I have used their services over 26 years. They are amazing. Dr Costa was my original vet care person / doctor. The staff is amazing!, or gone. I appreciate that. They have treated me, my husband and Every pet I ever brought in, with care, respect, and they understand- how difficult senior care and deaths of our older gurbabies are. They do all they can to be reasonable in costs. They are busy. busy, busy- call for appointments whenever you can. Emergencies are priority, as they should be. You would still be best off, if you call first, so you are expected. If you walk- in expect to wait. My only hope is that at some point they have a mobile pet care. Especially for large dogs, the un-socialized pet, and for some people who have no car, or can not drive ( like senior adults that are for the most part homebound) I will continue to use thier services til all my fur babies are gone. Youngest now 3- so 15 years more? My anamals have had long, quality-filled healthy lives.... Due to my love, and Spencer Springs care. I love SSAH and Dr. Costa. I started going to this vet due to their close proximity to my house. I moved 6 years ago and there are other vets close by but I still go to SSAH. It's worth it for me to make the drive to get the amazing service and care for my dogs that I get here.

I heartily recommend Spencer Springs Animal Hospital for the care and treatment of your furry friends. Dr. Susie Costa and her well trained staff are wonderful and caring people who are genuinely committed to the wellbeing and health of the animals they see. I have been a regular at this clinic for about 15 years and have nothing but praise and kudos for them. I have 3 kitties, one with chronic kidney disease. Dr. Costa is always very kind, gentle and loving to my little one...and I love that! The doctor is generous with her time and always has a few kind words of encouragement to offer. Additionally, she provides valuable advice on home care, feeding and the general comfort of my kitties. I am thankful to have Dr. Costa as my veterinarian. In short, Spencer Springs Animal Hospital is the "Apple" of veterinarian care...or if you will, the standard by which others should be measured.

The worst vet I've ever been to. Got an appt with the new vet, Dr. Bures who couldn't read an x-ray and expected me to pay for a radiologist to read it and give an opinion on what was wrong with my dog. She couldn't give me a proper diagnosis without the computer software. Complained about it and was told that she doesn't actually read x-rays and that Dr. Costa doesn't own the vet anymore. Yet they still advertise that she owns and operates the vet. Incredibly shady people who don't care about your pets health. Do not take your pets here and waste your money and time like I did.

The ONLY place we ever take our animals. Been there since it opened. They are so gentle and loving with the animals. Answers any questions you may have.

I have been coming here for over 10 years and I absolutely love this place . Staff is always nice and very tentative to my pets needs . Dr . Acosta is my absolute favorite , I trust her and only her for my pets and they love her just as much . From the minute she walks into the exam room you can feel her warm welcome and loving attitude towards your pets and they sense that too . I will always recommend this place to anyone with a pet . I have been taken my Cat-Razz to Spencer Springs Animal Hospital for several years for shots, health care check-ups and boarding as well. They take Great care of my Cat-Razz as needed.

Whenever I go into Spencer springs animal hospital for my dogs, the staff seems to be very friendly, and the doctors there do seem knowledgeable that they know what they are talking about. Because of the staff at Spencer springs, my dog's seizure issues have drastically reduced.

Dr. Costa and here staff earn these 5 stars each day! Wouldn't think of entrusting the care of my pets to any other veterinarian or animal hospital!

We Brought Our Cat Today Just Dogs In The Waiting Room. Had Our Cat In A Cat Carrier. It's 90 Degrees Out Side, Large Dogs Aproached Our Carrier, Told Reception Desk Lady What Was Going, So She Said People With Cats Have To Wait In The Car!!!!. Really!!! Bad Policy!!

Please read before you decided to bring your beloved pet to Spencer Springs Animal Hospital. About 10 years ago, we moved here with 5 dogs while in search of a vet, we found Dr. Costa who just purchased Spencer Springs AH. In the beginning, Dr. Costa always took her time examining our dogs and explaining the issues and treatment options. We fully trusted her until recently. Over the last couple years, we have noticed their service has really eroded where even the staff are speaking badly about each other’s (e.g. Tech mentions Dr. Costa is not as thorough as other doctors; front desk blames management for making schedule too tight; Dr. Costa admits she is overworked and office is disorganized). In the past couple years, Dr. Costa and her staff have made mistakes including 1) never spotted the tumor on the splint after ultrasound and just kept on pushing useless meds which caused dogs to get sicker. After another Animal Hospital showed us the tumor in splint and showed Dr. Costa, she was then able to see it. 2) Their tech failed to remove all the sutures which caused infection and pain a month later and we had to return to treat the infected area. 3) IV fluid catheter needle was not in the vein for 2-3 hours which caused leg and chest swollen with liquid under the skin and caused dog in pain. They never checked on the dog nor said anything when we picked her up at end of day. Later at home, we found out why dog was in pain, their office was already closed so we had to rush our baby in pain to an ER. Next day when we called, they denied that was the cause and said it could be the bandage too tight, and yet we have the report from ER vet confirming the swollen was caused by IV drip not going into vein. So my baby was in pain inside a cage at Dr. Costa facility for hours. 4) if you have X-ray or ultrasound done in Dr. Costa’s office, you will always get an answer “everything looks fine” and they just push more meds to you instead taking time to find out the root problem. Dr. Costa was only good at reading blood results chart and was never able to detect a heart murmur or read anything from ultrasound image. We always had to find out either from another vet office or after dogs passed away the real reason that caused our dogs sick. After losing our 3 babies plus 2 still sick, I really wish I would have switched vet earlier but we trusted Dr. Costa so we kept on returning back to her. Little do we know that she has changed over the past couple years and saving animal is no longer her priority.

Had a great experience with a new Dr. One of my babies needed just an annual check-up, while my Boyfriends cat having a harder time and despite the bad news and possible treatment options, she was so very kind, caring and answered all my questions. She actually let me speak and cover all the concerns I had without interruption. We were there for many hours but able to stay very comfortably. She gave us small hope, and with that I thank her and hopefully we can figure out what is wrong with him. ♡♡♡

We have been using Spencer Springs for the last 12 year for our pets. Can’t say enough great things about the staff and services offered. Definitely give them a five Star rating.
