Dr. George and Dr. Smith are PHENOMENAL!!!!! My partner and I have quite a special little cat that needs special attention. Ever since she was a little baby, I've been bringing her here and both Dr. George and Dr. Smith and their team have always put us at ease knowing that she's getting nothing but the best care. They tailor the care to their unique needs which we value.

This is a great pet hospital. I felt confident that the doctor knew what she was doing and my pet was in a good place. I'm glad I chose them. Highly recommended ????

Our pet Pancho had a bladder infection + we found have some crystals and also blood in his bladder. We called to make an urgent apt as he was feeling really bad, and they said they were pretty busy and the only time available was Sunday. (We called Wednesday) not sure what they don’t understand about being urgent, at least they should prioritized when a pet needs to be seen ASAP and don’t make it wait for 4 days... we called Banfield In Seal Beach and they said they were busy but in this case to bring him ASAP. This is a good responsable service. I will definitely recommend BANDIELD PET HOSPITAL SEAL BEACH “The best” with difference.

You can drop your pet off in case you can't make the appointment or if they are sick. Love their services and you won't pay for things not needed for your pet, such as dental until needed.

Great customer service, especially in this time of COVID-19.

Our kitten had to have emergency surgery because of your office. You ignored photos of infection and a mothers instinct. You dismissed a picture of a large HOLE in the belly of this kitten, stating it was normal, and would eventually heal. YOU said she may have had a reaction to the stitches, yet did nothing about it. She was in pain because you didn't give enough pain meds. We have phone records of the calls and texts messages; not even an impromptu visit warranted enough concern from your office. The next day after our last call, this kitten was rushed into emergency, approximately 7 days after initial surgery. Emergency. Surgery. And just so every reader knows, she went in to be fixed, something seemingly routine. Its bad enough we've now paid for 2 surgeries...what would have happened had I not listened to my gut? Had this been a human child, she would have been on pain meds. Had this been a human child, the majority of parents would want to sue. I plan to review you and post the botched surgery anywhere and everywhere I can so long as its public. Photos to follow.

They were really great with my dog Berry they always take good care of him. They called and left a message that Berry would 9be ready at 3. Called them back ask them if I can bring my cat Cleo in to have her nails clipped. They said yes in a matter of seconds they both came out. Thank You ????

This place is amazing!!! The moment you walk in you can see how well others are treated. We were treated like royalty. I brought our 13 year old bischon for a follow up and 2nd opinion. We had a horrible experience at affordable animal hospital (beware don't go there.. They overcharge and dont have your babies best interest in mind) on spring in LB. The staff and vet Dr. Nowell welcomed me and my cuddles with so much love. The time she spent with us demonstrates how much they care and they get these are like your kids. Super empathetic and just knowledgeable. No one is trying to oversell anything -its all about caring about your furry pets. The cost was not bad at all!!! I even said thats it?? The vet spent so much time with us and actively listened to me. The vet went through his treatment plan and ensured I understood. I couldn't believe how attentive they were. I just love this place and thankful its near our home. Im ending my day feeling so much relief knowing a professional vet saw and treated my baby. We previously brought our cat gizmo and we had the same wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place for your furry babies!!!!

Absolutely worst vet and people working in this location I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Find a local non- Banfield. Because they all share thr same awful staff and vets here in the socal area.

Our dog had been throwing up and was diagnosed by Banfield as having a "sensitive stomach." They prescribed special food (which they also sell). Over several months, Quincy didn't get any better. He was going downhill and I felt he was gravely ill. I wanted to take him to another vet, but my wife had a health care contract with them. They said he needed a lot of testing, a radiograph, and a consultant to interpet it. They said we should upgrade his health care to include some of the tests. We did. We came back several hours later. They said they were concerned about some of the tests. We saw the X-ray which showed a lot of air in his stomach. But they didn't know what was wrong. It would have to wait for the consultant (extra cost not covered by the upgraded health policy). They sent him to VCA Animal Hospital to be observed overnight because of the air. On arriving at VCA, the vet took one look at Quincy and knew he was gravely ill. It took all of five minutes using ultrasound to diagnose a massive tumor filling the abdominal cavity. The vet said when the muscles and rest of the dog is wasted away, but one area is growing that is a red flag. He said Quincy was at "the end," and needed to be put down immediately. There was no choice, we didn't want him to suffer. I do not understand how Banfield could miss all this. Perhaps they should spend less time selling insurance, consultant fees, and pet food, and pay more attention to the animal itself.
