First, I called this clinic to ask for ultrasound for my dog. The gentleman said ok as long as she is 45 days on the way I can give her an appointment. I asked how much and he said $40.00. I asked if that’s all I have to pay and he said yes. So appointment was scheduled the following day. I called again to confirm that it was ok because she was only 43-44 days. The lady who answered said that’s ok we can still see the puppies in the ultrasound. Second, I made it clear that I wanted to know how many puppies my girl has, and they knew that. Appointment came. I was told after an around 2 hour-wait that I needed to pay $400 plus dollars because of this and that plus an X-ray is needed to ascertain how many puppies she has because the ultrasound will only show the heartbeat and if the puppies are alive. I agreed to pay for $325.00 for X-ray and ultrasound. Third, after another 2 hours I was informed that the doctor wanted to see her again because they were not sure if there were only 3. Didn’t they say the X-ray would confirm? This staff told me that because it was too early to tell, that she should’ve at least 50 days pregnant to be sure! Didn’t they tell me 45 days? Please help me out! I shouldn’t have paid because this just looked like a scam to me. $40 for ultrasound; $45 for exam fee and $240 for X-ray. They were going to charge me more than $100 more for her ear infection! I’m so disheartened right now, because I really feel that these facilities just live off the pet owners who will do everything for their little ones. They tell you the least amount of money when you ask them and they pile you up with recommendations and sky- high charges! Hello! I’m just excited to know if my girl has puppies so I can give her the best care!

There is no way to make an appointment. They do not return calls and you can't do it online. We waited in their online queue which we thought was what you were suppose to do just to get there and find out that isn't even valid. What a time waste and extra stress on pet to be dragged out there for nothing.

We have taken our cat here multiple times and always some weird thing happens. Is a pandemic ok so we let it slide. Today, though, no. Too much. They deleted our appointment and didn’t tell us. We drive an hour to get there and just, nope no appt. Its so hard to get vet appt’s lately and the cat is so miserable so you can imagine the frustration. The staff is extremely rude, condescending, and just flippant. They should call it Ambivalent animal hospital lol. Like please don’t take your pet here if you can help it. They have lost our phone number before too, so we literally waited hours for the cat bc they don’t call us to tell us the appointment is done. Its like your pet so you just want to be able to trust the vet treating them, ya know?

I took my dog in with a noticeable infection in his mouth and the male Vet there said they couldn't do anything. He said it was a tumor and because of my dog's age they wouldn't be able to proceed with any options. It felt lime he was in a hurry to take more patients ($$$). That didn't sit well with me as my dog was getting worst, so I took him to another place, which said he should have prescribed antibiotics and steroids. I'm happy my gut told me to go somewhere else because now he's getting the proper treatment.

They provided everything I could ask for in an Animal Hospital. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, caring and I felt my cat was getting the best care I could ask for. I was worried about her condition and they took the time to consult me and helped in every step of the decision making. Kitty was returned in good condition, (unhappy about her dental surgery but can't blame them for that). They knew I was concerned about the cost and did everything they could to provide the best service at an affordable rate. Job well done!

These people are way too disorganized. I have 2 pets, and twice I’ve had to be re-entered into their system. I’ve also had appointments that I’ve booked just magically disappear. ???? I’ve also had to wait outside up to an hour and a half AFTER my appointment time just to be seen. As for affordable, check-ups are $35 which is decent but when it comes to treatment and medicine, sheesh! Very pricey. Some people are nicer than others, but overall customer service is 3/10. Also close to a Target which is cool ‘cause they make you wait and wait and wait for a status update. ????♀️ Considering pulling my pets’ records and going somewhere else.

I had my baby boy, who is also my best friend “Luigi” go here for a few care needs and major dental work. He was in my life since he was 2 mos. and he turned 13 this pass Feb. Each time we visited, which was often these past few months, (due to the dental work and his age)we were greeted warmly and professionally. Not once did I, as Luigi’s dad, ever feel like I was dealing with heartless medical professionals that handled my dear friends needs, like insensitive robots. They genuinely cared and even showed love. Dr. Adler Always was so gentle and kind making the process always so easy and prescribing Luigi exactly what he needed without making me feel rushed or ever giving me the impression Luigi didn’t matter. Luigi was and will always be a fighter and bigger than his body gave him credit for. So, he was pretty feisty and could be a handful, but the staff always showed care and patience while handling him. He passed away almost 3 weeks ago now and I don’t really want to remember that exact date specifically, because he suffered terribly due to his on going breathing issues leading to a possible heart attack. He was strong for me and held on during the entire Uber ride to the emergency room. Long enough for me to be able to say “goodbye, see you soon “. He was always thinking of me, even then. Manny was very supportive over the phone the day Luigi passed. He did the best job explaining things to me in ways that I can understand and made me feel good when he mentioned he remembered Luigi and myself after one previous visit. I will always be grateful for this Manny, thank you. Every one here at this Eagle Rock location is hard at work to ensure your animals safety and well being, all while maintaining a level of respect, dignity and care that unfortunately some establishments lack. I will be bringing my “Chance” (a rescue that was abandoned on a freeway) “Marie” and our newest addition to the family “ Benjamin” here, for all there care needs. I trust, appreciate and respect all these wonderful people that commit there days and energy to show love and care for all of our babies. I know Luigi is happy where he is now, because you all took the very best care with him before he passed. I wish for wonderful days full of great health, love and peace for each and everyone of the staff here at Affordable Animal Hospital. Thanks so very much. You made a true friend for life in me. Sincerely, Michael, Chance, Marie, Luigi, Benjamin and Christian ????

This is the most disorganized clinic I’ve ever experienced. There’s not a single time I’ve brought my dog in (for a scheduled appointment) and haven’t waited AT LEAST an hour to be seen and checked in. It doesn’t seem that anyone is communicating. I’ve been given different prices, different diagnoses, and at one point they asked me to pay for the same procedure twice. I’ve been put on hold and then disconnected several times. Oh, and my dog came home after her procedure infested with fleas. I would say you get what you pay for but sadly this doesn’t even qualify.

The doctor for religious reasons can’t spay and neuter animals. So I guess they don’t mind all of the animals getting pregnant and then abandon and causing more of an issue. I don’t understand the purpose of being a veterinarian if you contribute to the problem.

Affordable has been my go to vet since it opened in Eagle Rock. I still recommend this place for check ups, vaccines, and small procedures. That said.. in the last year and a half the customer service has taken a nose dive. It is extremely difficult to communicate with a live person. If you have an emergency then I highly recommend you go somewhere else where the vet can dedicate more time. Affordable Eagle Rock still provides a value for routine procedures but anything else is a headache.

The vet wrote an incorrect visit summary for my pet’s visit. I’ve been calling the vet for days and they never pick up. When they finally did, the receptionist who did was so rude, and yelled at me, because I was asking them to correct an error that they never should’ve made. She yelled at me and then just hung up the phone. I have been calling them because I actually need them to fix what they did. It’s really frustrating. I am certainly getting a new vet for my pet.

I took my dog to this clinic because they were the only ones who had appointments the next day, which was convenient, but now I know why. After I checked my dog in, I waited for the doctor to call. The first call I received the doctor explained based on my description of her symptoms, they could do a diagnosis and if we cannot determine the root of her illness, we would have to do x-rays, blood work, etc which would total up to $961. I specifically said please just do the exam/diagnosis and then call me back and I’ll determine how to proceed. 3 Hours go by and the doctor apologizes for the long wait, but said the clinic was very busy. I said thats’s ok so what’s the diagnosis? The doctor assured me after examining her she checked out fine and only needs a weeks worth of meds. However, there is a $30 difference for the medicine she will need. I said no problem $30 extra is no big deal. Upon the final call, the nurse at the front told me they were just packing up the meds and told me the bill will be $961!!!!!! I was livid, but kept my composure and explained to her what was discussed with the doctor as it may have been a mistake or miscommunication. She went to speak with the doctor and when she returned, she stated the doctor did x-rays, blood work, etc. I reiterated that I explicitly only asked for a diagnosis and did NOT authorize the doctor to do more than administer meds after examining/diagnosing. The nurse went to speak with the doctor once again and when she came back said the doctor thought it was discussed during his second call with me. I further went into detail how I made it clear not to go beyond without my consent because I am well aware of how expensive radiology and lab work can be. The nurse said the doctor determined she needed it. WHAT!? I reluctantly paid as I spent the whole day there and was burnt out and needed to care for my dog, but I will NEVER return to that clinic. If you do decide to go, make sure you get everything in writing and sign off to protect yourself....I however I have taking this as a learning lesson and will never again verbally trust these vets; especially since I just have to take their word for what my pet needs.

Made an appointment over a week or two, I get there and they tell me that they can't help me with my pugs because of only one doctor, time to look for a new place, just for a 10 second pat down is $25 and last years vaccines were over $300, tried to give them a second chance but no. Nothing affordable about this vet clinic it's just the name to draw people to it.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in with a vet. They look advantage and charged so much just to get my cat neutered-over $300. Then, I gave them another chance when my other cat was pooping blood. They charged over $1400 for a few tests and one medication. They wouldn’t explain the charges to me and the worst part was having to wait outside in the cold for 2 hours when they called and told us to come pick him up. These people are NOT affordable, they will take advantage when you are the most desperate.

I’ve never been disappointed with their pet services. Aside from the waiting outside due to the restrictions, they’re super fast & the veterinarian are good at making sure you leave feeling better than when you first walked in.

Great customer service and they were able to fit me into their schedule when my puppy really needed it. Much more affordable than most places.

Another vet that takes advantage of scare mongering the owners into parting with their $. I will say the staff are cordial and helpful. The treatments the vet suggests are over the top and would cause excess stress and harm to the animal on this occasion. I have an older dog who has lumps and cysts come and go. Usually I am capable of cleaning and tending to these myself through practice as I grew up with working dogs on a farm. On this occasion, I decided to just have the vet clean it and check her out as she was due a check up and rabies shot. Estimate One: $2,500 for extreme surgery, blood work, biopsy's, drains etc. Obviously I said "no" Estimate Two: $1,300 for exactly what is above minus the biopsy. I asked for antibiotics, clean the wound and give me the shot I wanted. $330. As I said the staff are great, the actual doctors are just chasing the almighty $.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!! THE WORST!!!! They had my dog for 4 hours and wouldn’t keep me updated on anything! After 4 hours passed and I asked for a update on my dog. They came out with a recipe of over $700 and they had no clue on what he had. My puppy just needed a x-ray to see what was wrong with him. The vet is called affordable but isn’t! What got more mad is the fact that they had my puppy for 4 hours and couldn’t tell me what he needed. I am so disappointed on how they charged me $50 for them to just keep him in for 4 hours without doing anything and wasting my time. This is the worst dog hospital I’ve ever experienced! I wish there was a way to rate it negative stars!!!

I live by there. Drove by many times. Till one day I called them about having my lil "Coco" expressed. The staff there were very welcoming, great service and very professional and most of all warm to coco. Not a cold and sterile attitudes like other hospitals and clinic. Definitely will continue to make that Coco' s place for all his medical needs.

Dr. ADLER SAVED MY DOGS LIFE!!! She was diagnosed with Bloat by Eagle Rock Emergency and given a low chance of survival by Dr Ali. We were going to euthanize her but Eagle Rock Emergency was out of Propofol so they sent us up the street to Affordable Animal Hospital. That's when Dr ADLER saw her and asked us if he could reassess her situation..he did and he told us he could save her.. AND HE DID!! We love love love DR. BRIAN ADLER. He is literally my hero. He's confident and skilled, UNLIKE Dr. ALI at Eagle Rock Emergency. Please see Dr Adler if your pet has a dire life threatening emergency he's your best chance! UPDATE: Nearly one year after her bloat surgery, my now 15 year old Sox is still with us, thanks to Dr. Brian Adler.

I took my kitty who was vomiting to this clinic trusting 5 stars, which I regret greatly! They asked for expensive, later I realized unnecessary tests and blamed it my kitty’s condition on slightly elevated levels of crystals. After leaving the clinic, my pet was feeling worse so I took him to the 24 hour er in eagle rock. Very quickly, he was diagnosed with very severe case of worms. I went back to the Affordable Animal Clinic pick up the tests next day and asked to speak to the doctor. I told him he misdiagnosed my cat and he said ‘ok...’ shrugging. I guess I hurt his ego... and his lack of integrity and carelessness was astonishing. Please think twice before going there!
