Imperial Animal Hospital La Mirada, California

Brought my dog in that had a open cut that got infected. Dr said it was a burst tumor and had to get operated on .would cost me 1200$. Got a second opinion from another vet. They gave me antibiotics and a steroid shot and the cut cleared up in 2 weeks. This vet is money hungry and does not care about yoir pet. I guess he needs the money for his eyebrow inplamts

Made an appointment and took my dog in (he needed a prescription and he was having seasonal allergies) only to realize they’re still doing curbside. No big deal, Covid is still happening, but I wish I would have known that prior to making a first appointment. It’s hard to get a gauge on a new to you vet when you aren’t there when they meet/see your dog. We waited about half an hour after our appointment time which was a lot for my little guy (he gets anxious) and between them getting him and taking him inside, was only like, 15 minutes. I talked to whoever brought him out (assuming he was one of the vets) and he didn’t have much to say. I asked him about options for the allergies and he gave me a few which was good and i picked the best one in my eyes and they were able to fill it on the spot. When I asked about the flea medication prescription he said okay but they didn’t carry it so I’d have to get it elsewhere. And that was it. Went home with the allergy meds and a prescription, went on chewy to get the script filled and thought that’d be it. After a week of not hearing or getting a shipped message from the ever punctual chewy, I reached out and they said they were waiting to hear back from the vet. I thought that was weird so I went ahead and canceled it and tried again. Another few days and I get a “this is our third time trying to reach Imperial Animal Hospital” email so I called and it went straight to voicemail. Left a voice message and didn’t hear back so I called because my dog needs his meds ASAP and the man who answered sounded completely bothered. He also informed me they no longer do that (connect with online pharmacies to fill prescriptions) which would have been nice to know at the time when I received the prescription… What a waste of money and time. Avoid this place.

I love this place. The vets are friendly and they are always helpful with any questions I ever have. They are also very clean which I appreciate.

I have always had great care for my dogs there. They are very nice and compassionate.

USED to be FIVE This new policy of forcing owners to have a fully priced Exam before EVERY booked boarding stay is just a way for them to nickel and dime people and its bloody ridiculous! Never supporting this facility again.

I found 2 stray kittens, took them to Dr. Kim and he examined both. They had an eye infection he gave medicine and worm shots. Did not charge me. That made me feel that his main concern was the health of the stray kittens. I love the staff have been going there for the past few years with my cat and I’m very happy. I highly recommend!! Ps. I found homes for both kittens

I have been coming here for 10 years. The staff is always courteous and the Doctors are outstanding! My dog had kennel cough, I was unable to get an appointment. I showed up and they were able to squeeze me in.! Doggy happy and cured!!! Customer for LIFE....

I have bringing my pets here for over 20 years and will not bring them anywhere else.

We have three Chow Chows - and they have had nothing but the best care from shots to surgeries!!! Doctors Kim and staff we salute you and recommend you wholeheartedly!!!

The service is generally good, but the prices range much higher than elsewhere. We paid nearly 400 dollars for a rabies titer that we later found was less than 200 at a different clinic. During preparation for overseas travel, we were not informed that a separate appointment at the USDA office would be required until the day of the actual health certificate. This caused great inconvenience and was completely avoidable. We have decided to find a different clinic, even though the care and courtesy is generally good.

Years ago, took my Shepherd there because he was showing signs of sickness. They took blood, told me everything looked good. I found him dead in my back yard the next morning. I wouldn't have let him suffer if the vet could've figured out what was wrong with him. Will never forget or forgive that. Not recommended.

I had taken my baby to VCA and cant believe how much they charged for a cut on her stomach VCA Hospitals are ridiculous they charged me for every little thing its not about the care they only care about $$$ sighns. I pulled my babies out due to a cut on her stomach and brought her to imperial and the took her in right away and the care and cost was unbelievable I will never take her to VCA . Imperial Hospital is the best and reasonable. The staff is wonderful.

This is the second time we went to imperial animal Hospital the first time with our dog and this time with her cat both times was a great experience friendly staff great doctors very clean I can’t say enough about it take your pets there

I have been with this vet for 35 years and they have always taken great care of my dogs and cats. The staff is wonderful and even though they are more expensive, it is worth it.

I’m a little bit confused here, all these great reviews and here I come giving a one star. Maybe because we weren’t Korean? We came here with our baby Pom for a check up, shots and one of he’s ear needed attention . Only reason why we came was because our amazing groomers recommend him. The owner which is also the Vet is extremely rude, very mean from the get go. We were paying patients we didn’t come here for free services. The way he was talking to us and the way he grabbed our baby made the whole visit a FAIL !!! but maybe he’s racist because we weren’t Korean. Never coming back here again. Rude, Rude, Rude.

My Girl dog had a skin ulcer infected. They provide us a quality and professional service at reasonable cost. Friendly staff.

First time having to take my dog to the vet in eight years so I was super nervous, but the welcoming staff and excellent doctor put me at ease in their clean, airy building. The price was perfect and I was ready to argue against xrays, additional bloodwork or testing but it wasn't necessary. I felt like I got quality professional service at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend this place!

My dog had an ear infection and they were able to get me in quickly. The doctor was caring and professional. He clearly explained treatment and answered all my questions. I will definitely go back and refer this vet to my friends-

We had to let our beloved girl go and even though this was the first time we ever used this veterinary hospital they treated us with the utmost compassion and treated her so gently to the very end. We couldnt be more thankful to the staff for the kindness we were shown during such a difficult time. We will highly recommend this veterinary staff to everyone.

After calling several vet offices in the area,ONLY Imperial Animal Hospital would see my very sick puppy THE SAME DAY! Being new to the area,the staff and Dr took my sick puppy and calmed my nerves and helped my puppy recovery 100%. Im thankful to have found a Vet office that I will gladly be proud to recommend to any other pet owner who cares about quality and service for their other family member.

We left our dog overnight and she was injured . No one ever said a word and totally denied it. However after my wife wrote the doctor, he asked us to bring her in for a check up at no charge. Couldnt pin point what hapoened but did not charge us for the visit. Didnt like what happened but they did try to make it right.

We took our English Bulldog to Dr Kim , he is an excellent Vet (our prior vet was way too expensive & missed her problem ) One visit with Dr Kim & she is like a puppy again, price was very reasonable & his care is 2nd to none . I am already recommending him to all our friends.
