dogs pain meds. She was very quick to argue about nothing. Because the doctor was not inn she refused to give a simple call to him to see if we could fix this or even leave a message with him.

We have had 3 dogs seen at Muir Oaks over the last 12 years and no matter who sees our dogs they always make us feel like our dogs are their favorites. Our dogs know this and get excited when we go to the vet. We also kennel our dogs here and always come home to happy dogs.

I have dealt with several Vet's throughout my life and I know not all vets are a like, finding a good one can be challenging. My cat developed hyperthyroidism, a very difficult condition to stabilize. Dr. Herder has been wonderful to work with; she is patient, answers all my questions and has offered alternate treatment plans. She is also cost conscience, I highly recommend her.

Dr Jimeson is awesome (3stars due to poor service) the lead nurse is very tentative and super awesome. The receptionist young girl is rude bratty employee and needs to be talked to for her lack of professionalism and argumentative attitude. I spend $1000's of dollars here and like i said the Dr Jimeson is great and did amazing job on our pup. The receptionist needs to go tho she makes us want to take my buisness els where for sure. Very poor manored employee going to cause buisness loss. We recommended people here and provided tons of buisness here and regret it.,

They are amazing! My vet couldn't squeeze us in last minute when my dog was sick over the weekend, so I scrambled to find someone. We scheduled an appointment at one vet office, but I lost track and went to Muir Oaks instead. They were so kind, took my dog in as a drop in, took care of him, and were very thorough in their care and answering all my questions. I'm now a committed patient here!

One week ago today, we had to put our beloved dog to sleep. We had him since he was 4 weeks old and he was 15 3/4 years. He had only known the kindness and professional care of Muir Oaks. Dr. Knowles was the best and most compassionate vet, we could not have asked for more. I am so thankful for all of the help Muir Oaks provided for almost 16 years. Thank You. Clarine Merritt

This review is long overdue, but Ariana, Emily and Dr. Jimison were so sweet and amazing when my poor husky boy broke his toenail. They found a way to see him same day bc it was really bad and took complete care of him. I was kinda freaking out and they helped me calm down and also were very comforting with my little Kiko. I will definitely be back
