They let a neighbor's dog get sick and die through sheer negligence and neglect and Cathi was totally uncaring when the owners returned. The comments she made to the owners showed how cold and uncaring she was. Check out pics of the facility on Yelp, it's disgusting, it should be on "Hoarders". Time to shut that place down.

I left my cat here for 5 nights and when I picked him up his personality was normal -- not like when I left him for 6 nights with a corporation and afterwards he was despondent for weeks.

Cathi Helfer and her wonderful handlers at Camp Best Friends have been taking care of our dogs and cats since the early 1990s. Her facility is immaculate and her care standards are impeccable. She goes the extra mile to custom feed when asked, and of course gives any needed medications. Long ago one of my dogs had a medical emergency while I was away on business in Europe, and Cathi personally took him to our vet and made sure he got the care he needed. Best of all, she truly loves animals, even the difficult ones. Our blue heeler Harley is a ranch dog with an edge. He’s unpredictable, and to be honest, a problem child when it comes to boarding. But Cathi has been taking care of him for years and she knows what to do to keep him and everyone safe, unstressed and happy. And one of her handlers, Pablo, is not only able to give Harley a bath, but he brushes all the undercoat out and executes a nice mild trim. I can’t believe how this has stopped the shedding and Harley still smells so good, two months later! Harley loves Pablo. I would never trust anyone else to care for our pets. I have been boarding my mouse Pikachu here during holidays and summers for almost two years now. Cathi and her staff are absolutely the BEST. Not only do they keep him clean and fed, they also go out of their way to play with him, teach him tricks and get him interesting treats and toys. He's a very social little guy so it puts my mind at rest to leave him with people who give him so much interaction and attention. This past winter his fur started thinning, which I assumed was a natural sign of aging...then I left him with Cathi over Xmas, and when I picked him up in the new year, all his fur had grown back and he looked young and fluffy again! Clearly he'd had the mouse equivalent of a spa vacation with her :) Leave your pets with Cathi, she understands how much you love them and she will take care of them like they are her own.

We've had to board our dogs over a long period due to the Woolsey fire. Kathy and her team are so wonderful! They truly care and are compassionate and loving toward our dogs. Kathy was taking in chickens and all manner of other pets from evacuees during this catastrophe. She is a wonderful woman and this place is fantastic! Highly recommend!

There are plenty of expensive stuffy dog hotels in LA with fancy webcams of your pet and special gourmet food and web booking systems. This is not that, and I love them for it. They’re extremely flexible on booking and always so happy to see Zulu (as she is to see them!) as well as being extremely affordable! Highly recommended :)

Boarded our anxiety prone pupper here on the recommendation of our DVM Behaviorist. I was a wreck leaving him. When we picked him up six days later he had clearly bonded with staff and even went back to give his primary caretaker a kiss …

Our kitty, Lois says, "Camp Best Friends is the cat's meow!" Everyone there is friendly and very professional. Lois needs her meds, and they're completely on top of it. When we drop her off, we leave comforted to know that she will be well taken care of! Thank you Cathy and staff! So glad you're there!!!
