I have been taking my pets to dr. Benson for over 10 years. She is always very caring to my pets and does everything possible to keep them healthy. Her staff is pleasant and professional. I would recommend west Russell animal hospital with raving reviews.

Our little guy, Pinky, woke up with a bad limp and was in obvious pain. We called West Russell Animal Hospital and they set up to take him in immediately. Within 25 minutes of my call, he was in the Doctor's care. Fortunately, nothing serious was wrong, and Pinky is doing just fine. We wouldn't trust our 3 cats to anyone else. They've always been responsive, fair-priced and compassionate.

The doctor and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

A very clean and safe environment for your pet and you. I have been in another animal hospital the last 2 weeks and West Russell animal hospital is far better and organized than on the central eastern side of town.

We've only been one time so far but the people are really nice. The vet was really knowledgeable and told us a lot of things we didn't know for our pet. They have two sets of doors that lead to two separate lobbies. One side is for dogs and ones that is for cats to help reduce friction between the two animal sides. Both are labeled on the outside for ease of identifying the correct side. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital.

The staff was very professional and on time, Dr Benson was great as she was able to calm our pet "Bella" down almost immediately. The pricing for the visit and shots were surprising reasonable.

Dr. Benson is very concerned and compassionate about her profession. She had gone the extra mile to try to save my little Tino. Unfortunately the other Animal Hospital had (in my opinion) not been as concerned or diligent in the care of my little guy. The other Animal Hospital (again, in my opinion), waited to long to perform surgery, over 24 hours, knowing he had bladder stones (I gave the Dr. the stones) and was not urinating, he was not catharized after surgery when he continued to not be able to urinate. The morning after surgery, the Dr. told me there was nothing more they could do for my Tino and I should just let them give him as needle and let him go to sleep. I brought him to Dr. Benson for a second opinion, my friend suggested that I try Dr. Benson since she had saved her Great Dane. Dr. Gouldburn, the other Dr. that was working with Dr. Benson, got him urinate within 3-4 hours after I got him there, when he tried to put a catheter in he also found out that Tino still had a blockage which he cleared. Dr. Benson tried her best to save him, she contacted other specialists to get their opinion on what more she could do to help Tino. Dr. Gouldburn, was working with Dr. Benson the entire time and both were in constant contact with me. Even on her day off Dr. Benson checked in on Tino to see how he was doing. They worked on him for a week, unfortunately, Tino was too far gone and his other organs were starting to fail, the humane thing to do at the time was to let him go to sleep, he fought hard, he was only 2 1/2 years old and wasn't ready to go. Dr. Benson is amazing, I have so much respect for her and Dr. Gouldburn. Dr. Benson and Dr. Gouldburn are now working with me to help my Milo lose weight so they can take care of his bad knees. I have so much trust and respect for Dr. Benson and the entire staff there. If you are looking for a kind, caring and compassionate Veterinary Hospital for your Fur Baby I would recommend West Russell Animal Hospital in a heartbeat, The entire staff has been amazing, from the Dr.'s to the technicians, to the front office, they are always ready to help and show concern for my fur baby.

Dr Benson shows so much care in Emma’s well-being. Very knowledgeable and great with answering questions and taking time to make sure we were comfortable with the treatment options and choices. Thank you!

We love West Russell Animal Hospital. The staff is wonderful!

Had a walk-in drop off service which took a little while when dropping off but it was walk-in service so no foul there. The rates were very fair and the quality of care seemed to be more than acceptable. The only down side is I did curbside pickup and waited in my car 1/2 hour after my initial call to let them know I was there. It took a second call to get some action but, other than that, it was a good experience.

The place is super busy but the care is superb and the Doctors and staff are amazing. They are very kind and professional. Love my Vet!!!!

Sending my beloved pup of 15 years to the great beyond was brutal. I have no words for the pain. The staff here actually cared. The young ladys that did the work were extremely kind n compassionate. They had tears in their eyes. Thanks so much for tje kindness. God Bless

My furry baby Kooba was sick. West Russell Animal was amazing. They treated my baby with love and care. They explain everything clearly and allow me to make the decision. I love West Russell. I've also had Kooba boarded there and He was taken care and they gave me updates.

AWESOME DR KAKU IS SO COOL

We needed our pup to be seen at the last minute over a holiday weekend. We tried our regular vet, an emergency vet, a nearby vet, and finally we found West Russell Animal Hospital. The office was very clean, and almost whimsical. The entire staff was kind and compassionate and very accommodating. It was a drop off system, with an afternoon pick up which left us pressed for time to catch a flight, so a friend had to pick up our fur baby. Our only concern was that we never heard from the doctor that day (or even the next two days) on the findings or prognosis. We were given a Rx, but no explanation. However, once we got the call, Dr. Benson took the time to answer all our questions and clearly address any issues. After speaking with her, we were very happy with the experience.

I am one week new to town and needed to get my dog in to be seen ASAP, although it wasn't an emergency per se. I started calling vets closest to my house, but none could get me in until mid Sept. This was the 3rd one I called, got me in the next day. Care and explanations were excellent, they paid attention to all of my concerns and pricing was excellent. So glad I ended up here!
