Joshlyn does such a good job with my little dog. I usually wait too long to get her groomed and I can always count on Joshlyn to be patient and gentle.

This place is a great place to get a new dog rode the owner Jocelyn is really caring and takes time with my dog. She did not rush and she done did not even use a leash while my dog was on her table. I highly recommend her

This is the best pet grooming salon! Cage free. By appointment, so your dog is not there all day long. Owner is wonderful with the pets. My dog doesn't get anxiety from going here. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely the best Grooming Salon ever! I have two dogs who are large and shake like crazy when they have to go to the groomer but because this lady gives impersonal care there's no cages they are always happy and excited to go in and see her and get their bath it's an excellent pet salon

Barker's Pet Studio is a new grooming business in Lomita, and Joshlyn is the proprietor and "Canine Cosmetologist" (super cool title) there. Joshlyn is extraordinarily skilled with the use of her grooming tools, gives a terrific doggy bath, does a super-duper job cleaning your pup's ears, has a certification in animal First Aid, and is even a certified dog trainer. Oh, and did I mention that she has the "patience of a saint" working with dogs and cats?....... my easily frightened pup will attest to this fact. Joshlyn works on just one dog at a time and is a completely cage-free groomer, so your pup will get all of her attention. Since Joshlyn's studio is cage-free, this is NOT a daycare/boarding facility of any kind. She has a 1.5 or 2 hour window for each groom, so you need to pick up your pup by then. I believe that there is an extra charge if that window is exceeded after a certain number of minutes, but it's a totally fair policy. Barker's Pet Studio's fees are very fair and basically follow the industry-standard (or better). SERIOUSLY consider this when your dog or cat is getting a one-on-one, quiet, stress-free, no "fire hose", no cage-dryers, a "spa experience" for about two hours with Joshlyn ONLY. No "hand-offs" from bather to groomer to cage to....... Nope, none of that. Joshlyn has for sale some nifty dog and cat fashion products, toys and enticing treats that she makes herself. I was ready to chomp on some sample snacks, had she not directed me to the people-candy dish on the counter. I had always requested Joshlyn as my pup's groomer when she worked at her last employer's business. When she left, to my surprise, I spent many, many hours on the internet trying to find her out there in the local dog grooming world. I finally got some hits when she opened her new business earlier in 2015. Whew, what a relief! My pup's last lopsided "Super Cuts" style haircut from another dog groomer inspired me all the more to continue my internet search. So, give Barker's Pet Studio a shot. I've never been disappointed.
