Dr. Breher is an amazing vet. I normally take my dog to another vet in PB but I called them with an emergency and my vet in PB turned me away and recommended I contact an emergency vet because they were too busy to see him. I immediately called La Jolla Veterinary Hospital and they saw my dog immediately and discovered that he had injested a cat toy mouse and it was lodged in his small intestines. He was in a lot of pain. Dr. Breher has a wonderful bedside manner and quickly resolved the issue. It's obvious that she and her team truly care about your fur babies. I am now a new customer of LJ Veterinary Hospital and will no longer take my pets to the animal hospital in PB. I highly recommend Dr Breher and LJ Veterinary Hospital. Their fees were extremely reasonable for xrays, ultrasound and the surgery to remove a foreign body from my pup. Thank you Dr Breher and staff! You saved my baby!

First off, they told me the wrong prices over the phone, they said it would be $65 for my kitten's blood work and then $109 to neuter him. So I bring him for his first appointment and they take him inside. The nurse called me while I was in my car asking normal questions about my cat and then she says, “So depending on what blood work the vet wants to do, it may be $99- $120 for the blood work", and I said, “wait a second, the girl on the phone said it would be $65 for the blood work” and she says, “I’m sorry she is new, she meant $65 for the appointment and then $120 for the blood work, and just so you are aware it will be $425 for the neuter tomorrow”. I gasped and said, "What!!! The girl said it would be around $175 total" and she is said, "I am sorry it will be around $620 total". I said, "absolutely not bring me my cat right now" and they did, but I am sorry $620 to neuter a male kitten is a robbery!!!

We have been going to La Jolla Veterinary Hospital for over 30 years. The doctors and staff are like family and have taken exceptional care of our canine and feline family members. They are the only veterinarian hospital in the village area that is open 7 days a week and at night Mon.-Fri. Highly recommend !!!

We've been going to LJ Vets for years and can attest to their great care of our two doggies. I trust them to always do what is right, and to communicate with me about the care and costs involved so I know exactly what is best for our Westies.

We had a situation with our small dog that needed urgent attention. The staff at La Jolla Veterinary Hospital were accommodating and thorough. Our fur baby has made a complete recovery. I have been a client for 7 years and have always had great service, but this time they went above and beyond. Thank you to the Staff!

La Jolla Veterinary took on care of our senior golden retriever a little over a year ago. The staff and doctors are all extremely positive and helpful. It is obvious they care about the animals they see. We lost our golden last month. As a final gesture of compassion, the hospital sent us a card filled with the staff's signatures and individual notes. It was a wonderful reminder of how loved our pet was. I will continue to use LJ Veterinary for my future pet needs based on the care and compassion they show.

A little costly but just the right one! They might suggest you a lot of tests. But the vet was great she listened patiently and gave some great suggestions.

Staff is great, they love animals any kind any type. Everyone always has a smile, they understand the need of an animal when it's sick. I recommend this place to anyone who needs special care for their pets.

Great people. Took care of my dog with care spent time talking with me to get to know her history and everything I have tried. Gave clear directions for medication. I felt very happy to have chosen them to take care of my fur baby

Excellent Veterinarian, Dr. Sarlati, & VetTech! They are very knowledgeable about the Shar-Pei breed. Our new puppy was comfortable in their care, this was a well visit & vax, so don't be deterred by the "hospital" in the business name... This is a full service veterinary office with extended hours. The staff are reasonable & set visit and price expectations well. The cost is comparable to industry standards for regular veterinary services & they do not up-sell unnecessary services or products. We are very pleased with the service and care received at La Jolla Veterinary Hospital and will continue with them as our regular vet.

Absolutely awesome! They were able to squeeze my dog in for a health certificate extremely last minute and the flight was the following morning. The doctor and staff were incredibly accommodating and very pleasant to speak with.

The people at the La Jolla Veterinary Hospital are very nice and helpful. I love Dr. Ben Glicklin he has take very good care of my American Bull Dog. A.

We liked our prior vet, but the hours at La Jolla Vet are really convenient and they're very flexible with urgent issues. We first used their services as an emergency on a weekend when our pup woke up in pain. They were responsive and happy to see her even if we weren't established. I appreciate the vet taking the time to call us with findings and discuss treatment plans. It's easy to contact the office via email and their appointments are on time and fast. Our dog has been comfortable being evaluated, though can't say that she loves going to the vet. Prices are reasonable, and they discuss all the treatment rec so you can participate in your pets care.

Today they were wonderful seeing my cat with very short notice. Due to Covid precautions I could not go in with my cat, but waited outside and spoke to the vet by phone. I was very grateful for their willingness and kindness t deal with our little emergency so quickly

Great service and at a reasonable cost (although I would pay anything for my cat!). I had my 3yr old cat come here for her dental cleaning and I got her back 4 hours later. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions without hesitation. I had no worries bringing my cat here for treatment. The initial exam before the dental cleaning was great and I was provided with a detailed summary of the visit.

I’ve had nothing but great visits thus far, which is very meaningful. When your pet has a problem, it’s really nice to trust your doctor. For this office you make an appointment and it usually takes under an hour approximately. Sometimes you can get same day appointments, they seem flexible, so that’s relieving when you have a busy schedule. The doctors are thorough and answered all of my questions with no urgency. ????

I am so thankful to the staff here and how well they treat our little Emee and me (and our previous 3 who are now in Heaven). I was so appreciative that they saw Emee for her exam outside yesterday before going in for the blood draw and vaccine, so I could be 6 feet away since she's a very nervous dog with a bad heart. Emee was very comfortable with going inside without me since she was able to "warm-up" with her outdoor exam. We’ve had our dog since September 2019, and couldn’t be happier with how everyone here has treated us and our puppy Lilo! Most trustworthy group of people to have when dealing with your pets health. Couldn’t be happier with their service.

They charged me $600 to neuter my cat, sent it home still bleeding and now they're spamming my email address.

Dr. Breher is the most amazing vet any family could ask for. Hands down.

This was our first visit w our new pup. We all felt very welcome and extremely well cared for. Little Loki had a great first experience w the excellent Dr and team. Very professional and generous with information on how to care for our new fur baby.

The best vet I have ever been to!! My cat needed some attention on a Sunday afternoon, and I was so glad they were open. My usual vet is in PB, and although also very good, they were closed on Sunday. Dr. Glicklin was fantastic on the phone, and I've never had a veterinary clinic follow up with thank you cards. All around just a fantastic staff, great care, genuine concern for my pet, and excellent follow up. So happy to have found them!

Excellent vet hospital. All the vets here are wonderful and they are extremely thorough. If you are willing to be spendy to give your dog the best possible treatment they have everything here to do so. If you are a poor college student (like me) they are extremely affordable for basic services (like spay/neuter, puppy shots, regular checkups) so you are really getting the best of both worlds. Easy to schedule appointments online and if your animal has worrying symptoms when you fill it out they will give you a call to clarify (if it's an emergency they will make sure to fit you in). They are also accepting of pet insurance (I use trupanion) . I cannot recommend this hospital enough and any animal you take here will be in good hands. The only downside is the parking situation which can be hectic at times

The best vet I've had! We've mostly seen Dr. Sarlati and he has been absolutely fantastic! We've gone to him since our dog was a puppy and he helped us with any concerns we had about him and took great care of our dog. I also love that they have later hours so it's easy to make appointments for after work hours.

We are from out of town but had a situation where we needed to see a vet in San Diego before traveling back home. We called LaJolla Veterinary and they were so pleasant and accomodating! We saw Dr. Salarti and he was extremely kind and attentive. He spent quite a long time with us reviewing our options and gave us very sound and helpful advice. I highly recommend this clinic whether you are a native or a visitor!
