Great Vet.. and service from personnel is excellent

We have been taking our girls here for 9 yrs. For all their needs and are always treated very well.

I have a friend who took her dog to this hospital for years and planned on continuing to take him here even though she moved about 20 miles away. But the last few times she took him, she was treated badly by the staff and they didn't accommodate for her dog to be seen after THEY messed up scheduling her appointment. The staff didn't care that her dogs ear was bleeding and he was scratching uncontrollably. All they said was "you can schedule another appointment in two weeks if you want". After so many years of coming to this place, they could care less if her dog was in pain. She had to find somewhere new to take him where they actually care about his well being.

My friend took her dog to this hospital for over 4 years and didn't have any problems. However recently the staff has been giving her a difficult time with getting her dog in for an appointment and they do not seem to care about her dog being in pain. They messed up on scheduling her appointment and instead of being accommodating after their own mistake, they wanted my friend to wait two weeks while her dogs ear continues to get worse and has been bleeding. They didn't even offer her other places she can take her dog. They don't care about the lives of pets. I wouldn't recommend bringing your pets here.

Although my dog died the doctor and his staff took very good care of my Gooby. I rescued him off of the street 5 years ago when he was nothing but skin and bones. Until yesterday's incident they helped make him a healthy and happy boy.

One of my friends made an appointment here and was asked if she could come on a different day instead. She asked if her dog could be seen within one hour she'd be able to otherwise she wanted to keep her regular appointment. They assured her it wouldn't take long and when she went in she waited for 1hr 20 minutes before she asked to leave because it was taking too long and she had work. They charged her $42 for a consultation but failed to tell her what was wrong with her dog. She made a follow up appointment and when she arrived, they told her the staff member failed to record the appointment in the system and her dog wouldn't be able to be seen. After THEIR mistake, they didn't offer a sooner appointment, didn't refer her to a nearby hospital, or ask how her dog was doing (he's not doing well by the way). Even after 4 years of being a loyal customer, they couldn't care less about her pets well being.

This place is an absolute joke and totally unorganized. I had an appointment for my dog that was bleeding, for weeks. Showed up for my appointment, waited an ungodly amount, only to remain unseen because I had to go to work. Not to mention, I was still charged for the appointment. I reschedule, come to find that they never actually rescheduled my appointment when I showed up next. Instead of trying to accommodate me for a mistake THEY made, I had to go elsewhere to find PROPER care for my dog all the while, my poor dog was in pain and suffering. If you value the safety of your pet, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. Staff is rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. My pet deserves more care and attention, it’s literally their job.

Horrible service. I made a Saturday appointment for my dog and they called me to change my appointment during the week. I said I could only do the weekday appointment if I can be out by 3:30. Long story short, they had me waiting there for OVER AN HOUR. I called and asked for my dog back because I had to go and then they charged me $42 for a "consultation fee" and they never even told me what was wrong with my dog.

I recently took in my puppy for follow up shots, as well as an exam on her cropped ears. I was thinking of having them posted and they said they didn’t need to be posted but if I wanted them to be, it’d be a duration of two weeks. I said I’d think about it and would call back to schedule an appointment. When I called back; they said they’d be posted for SIX weeks and she’d be sedated when that information was NEVER provided initially. They blamed mis-communication but that was completely a 180.

I had been searching for days to find a place to accept walk ins and weren't at full capacity. My poor puppy had a bite and huge rash....he wasn't eating and wasn't himself. Found this place and explained to the lady who answered the phone and she got him in thank God. It can be a little pricey for blood work but worth every penny. So glad I found this place

great vet, friendly staff that works quick

I went there in hope's of saving my pups life but the vet had no care in the world for our dog. In addition to that they dont let anyone into the facility so my pup struggled for his life for 30min in the car while the vet asked the front desk receptionists to come out and take care of paperwork before they even looked at my dog. Needless to say, when they finally took him in, he had left us!!! We NEVER saw the vet either.

Great customer service despite being curbside service.

Best experience. I Iike the Covid way, they come to your car, take your Dog, give them their shots, bring them back to your car. Easy peasy. The staff is wonderful

I recently had a visit with them for my cat. She had a slight limp on her paw. They did xray and prescribed Metacam to take home, which I was to administer orally. Well apparently the FDA has a warning that it shouldn't be administered to cats. I wish I would have known that beforehand because she passed away. I am extremely distraught from what happened. She was a young cat under 3 years. Warning for all cat people, please bring your cats elsewhere. RIP too my poor cat.

I called 2 pet hospitals. The quotes were similar, hang nail 15 to 17 and office visit 35, medication 24. Quote near $ 100 both pet hospitals are friendly. Bill cost was a diffrent from quote, office price, nail trim, meds $284.

Friendly just a tad bit pricy

Just called for a cat spaying quote and first was told they can’t give me the price (what? Why not?) Puts me on hold then said it would be over $200 to spay my kitten!? That’s really expensive compared to other places nearby. I’ll have to go elsewhere.

We have been taking all of our pets to Southern California Animal Hospital for over a decade. The staff is always responsive and caring. I recommend Dr. Kumar and associates to all of my pet owning friends. I can rely on them to be caring and wise in their care of my pets.

The girls who work the front desk are great

So happy to find such a great staff and knowledgeable vet!! Had to take my 7-year old pit bull in for knee surgery and wanted to find a place that would treat him well. I could tell right away the staff really loves animals and they treated Charlie with great care during his 3-4 day stay. They were great at keeping me updated with Charlie's progress and the vet/staff was available to answer any post-surgery questions. Prior to surgery, the vet spent time to thoroughly explain the different surgery options. The vet was very knowledgeable it is very convenient he could also perform surgery because Charlie's knee had to get retouched due to his hyper spirit. So happy we found a wonderful vet to help us with his knee surgery!
