I have been extremely pleased with the staff and with Dr. Mukhtar ever since he took over this practice. Dr. Mukhtar is great at explaining what is going on and discussing possible treatments, and his assistants and staff are knowledgeable, kind and helpful.

I cannot recommend them enough. Everyone is so caring and was very understanding of our situation. I will come here as long as I can :-)

The only place I’ll take my pups! I drive over 30 mins to come here instead of using any vet closer to me because they don’t show as much genuine care for my dogs as the staff here at Laguna do

It was our first experience with doctor Mukhtar, he was very compassionate when working with our dog, Rosie. He treated my dog with kindness and respect, he’s very knowledgeable, he also called me the next day to follow up on Rosie, Penny was very kind and friendly, My dog feels much better now and I appreciate their help.

The vet was great! Listened to all of my concerns with our new puppy, addressed them all & provided even more helpful information!! First set of shots were quick & painless because he was back in our arms in about 10 mins & we didn't hear a peep from our pup! Looking forward to a long relationship with them & our dog!!!

Doctor and staff were fabulous, caring, and thorough. On Saturday my regular vet was unable to see our dog till Wednesday. I was concerned about an infection on our older doggie's leg. She has multiple medical conditions so I had her records sent over before we arrived. I called that morning and had an appointment within an hour. The doctor was so patient and I knew he was prepared. He had taken the time to review her records. He was careful in prescribing an antibiotic that would be least harmful to her kidneys. They were thoughtful and reasonable. I am so thankful to know this veternary practice is so close. They may become our regular vet. Thank you all!

I went to this vet because my other vet was booked. All I can say is that I am so glad that I found them. This place is really amazing. The vet has a way about him that reminds me of a small town veterinarian who cares for all of the communities animals. The support staff is great too. Our dog Sunny, who can be pretty skittish around new people took right to the staff and was comfortable. To put it simply. Kind people, who really care, highly professional but still feels like family, and beyond competent at what they do. I highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a new vet or want to try something a little more like family and less like big business trying to make as much money as possible by seeing a million animals a day

The entire staff was very friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. We were visiting the area and our dog got sick from drinking too much ocean water. He became very lethargic and wouldn't eat. We brought Leo in and they ran a few tests and gave him what he needed for a quick recovery and he was back to himself within a few hours. They followed up the next day to make sure Leo was recovering. Highly recommend Laguna Beach Veterinary Medical Center for locals and visitors alike.

From the instant I met Dr. Mukhtar and his staff at LB Veterinary Medical Center, I felt secure about my pet's care. Everyone at the Center is patient and caring. Dr. Mukhtar takes the time necessary to make a full diagnosis and to visit with the owners to ensure the plan for the pet is appropriate. We have an 11-year old Aussie named Latte who was suffering from ear infections and arthritis. She perked up immediately after visiting Dr. Mukhtar and has been wagging ever since. I highly recommend!

Dr. Muhammed is very thorough and gentle. He explains everything in detail so we can clearly understand what is going on with our pet. He gives us treatment options when available. We have highly recommended him to our pet owner friends.

Staff and vet are very sympathetic to client circumstance. They advice you of special days where discounts are available and recommend them. The main thing is that they care and remember you AND follow up is amazing. My physician should take notes. :)

So happy to have found Dr. Mukhtar’s office based on a friend’s recommendation! I was looking for a second opinion after years of poor service from the now-Banfield vet in Laguna Niguel. At Banfield they were always trying to add extra services and upcharges. They would fail to return phone calls with medical questions (i.e. an adverse reaction to prescribed medication. Just never called back.) It was always a different doctor and front office staff, no one really knew my pet or her situation. Dr. Mukhtar’s office is the opposite! At Laguna Beach Vet Med, I was able to easily schedule an appointment right away (Banfield made me wait several days even though I told them my cat was suffering from dermatitis). Dr. Mukhtar came out after examining our cat (COVID times) and spent a long time reviewing his findings and our options in detail. He gave us plenty of time to mull it over with zero pressure to choose, and gave us multiple options in case we were working on a budget. No pushing for the most expensive option. We ended up asking to add a teeth cleaning since our cat was going to be put under anyway. It was her first in her 7 years of life, and no extractions were needed! All the office staff we have interacted with are kind and professional. They are easy to communicate with and seemed sweet with my cat. I walked in impressed by Dr. Mukhtar’s bio, and walked out very happy with my experience at this office, start to finish. TLDR - I have finally found a vet to trust with my pet’s life. 10/10 would recommend.

My first experience at Laguna Beach Veterinary Medical Center was great. Dr. Mukhtar and his staff are amazing. We visited laguna beach veterinary medical center about a month ago while my pet got attacked by an other dog and bleeding from his injuries. Dr. Mukhtar explained different treatment options in detail and an hour later all the injuries sutured up and my baby was ready to go home. I really appreciate as they took us as walk in and their prices are reasonable.

A new dr at this clinic. Seems nice enough. Gave a couple of options for work to be done to the 2 dogs. Lobby is closed so you wait in your car and they take your pet inside. They were very nice and gentle.

They are so kind, patient, and responsive. We felt completely at ease leaving our pup there for x-rays and testing after he stopped eating and drinking. He is doing amazing now, we are so grateful for them!!
