Hi, We met Dr. Grewal on a promotion. We live in the neighborhood. He is very Professional and kind. He's helped us with our cat Simba for over a year through ear and eye problems. We are grateful for his love and compassion of all animals.

Dr. G and the staff in The Melrose Vet are amazing! They are always so responsive and were able to fit me and the babies on such short notice. Dr. G discussed a range of solutions for my kitties and called to check up on them the day after our visit. I definitely recommend going to this vet. He cares about animals and the clinic has such an affordable cost. Thanks Dr. G and staff!

I am elated to have found Dr. Grewal at all, and being that the pandemic remains ongoing at the time of this review, utterly amazed that his office's unyielding compassion, patience, and dedication to their patients is so apparent when demand for appointments have hit an all-time high. So many of us have adopted new animal companions or struggled to find comprehensive, timely care for our existing babies. Absolutely every staff member and technician working alongside Dr. Grewal truly do the most to accommodate their clientele via social media, email, phone, and in-person. Parking? They've got it! Central location? That, too! Thirsty? You'll be asked if you'd like anything. Questions? At all? Those will be answered, and you'll probably get some helpful tips, tricks, and anecdotes from Dr. G and his knowledgeable staff. And, of course, thankfully, affordable. While many of us will do whatever it takes, fundraise, borrow, beg/plead should an emergency expense come up, your hair won't stand on end upon being quoted a price or checking out. This isn't a corporate pet industrial complex operation, it's a place to ask questions, admire the beautiful animal murals while your darling is tended to, and receive all-encompassing care without shame. This is an animal community center, and I am so grateful for everybody there, as are my kitties, Zelda and Jean-Paul!

Oreo celebrated his birthday with clean teeth ! I was recommended by a friend that worked there. I took Oreo for his immunizations and a consultation for teeth cleaning . They did urine and blood work that same day and the following week he had his teeth cleaned. The staff is so friendly they really understand pets are way more then that. A month later I took my other baby Luna for her immunizations. Luna gets anxious and doesn’t do well with new people but she was calm the entire time ! Worth the 45 minute drive there and back !

I had the worst experience of my life in this place. The receptionist was a total nightmare and only cared about getting my credit card to pay while my dog was dying in my arms.

This place deserves 10+ stars! As a surgery resident, I’m extremely picky & can confidently say Dr. G is my veterinarian of choice. I have personally seen anesthetic administration, OR set up and practices. He has demonstrated good operative skill, is very detail oriented, compassionate and knowledgeable. Not only is he great, the friendly staff is always willing to help. They will take care of your pet from A to Z. Modern and clean facility that speaks for itself. If you are looking for a reliable Veterinarian that cares about your pets more than you do, then your search is over.

I’ve been taking my dog to The Melrose Vet since the first week it opened and I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! My dog has had to go in several times for various concerns, and Dr. Grewal and his team are simply the best. My dog loves Dr. G, he makes her as comfortable as can be in a nerve-wracking place like the vet, and I can tell the whole staff genuinely love and care for her. I can always get appointments fairly quickly (which is hard in LA!) and the prices are very fair. I’m so thankful to have such a great vet so close, and I would absolutely make the drive back if we move out of the neighborhood!

Took Steve to the vet for the first time and it was an awesome experience. Steve is a 7mo old Shepard mix - he needed a checkup and to get neutered. The Melrose Vet staff is so kind and helpful! I’ve never had a dog before and they took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. The entire process was super easy - hardly any waiting around; and most importantly, they took great care of Steve!

I am completely disappointed and frustrated by this place. I took my dog here about 2 weeks ago and dr Grewal prescribed Clavamox antibiotics for her. Turns out dr Grewal misdiagnosed my dog, I went elsewhere for a second opinion and my dog has fungus! So Clavamox is the wrong medication! The other vet prescribed ketoconazole which has worked wonders. I called and had a conversation with Dr G, and told him I felt antibiotics were not working. But he was condescending and kept persisting to give my dog the wrong medication, he did not even sound accommodating over the phone! I will not be returning back. If I could give zero stars I would.

Dr.Grewal is very professional and very attentive with his patients. My little toy felt a little nervous which is normal. But after his visit with the Dr.Grewal he felt relaxed and happy. Got his vaccines and physical check up The atmosphere was just wonderful and the staff is sooo friendly and amazing. Very kind and sweet. I love it and in my heart I feel that my little Toy-chi has found a vet clinic and a doctor that can help him throughout his life. Thank you and bless you for your time doctor

Not a fan. From the time I arrived to the scorching hot facility to an empty receptionist's desk, I felt there was a level of incompetence that existed throughout the practice. My poor pup, who is already anxious, was panting profusely. Finally, the air was turned on. Overall, all of the staff seemed scattered. The receptionist brought me to the examination room, during which the scale was switched out twice for being broken. Thank god I was only in for allergies/medication pick-up, as Dr. G (the main vet) also seemed entirely incompetent. In addition to this, he wasn't even wearing a mask. I'm sorry - I understand he is probably vaccinated, but this is still meant to be a safe, clean, professional environment - no? I never write reviews like this, but there is something wrong with this vet and this practice. It felt juvenile.

I love this Clinic???? They are very professional, very clean, and the techs know what they are doing. Thank you to the Doctor & Tech Anthony for saving My kitten ???? She had a severe Eye infection and Lung ???? infection. They were quick and very gentle with Zenitsu Sakamoto. His Visit & Meds were all inexpensive as well.

Great service and pet care from top to bottom. Dr. G and the staff have created a philosophy for client and pet service that is unmatchable.

I am SO happy I found Dr Grewal and his amazing staff!!! They are so kind, professional and efficient. If I need an appointment I get in right away and they really care about their patients. They always do what’s best for my puppy and everyone is so friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure my puppy is taken care of. Dr Grewal is a compassionate doctor who really knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend them!!! Look no further!!!

I went to the Melrose Vet because Coco, my 9-week old german shepherd puppy started to exhibit some strange behavior (couldn't stand up, wobbly legs. and was extremely lethargic). I was able to take my puppy in immediately. Emma and Dr. G gave him a quick look and went above and beyond for my little guy. As a first time dog owner, I was extremely stressed but they helped me get the care my dog needed without me having to break the bank! Both Emma and Dr. G were very honest and knowledgeable! Happy to say that my little pup is doing much better thanks to their help!

I found this vet on Yelp, and based on the good reviews decided to make an appointment for our puppy. From the first phone call I placed, this place has shown me what a true caring veterinary hospital should be like. Emma, the receptionist who assisted me on the phone initially, clearly explained every question I had, was professional, polite and knowledgeable. She assured me and my wife our pup would be in good hands with the doc. Being new parents to a pup, we had a million questions about vaccines, insurance, neuter, after surgical care, deworming, cost, diet.. Emma was kind enough to provide us with the information we asked for and she spent a great deal of her time on the phone accommodating us. We are thankful to have found such a professional veterinarian, and are now confident this will be our pup's new vet. Thank you Emma!

Walked in even though they were busy still being "New" only 8 weeks old they are. My dog had an ear infection, and I was in and out in 30 mins. Clean, professional, kind and im just very happy with their service! Great to have a place you can walk to.

I’m very pleased with my visit to the Melrose Vet. The service was outstanding. It is obvious that Dr Grewal really values client and pet care over making money. He will not give you a ridiculous 2-page long “estimate” ( like my previous vet for example who I’m not going back to ). The customer service was super, Emma was very accommodating and professional. They’re open 7-days a week! I will return forsure and highly recommend this practice.
