Just moved back to California after having lived in NYC for a number of years, and dealing with this hospital has been so incredibly frustrating. Every time I've visited this place it feels like a first time visit. The final straw for me was when the doctors and nurses were referring to my dog's blood work performed in NYC from 6 months ago, because they forgot my dog had blood work done a few weeks ago by their request. They had me come back a month later for additional bloodwork, and the Doctor said "Oh sorry I meant two months." Even when I decided to switch hospitals, simply getting them to email my dog's records to me was an absolute nightmare. Their phone is almost always busy, and even when someone picks up they put you on hold immediately. Get it together, Larchmont Animal Clinic.

The clinic was nice. I am used to seeing a holistic veteraniarn, so the gentle care and thoroughness my dog normally gets was not as good here. Also when I applied for a health certificate the representative caused me a two day flight delay, and they refused to refund, saying it was the post office fault. Either way, I am out of pocket $300 because the clinic messed up.

I took my dog to Larchmont Animal Clinic and I cannot say enough good things about the service, the care and the compassionate reception we got there. This is the best care we received in LA for my dog Bruno. EVERYONE there is just so caring and so helpful. I went feeling very stressed out because he has a growth and needed it to be checked ASAP. We were given an appointment pretty fast by the very concerned Lachon that I would like to especially thank, because she was the only one who understood my panic and worry...( whereas other places just said sorry we are not taking new patients or the wait is till mid November!!!). I felt immediately welcomed and comfortable with the approach, the attention and the care Bruno received. Dr Ciganek was very caring, straight forward and very helpful. The whole team is just unbelievable . We were not rushed and also we did not wait for our appointment. The follow up was also exceptional. Truly wonderful! Customer service has become such a rarity but at Larchmont Animal Clinic, every person we interacted with gave us the best service ever. Thank you!

Now that Covid protocols have lessened, we can actually come in with our pet and it's set up well! Chairs are distanced, hand sanitizer is out, everyone must wear a mask, and there was something available to help calm cats in their carriers if you wanted that. Wait time was not bad, was able to be present for the exam, and was brought to back area to see my pup's xrays on the computer and was sent a copy of them immediately. Everyone in the back was wearing their masks and I was glad to see that. I want to give a huge shout out to their new streamlined check out procedure. They had everything ready and waiting, charged my card on file, and I was able to walk right out the door with my pup and get my receipt emailed to me. Front desk personnel are really top-notch now. They know what's going on, and at all times showed professionalism, kindness and patience! Thank you to everyone at LAC and taking such great care of my senior pup!

I have been taking my pets to Larchmont Animal Clinic for years. Dr. Ciganek is outstanding as is his Veterinary assistant, Josh. From veterinary care to boarding and grooming, every service I have there is beyond 100% positive. One thing I've noticed consistently over the years is how my cats are not stressed when going to and being picked up from a visit. My cat actually walks into the carrier when he knows it is time for a vet visit, he is so accustomed to their care. When I collect him, he is his usual self and chill. That is a sign of real talent and top professionalism. It can be difficult to find a vet who has both an excellent rapport with your pet and exceptional skill as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The longterm great health of the cats that I have had in this clinic's care is a testament to the quality of care they have received. Dr. Ciganek always calls to discuss any issues, offers options and addresses any concerns. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cost of care is quite reasonable as well. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Ciganek's expertise.

Been going here for years. Was very surprised about what happened today. A week ago, I got an email that my dog needed to update her vaccinations. I call and the lady asked if I wanted to update all 3 vaccines. I said that I just wanted 2 of the 3, she said ok, and the appointment was set for today. Went into the room for the appointment, nice lady came in, asked some questions, and left. Dr. Harowitz (?) came in, took (literally) 2 minutes to talk with me, check my dog's ears/teeth, and gave my dog the two shots. Went to the front desk, met with the nice lady at the desk, and she said very calmly and was very articulately, "Just the exam is $70." I didn't ask for my dog to get an exam, and the clinic still wanted me to pay $70 for a 30 second MAX exam?? The lady at the front desk said, "If we haven't seen your pet in over a year, we have to give an exam." Nobody told me that she needed to get an exam. Trust me, had I known, I would have never gone. Way too expensive, and I need to save money more now. I am giving 2 stars because it wasn't always a bad experience, but this really brought me over the edge. I don't want to use them as a trusted animal clinic anymore.

I’ve been going to Larchmont animal clinic for the last 10 years, I’m extremely happy with the care and kindness they give to my golden doodle. The Drs. are so qualified and make you feel so at ease when examining your dog. The staff are professional and extremely kind which gives you peace of mind and most importantly my dog Spence is comfortable being there. JS...

I have been going to the Larchmont Animal Clinic for over 20 years. During that time they have helped our pets in all stages of their lives. The people at the Larchmont Animal Clinic have always treated our pets and us with the care, compassion, concern and kindness. None of our dogs have ever minded going there and are always calm when they are in the waiting room. I swear, one of our dogs actually loved going there and she had her favorite people she loved to see! They are incredibly thorough and have always provided us with the best medical advice and treatment plans, keeping in mind our financial ability in good times and bad. Over the years, many of the staff have stayed, and many have come and gone. All the while consistently providing above and beyond excellent care, from the front desk to surgery. We love this vet so much and have never given it a second thought recommending them to all of our friends, and anyone else that will listen!! A huge thank you Dr. C and everyone else who is/has worked there for providing us with such excellent care for so many years. We ❤️ you!!!

I have been taking my pets to Larchmont Animal Clinic since 2014. I moved away from Larchmont Village in 2017, but still drive up there for my pets. This clinic's management, staff and vets have always been very professional and helpful. I have an 8 year old dog and just adopted an 18 month old cat and they feel comfortable whenever they have an appointment. We recently had to say good bye to our 16 year old cat and they handled everything with love and care. I highly recommend Larchmont Animal Clinic.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I've ever had in my life. I book an appointment with them and arrived 15 minutes earlier (as they told me). However they didn't explain that I needed to be outside waiting beforehand and when I got there they were just ignoring me and being so rude. I was waiting at the door for someone to explain me what was going on and the lady at the recepcionist almost kick me out just for asking a question. WORST customer service EVER!

I have to say that my experience at Larchmont Animal Clinic was far and away the best one of I've had in taking care of my little dog, George. My pup is a 6.5 year old rescue who is very nervous around strangers, suspicious at any vet's office, and can get quite aggressive with both as well as with any attempt to be groomed. In one visit, the incredible and gentle pros at LAC were able to update all of George's vaccines, suggest a special calming solution I'd not yet hear of, and come up with a plan to beautiful groom him. Just two days later, George is nice and trim and I have a permanent new phenomenal to take him for care. From the moment you step into their cozy and beautifully curated waiting area, you'll feel the love, proper attention, and fabulous professionalism of the staff at LAC - and always come back!

I am sickened by the services here at Larchmont Animal Clinic. Which I have patronized in the 10 years I have lived in the neighborhood. A couple of months back, I brought my terrier CharLie Bear in because of an ear infection he got. Given he had been there and the Barking Lot for vaccinations before, I figure I'd take him there for medical care. They diagnosed him with a bad ear infection, washed it out, have him a steroid, a week's worth of antibiotics as well as ear drops. We were charged for an exam fee, care and medications. All seemed fine. We went about our directions and Charlie Bear consumed his antibiotics. About two weeks after his initial visit, i noticed the ear still bothering him. So I made an appointment again and took him in. The doctor swabbed the ear, ran a lab and insisted there was NO SIGN of infection left. Charged me again for an exam, and another half week of antibiotics stating he should be just fine. Fast forward a few weeks to this week. I was walking CharLie Bear and his collar pulled over the ear in question and he let out the biggest yelp as if had been being attacked. I inspected the ear after the ordeal and found the infection had returned and looked almost as bad as the first time I took him in. So I called Larchmont Animal Clinic and inquired about returning for further care. Asking to not again be charged for ANOTHER EXAM as they had sent him home insisting the infection was gone on his 2nd visit. The administrative assitant said she would talk to the doctor and they would return my call later today. About an hour later, the assistant named Jeff/Josh/John (i forget in anger) returned my call to clearly tell me that CharLie Bear can be brought in for further care, but I would again be charged ANOTHER EXAM fee, along with any care and can make the decision to have his ear closed or REMOVED entirely. YES, he proposed removing my pup's ear without even having looked at it again as a solution. Not only does the lack of compassion sicken me, their obvious exam gouging is just as bad. Not an "oh no, its not cleared up?" or "we're so sorry to hear it wasn't cleared up after his previous visits"... just a "You'll be charged an Exam Fee, Care & Medication Fees if you want to bring him in" It is crystal clear this office has no actual interest in the care of my family member. All they care about is the money he brings in for repeated nonsensical exams. CHECK HIS DAMN HISTORY. They even sent me his records from the last few visits so I can provide them to VCA, where I will be taking him. They have amazing notes about how I'm upset that I don't want to be charged for unnecessary services and that they are referring me to another vet for surgery. (YES AGAIN, they insist he needs surgery without seeing him again, even though they told me he no longer had any sign of infection on his follow up visit) Needles to say that I WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK HERE, and I recommend anyone looking for REAL QUALITY CARE for their Furry Family member look into VCA locations. They are amazing, have great Veterinarians who I've noticed take real interest in the health of your Pet, and are not a dollars & cents bottom line type of business. GOOD RIDDENS TO LARCHMONT ANIMAL CLINIC. You Don't Deserve to care for my Amazing & Loyal Best Friend.

We were really nervous about taking our dog in her for check-up and vaccines during Covid as she has serious separation anxiety and we couldn't stay with her. Larchmont Animal Clinic was amazing. They got her in and out quickly, were communicative, clear, and focused on what needed to be done and above all it was very safe. Thank you, Larchmont Animal Clinic!

I took my sweet new kitten, Maple, to Larchmont Animal Clinic recently for a wellness exam and her kitten vaccines. Of course, being a new pet parent, I was super nervous and didn’t know what to expect but the clinic took a load off my shoulders by how warm, professional, and knowledgeable they were. The new COVID system was a total breeze and everyone I spoke to on the phone gave me clear easy instructions and were all super friendly! Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been taking my pets to Dr. Ciganik since 1997. I’ve never had anything but the best care here. The staff has always been wonderful and Dr. C is just fantastic - always extremely helpful and compassionate and takes the time to answer my ten zillion questions. I can’t recommend them any higher!

Overpriced extortion! My cat has fleas and was over grooming himself, I just wanted to get a good flea medicine for him. $70 for a cortisone shot, and $63 for some flea medicine. To top it off It was $75 for a vet visit when I was told on the phone it was half off for first visit so I booked an appointment, then when they are holding my cat hostage JK it's $75! You can go other places in the area for $20 less than this cost. Medicines and other services also overpriced! Will not be coming back as I feel taken advantage of.

My two little boys with tails needed a checkup and shots and one has a bit of a skin problem. All was taken care of and the Vet phoned me and suggested an Enzyme shot that would help Ozzy's skin and I went for it. He is doing really well with that shot and not smelling or itching...I and Ozzy are very Pleased. I will return for another one of those shots for Ozzy down the road if he needs again. Thank to Larchmont Animal Clinic and staff.

I WON'T COME BACK FOR SURE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I brought my cat at the Larchmont Animal Clinic after having adopted him. This clinic is a complete rip off (it's a money business). We said we only wanted to have the cat checked and this happened. FIRST APPOINTMENT At first we waited a long time (and we had an appointment), then they called us in and made us wait again. The first comment I have is that the whole experience is very confusing (it felt intentional so that at the end you are so confused that you just pay whatever they ask you to pay). A first nurse comes in, (complete waste of time) he starts asking questions randomly, weights the cat and then says that he is too agitated to check the temperature (the cat was completely relaxed). Anyway, after basically having done his job of buying some time he leaves saying that the Doctor would be there in 1 sec which became 10/15 more minutes of waiting. Doctor Coote comes and briefly checks our cat and at first says "we need to give him a FIRST vaccine today", 1: we didn't ask for a vaccine, 2: we repeatedly said he already had his first vaccine a couple of days before. Again, super confusing. Then she starts listing a bunch of other vaccines, cures, and tests the cat had to do "for safety". And again we didn't show any interest on that regard. The she leaves saying that she would have been back but instead ANOTHER new nurse comes in with a draft invoice printed out with even more stuff on it than the Doctor "proposed", including that day's examination (which for us was free because we had a coupon), but you know... It was just a "mistake"... After telling the nurse we didn't want to do all those things to our cat he goes back to the doctor, we hear them talking and when he comes back he starts pointing out that "the Doctor really advices you to do this one, and also this one is really important and that one too", basically EVERYTHING. Plus at the end NO ONE (out of 3 people) checked our cat's temperature. They tried to oversell us, and that's why I say it's a business, not a place where pets are really loved. THEN WE DECIDED TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE and my wife had the worst experience she could have thought of: SECOND APPOINTMENT (this is a sum of my wife's yelp review) I brought my kitten today to get his vac.booster, specifying I was there JUST FOR THAT THING. First the nurse came to check his weight and temperature and I honestly thought was just normal routine to make sure he was ok before the vac.shot (instead they billed me 38$ without saying a word) then Dr. Coote told me she was giving him the vac.shot instead she gave him the deworming medicine WITHOUT ASKING MY PERMISSION (another $8.50 - how unprofessional and sneaky) when I asked her about it she justified herself saying she was following the notes of the first visit (again she didn't take me into account even after saying more than once that I was there just for that one booster) then after the FVRCP shot she was ready with a syringe to gave him the rabies shot (again 10 sec before I told her I didn't want any other vaccines beside the booster) I was furious!!!!!!!!!! You don't try to do anything to my kitty without making clear exactly what you intend to do and MORE IMPORTANT, YOU ASK ME FIRST (hellooo I'm there in front of you). At the end they billed me 59.82$ (I also had to pay 5.32$ fee of hazardous waste disposal abs not mentioned before). There was a 15$ discount (a little freebie they do asking you a nice YELP review, again how fishy) but at the end they found a way to rip me money anyway. I WON'T COME BACK FOR SURE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

I went at the Larchmont Animal Clinic twice. The first time I choosed them from the list of Vets to go to for a free examination (the shelter we rescued our kitten from gave us a coupon) because we live very close and from the reviews I thought they were great. I know what cats need as I've already had two in the past and I personally spoke with the shelter vet and I knew my baby was ok and he only needed to be double checked and to get another shot of FVCRP. At the clinic the Dr.Coote tried to sell me a 216.94$ various treatments bill to do him as much as possible, she also tried to scare me saying that he had an irregular heartbeaten (of course he was agitated he doesn't know you) but I said no and went home doing researches about all the things she was trying to perform on my kitty. Then the clinic sent us home a really nice letter and I decided to gave them another chance to prove theirselves so I brought my kitten today to get his vac.booster, specifying I was there just for that thing. First the nurse came to check his weight and temperature and I honestly thought was just normal routine to make sure he was ok before the vac.shot (instead they bill me 38$ without saying a word) then Dr.Coote after a small talk told me she was giving him the vac.shot instead she gave him the deworming medicine without asking my permission (another 8.50$ - how unprofessional and sneaky) when I asked her about it she justified herself saying she was following the notes of the first visit (again she didn't take me into account even after saying more than once that I was there just for that one booster) then after the FVRCP shot she was ready with a syringe to give him the rabies shot (again 10 sec before I told her I didn't want any other vaccice beside the booster) I was furious!!!!!!!!!! You don't try to do anything to my kitty without making clear exaclty what you intend to do and MORE IMPORTANT, YOU ASK ME FIRST (hellooo I'm there in front of you). At the end they billed me 59.82$ (I also had to pay 5.32$ fee of hazardous waste disposal abs not mentioned). There was a 15$ discount but at the end they found a way to rip me money anyway.
