Everything was great. Made an appointment the day before and was seen in a good manner of time. The doctor and nurse was very nice and reassuring. My cat doesn’t like other people but the nurse said she was very well behaved and calm, which is why this will always be my to go place for my cats needs.

Always a great experience from check-in to seeing Dr. Bivens. Very grateful to have transferred my fur kids care to Buffalo Animal Hospital.

If you love your baby stay away from this please and you hear it from someone that was working there for 2 years I tried to make this place better but I give up (the place give you the best vibe but 80% of the staff are having zero experience with dogs special with cat

There's nothing negative I can say. I felt super welcome like if everyone had know me for a long time. Lilo was super calm and relaxed and felt very loved by everyone.

My dog got an appointment at 8:30 am on December 14, 2021 and we checked in at approximately 8:15 am I waited until 9:00 the staff at the desk doesn’t care if you are waiting that long or not and I asked them on how many more minutes till they see my dog, she said he is next and they see and taken this lady’s dog that just came and me still waiting. I have an important thing to go at 9:30 that morning and so, I just said forget this appointment and this will be my last time with their place.

Please be aware of this place! My husband and I called this morning regarding our chihuahua. He was experiencing an extremely hard stomach, difficulty breathing and shaking shortly after eating. There were no appointments but the woman I spoke to said we could come in as a walk in. She said there would be a little wait but that we would get seen. My husband and I immediately drove there with our dog, who was clearly not feeling well. We were taken into an exam room and waited and waited. We arrived at 10:30. An hour and a half later, we still had not been seen by anyone. Not a technician, not a vet. We watched as employee after employee walked by our room and could hear them taking inventory, moving items around and calling about other patients. We finally called another clinic and made an appointment someplace else. As we left, we saw two technicians standing around holding and playing with puppies. We fully understood as a walk in, we would have to wait. But to sit there for an hour and a half with an animal in distress and not be seen by anyone while their employees are playing with puppies and doing inventory just seems unacceptable for an animal hospital. The other clinic we called immediately understood the seriousness of his symptoms and made room for us in their schedule right away. I wish we had called them first. So please be aware about going to this clinic. They don’t seem to care about animals in distress.

If you have a cat be very careful what doctor you select at this facility. Some of the doctors here are not very experienced with cats or any animal for that fact. Check their credentials. After bringing my cat here three times for the same condition found out from another doctor ( that specializes in cats) this clown from this facility was treating her for something totally different. Told me that she might have an infection under her skin from the chip that is placed in them in rescue center “really”! Had me put medication oil on my cat for three weeks? Didn’t do jack. Turned out my cat had an allergy! when I went to a true Professional veterinarian that specializes in cats On So.Durango.condition was cleared up in 5 days.for half the price too! Be very careful. They should just gut this place and make it into another PT‘s cocktail lounge.You would get better service!

Dr Bivens at South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital is so professional and caring and we would never go anywhere else but South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital with Dr Bivens.

Great place to take your fur babies. Everyone on staff is wonderful. They answer ur questions.... and take care of ur pets. I have even borded my baby there as well. PERFECT

Great annimal hospital but a victim of their own successs. always crazy busy. 45 min wait to see a Vet even with an appointment. walk ins be prepared to wait for 90 mins easy.

Thus far, For the past two years they’ve been taking care of our two dogs. I have found them to be pleasant, concerned, understanding, and compassionate. Although I do feel a bit overpriced but you get good quality care with a good quality price. I do understand the reason for the pricing but I will still be going back to my vets office

I don’t feel like they cared to give my elderly cat much attention . She had a seizure and One of her legs is hurt and she had blood work previously stating her kidneys were fine and they refused to do any work until I paid for more blood work, they said it could be a blood clot but it would affect both legs so maybe not ? And then charged me for an exam and all they did was check her gums. They did give her an IV drip for $40 which helped her energy and gave her medication that seems to be too strong for her small weight . I really feel like they didn’t care much in treating her unless I was willing to spend $1000 when I just spent $800 on several tests a few months ago that were all inconclusive.

Right from check in all the way to check out, we had a very good experience. Despite being busy, we were checked in promptly and seated in a room. There was a bit of a wait time before seeing the doctor but Dr.Bivens warm, welcoming charm definitely won us over. He is definitely the type of vet who is in this field for the care & love of the animals. He was very thorough with our pug, answered all our questions and was so sweet to our English Bulldog. He was very knowledge was the smush-faced dogs so if you had a bulldog or pug I highly recommend him! He is highly requested so expect a little bit of wait for the appointment scheduling. The girls in the front desk did a great job when getting us in and out quickly. The techs are super sweet and handled the care well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE!

They cannot get my name right, which is why they could not get my dog's records from his previous vet. They also didn't take accountability for their stupidity. Jennifer is not hard to spell, especially since they were my vet the last time I lived in Vegas. The staff was very condescending, poorly handled my dog, and a staff member lewdly hit on my daughter. I am sickened by my experience and will never return.

Why is it that EVERY TIME we come visit they make us wait regardless of our appointment time? Last time we had an appointment and they took my dog in 40 mins past the set appointment time. Today we went as a walk-in, it is hot in Vegas and you make us wait in the car for 2 hrs??? When I call in, they always ask to hold as soon as they pickup and puts me on hold for 10-15 mins. A 15 min hold for a conversation that only lasted for 2 mins. If you guys got rid of taking appointments online, then be better at taking phone calls.

I brought in my puppies to get checked they all look good all of them walking breathing and moving around as soon as one of the doctors seen them they said oh their malnourished and they're sick but they were eating and doing everything that they had to do I just don't understand why all of a sudden the doctor says 4 hours later my dog's not breathing well and that we should think about possible euthanationor take it to a surgical center by the time I finish the surgical center and called back to South Buffalo they said that my dog wasn't going to make it and euthanize it it was the hardest thing I ever did euthanize a puppy oh well after this I'll never trust some of the doctors there again

The worst. Their front office staff is extremely unresponsive.

I’ve been going here for 5 years. Wait times have always been a huge problem (45 mins to 1 hr). Mid-pandemic they switched to walk-ins only, which was a mess. I heard they had finally switched to appointments only, so I gave them another chance. Scheduled appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived, I could tell it was still a mess. Parking lot packed, building packed, no rooms available. I waited in the lobby for 45 mins before I left. I’m done with this place. Every time I go here the doctor I saw the previous time is no longer with them. They apparently cater to bulldog and french bulldog breeders, because that’s all you see here. Breeder after breeder, coming and going for ultrasounds and c-section deliveries. If you’re a sleazy dog breeder who wants to churn out puppies for paychecks, this is the place for you. If you’re a normal pet owner who wants regular vaccinations and check-ups, stay away.

Took my dog here for possible infection. Waited two hours, saw lots of walk ins approach the desk saying they had no appointment and were seen and left before us. lobby packed almost exclusively with french bulldog "breeders" with dogs in extremely poor health. seems like this is a specialty of theirs? We witnessed nearly every single person who came and went during our 2 hour wait had the most ridiculous billing errors and mixups, staff seemed very confused, disorganized and inexperienced. Also for the fee and extreme wait time you'd be better off going to a legitimate ER or a proper office.

Dr Bivens is amazing!! His passion and love for animals is amazing. He treats them as his own. Veronica up front...same thing!! I have moved to Summerlin and wouldn't dare think of finding a vet closer to my new homes.

If you really love your dog or cat, do not take your favorite pet to this horror South Buffalo Springs Animal hospital. They can fake that they did the shot or vaccine to your pet, they way overcharge for their poor quality services compare to other animal hospitals in Vegas. They tell you over the phone that they take only walk ins for now when you ask them to make you an appointment so you don't need to wait for the doctor for three hours in a freezing room and lobby. And when you show up, and tell them that you are a " walk in", they will tell you that you must of made an appointment!!! How rediculous it is! If you love your pet, take it to another animal hospital for their own safety and you will not be overcharged. Thank you.

I’ve had 3 frenchies and have taken them all here. I’ve always had great service and every visit has gone quickly and smoothly. Including a time I went in with an emergency.

Took my pregnant dog there for a x-ray and they told me there were 4 to 5 puppies in her. So I asked about c-section and the doc told me she would be able to give birth naturally so long the stud was smaller than her which he is. So she gave birth last night to 12 puppies which the last 5 didn't make it because she was to tired to push. Thats a big difference from 4 to 5, never again am I taking my dogs there and ill make sure to tell anyone who ask for a vet also... thanks alot!!

Great care for Our Dogs !

We arrived 10 minutes prior to our appointment and called from the parking lot to check in as instructed. Was told a vet tech would be out in 5 minutes or less, after waiting in the HOT sun for 15 minutes I called back and was told our dog was next. After another 15 minutes and watching 4 tech come out to other cars and watching 2 guys walked right in with their dogs I called again to say we’re leaving and taking our elsewhere. I have never seen such poor customer service!

I took my baby girl to do an artificial insemination surgery because they recommended it since it had a better chance of success. And not only my dog didn't get pregnant, she also get an ovarian infection and I have to remove all of her reproductive system in order to save her. I spend a lot of time and money in this clinic only to see my girl suffering. Don't give fake hopes, and make sure every dog leaves the clinic safe.

My friend took his female bulldog and when taking his puppyz home . He saw one of his puppy was cut open from the hands and belly. He die hrs later.. when trying to call office there were close. Hey pay over 1400

Dr Bivens, Shantel, Shane and the entire staff are fantastic. I’ve never gone to a vet and felt confident and happy with the office and staff. Hands down, the best vet in the country
