The technicians and staff were friendly and treated my dog as if he were their own. Our technician, Kathy, answered my questions and provided many exercises for us to do at home.

Great place to get your pup back to health. They've helped me greatly over the past two weeks with exercises and therapy for my 9 year old pup get back to using all 4 legs (knee surgery). She hates water, but they got her used to the underwater treadmill quickly.

My dog has cushings disease and was losing strength in his rear legs. Healthy Paws Rehab came up with a great treatment plan and goes above and beyond in caring for him! Love this place!

The team at Healthy Paw is fantastic! Their quality care and attention to strengthening my Golden Retriever as she recovers from surgery is second to none. The staff is dedicated, compassionate, and take the time to explain their work and answer any questions I might have regarding the therapy my dog is receiving. I’m very impressed and know my dog is in good hands as she recovers.

Healthy Paw was recommended to us by our amazing surgeon. Barley had her first appointment for rehab after her TPLO surgery with Dr. Renee and it went great! They were so great with her and helping make her comfortable, she gets a little nervous in new situations but because they were so kind and prepared with extra treats she warmed up to them immediately! They were highly knowledgeable and we can't wait to see how her knee/mobility is after all her rehab appts with this amazing staff! We also got to meet Dr. Kelsey this visit who was equally awesome and have a few appts with her ahead- everyone was so nice/caring and interested in Barley and how to help get her back to her best self! Highly recommend Healthy Paw Rehab if your fur baby is in need of rehab!

I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paw Rehab. The staff is amazing. Both Renee and Kelsey are so passionate about what they do and it shows. One of my current dogs, Charlie Bear comes here twice a week and is making great strides and is getting stronger after his back surgery. He also loves the Charlee Bear treats and peanut butter kongs they have... We highly recommend Healthy Paw Rehab!

Healthy Paw is amazing! I approached Renee about my dog and help getting him a prosthetic (we needed someone with knowledge about dog anatomy to make an impression and take measurements and my regular vet did not feel comfortable working with the material). Renee stepped up and offered to do her best; when it didn't work out she gave me the resources to get the impression done with someone else. Once we received the prosthetic, she was willing to take on Flynn's case and work on his therapy. The prosthetic case manager recommends at least 6 months of therapy, which Flynn will have done at the end of September (we will likely continue to go as we are trying to tweak the length of his prosthetic for a better outcome for Flynn and these changes could take time to get right). Even though this prosthetic is totally new technology for Healthy Paw, they took the case on and have done amazing! Flynn is really impressing everyone whenever we go out because he is doing so well! I seriously trust their judgement and fully recommend them to anyone in need of pet rehab. I'm sure there are places closer for me to go (I live in Lakeside) but the staff at Healthy Paw are 100% worth driving to La Mesa regularly. They're very capable of doing their jobs and incredibly honest and up front, and they definitely have fostered a community of pet lovers marching to therapy for the sake of their pets.

My dog Putunya is 13 yrs old and 80 pounds she is a big dog. Her back legs are getting weaker, but coming back to healthy paw rehab has really helped. She gos in the water treadmill and gets laser therapy and massage. She really enjoys the therapy and I can tell a difference she is getting stronger. Thanks to the therapists at Healthy Paw Rehab.

My arthritic elderly Golden Retriever had steadily worsening hip and back issues. After just a few sessions of physical therapy at Healthy Paw Rehab Center, he had remarkable improvement. He can now run and play like a much younger dog. The staff at Healthy Paws is very knowledgeable and really care about their canine patients. I was very hesitant at first about the underwater treadmill because my Golden is afraid of water, but Renee even went in the tank with him to relieve his fears. Now he loves going to physical therapy and I’m so happy having my best friend back to his playful self. If your best friend has hip, back, or joint problems, I highly recommend taking your dog to Healthy Paw.

Excellent experience with my dog's rehabilitation! Renee came highly recommended by the specialists and worked patiently to keep muscle strength and development up while we tackled auto-immune inflammation. She had great suggestions for natural treatments and we were able to turn the condition and prognosis around. Highly recommended for all therapies we used: e-stim, laser, underwater treadmill, massage. Her rapport with the dogs is amazing.

Our aging Australian Shepherd was so affected by arthritis and painful joints leading to weakness and deterioration of the muscles around his joints. We took him to Healthy Paw Rehab in La Mesa for help. The therapist, Renee Wallis, did an evaluation of our dog and we began a therapy program of the treadmill in water, supported by laser treatment of his joint muscles. She is well trained, effective and thorough in the treatment regimen, to say nothing of the caring handling of our "boy." We can certainly highly recommend this rehab center and Renee, In a month of service we see real benefit to our Aussie, and are continuing to achieve even more.

Gulliver, my dog, enjoyed both the physical and water therapy sessions with Renee. He became stronger to the point that he could now bear weight on his legs and even push himself up and stand momentarily. A major improvement from not being able to stand at all without holding him up myself. Renee would send us home with an exercise program to continue with Gulliver and offered suggestions for mobility devices and other ways to improve his traction while walking. She was always encouraging him while she worked with him and rewarded him with healthy treats. She also was attentive to when he was getting tired and needed to stop. Renee came highly recommended to us and I would also recommend her to anyone needing therapy for their pet.

Our dachshund, Hector, ruptured a disc on March 3. After emergency surgery, he was given a 50/50 chance of walking again. With the wonderful love and care and expertise from Renee, at Healthy Paw, Hector is now up on his feet and walking. We are delighted with his progress and we highly recommend anyone to go here. Our dog gets excited at the mere mention of Renee's name!
